There’s been enough near death visits to scare him to the doctors again. Giving up on trying to heal himself with magical objects or temples, Illinois has finally turned to medicine. Quietly waiting in the office, his cane clicking against the ground in boredom

*After a few minutes, the doctor makes it to his own office where Illinois waited. He entered and closed the door behind him before sitting on the other side of his desk.*

Mr. Jones, I haven't seen you in a while. I'm glad to see you're still in one piece.

How may I be of service?

“Not sure if I’m still in one piece, but the sentiment is pretty nice. I’ve not been to a doctor in a while, and I think trying to help myself with artifacts is backfiring a bit. I’ve got insomnia, curse induced. Can only sleep a couple times a month.”

Setting his bag on the table, he brings up an artifact wrapped in paper. “Don’t touch it, but this little bastard caused it all.”

Seriously, Jones, you should try to be more careful before meddling with cursed artifacts. Next time, one of them could turn you into a dog, and I do not have a cure for that.

*The doctor warned as he looked over at the wrapped artifact.*

“The dog thing has already happened, and that was easier to fix than this. I think it’s happened a few times actually, maybe three or four?” Cracking his neck, he unfortunately remembers those in detail. Being laid up for days thanks to the vast shift in his bone structures.

“Got it in some temple, thought it was just a brand or something.”

“None taken. At least you haven’t screamed.” Tilting his head back, the snake wraps itself around his neck. Blinking slowly at the doctor, it hisses before continuing to circle Illinois’s neck.

“It tries to get out of my skin, biting and tearing at it to get out. Sometimes it bites me, I think it’s a little poisonous, I get dizzy for a bit.”

Oh trust me, when you receive your donations for the hospital from the most cursed undead man to ever exist, then nothing much will surprise you.

*Well, that was some awfully nice hearing. The doctor finally finds the antidote, carefully taking it with his gloved hand. After he grabs it, he places it on a small tool table right beside Illinois before he maneuvered to get a syringe.*

Apologies for the not so pleasant method, but if it's in your bloodstream, then I'm not taking any chances.

“At least you charge fairly.” Forcing himself to lock his hands together, tapping his foot impatiently. Trying to ignore the need to itch and pain coming from the welts. Biting his tongue when he sees the needle, closing his eyes.

“Just do it quickly, please..”

Understood. This won't hurt.

*Surprisingly, he was right. After placing some numbing on the spot where Illinois would receive the antidote, it honestly felt like a small pinch. Like when you pull a hair. After that, Dr. Iplier discards the syringe, cleans the spot to place a bandaid on it, and gets the clean tools to start with Illinois's wounds, starting with some disinfectant and ointment that helps for the irritation relief.*

There we go, and after this, I'll make sure to cover them up. They'll heal just fine.

Even though he doesn’t feel anything, his nails dig into the the arm of the chair. Exhaling shakily as he watches the needle leave, covering his arm in a bud to protect himself.

“Great..thanks doc..”

*Benjamin raises an eyebrow at the broad but then focuses back on the doctor, and opens his mouth as far as he can*

*He did a small move with his head, which made the small lenses on his glasses to lower to see better inside.*

*With a mirror handle with a small mirror on it, he carefully uses it to move Bejamin's cheek further and look at the tooth's reflection with the mirror to see from a different angle.*

*Benjamin hold his mouth open and holds it still as he possibly can for the doctor. When the good doctor looks inside Benjamin’s mouth he can see the clear point of the irritation and pain in Ben’s mouth. A piece of bone was stabbing in between the tooth and the gums. Creating a great deal of discomfort and pain*

Ah, I see what's the problem.

Fortunately, your tooth is not cracked. There's a piece of bone stuck in between your gum and tooth.

I'm going to need you to take a deep breath. I will quickly and carefully pull it out and then disinfect it. It won't hurt for long, just a sting, okay?

*Benjamin makes a slight nod with his head understanding the situation. He then takes a deep breath, following the doctors advice and waits for the quick sting*

*The doctor quickly changes tools, from the mirror handle to tweezers, all clean and ready to go. He carefully approaches the piece of bone with the tweezers, and once he has a hold on them, he quickly but carefully and smoothly pulls and takes the piece out.

Right after taking it out, Dr. Iplier quickly cleans the tweezers before using them to hold a piece of cotton with disinfectant on it.

He carefully cleans the small wound where the piece pierced through.*

*Benjamin slightly winces from the pain but keeps still and keeps his mouth open and patiently waits for the doctor to finish*

*Once the doctor is done, Ben should start to feel less in pain and irritated. The disinfectant also works as a small anesthetic and to sooth the wound.*

Alright, now that should do it.

*Benjamin immediately feels relief in his mouth. He closes his mouth and smiles*
