I am extremely disappointed in myself. I decided there’s no way I’ll be able to keep up with Gortash week doing writing. I freaked out like usual and put it off until the last day instead of preparing a head of time. So I’ll be doing some artwork. But I’m still writing for every one of these prompts. I told myself I wanted to learn to write and I will. They’ll just be uploaded by the end of August instead.

I think Gortash's problems with other people started, well, pretty much at birth. x) As his mother put it, he was too clever for his own good.

Though I think it's more accurate to say that the real barrier was the difference in the way he thought. While everyone else judged things by what was right in front of them, Gortash saw what they could become

That doesn't mean everyone else was stupid. The kids in the comic are objectively right - in front of them is nothing but a pile of scrap. They simply can't see something that doesn't exist yet

I think it's little moments like these that slowly shaped Gortash's disdain for other people. When you're constantly surrounded by people who can't see beyond what's right in front of them, it's very easy to start looking down on them

They are esteemed aquantices of mine. Impressive individuals that have been useful to our cause. One in particular I have to thank for assisting in bringing about Baldur’s Gate’s glorious new era.

Rumours are that the candid paintings of your Lordship on the city boards are not prohibited by you, but helped! They say your lordship sit in for still life paintings of students! Is that a cover-up for the vandals? Should they be permitted to post such scandalous things of your Lordship??

The rumours are unfounded. My schedule does not leave room for such frivolities. The vandals behind these rumours are being dealt with as we speak.

The paintings themselves are a complicated matter. I will not deny my people expressing their adoration for their lord. It would be foolish to not welcome your praise.

Hiii Gortash 👋 If you had to pick an animal to be what would you want be and why?

A meaningless question, but if I must entertain you to be left in peace, so be it.

There is no doubt in my mind I am reflected in the grace and intelligence of a raven. They are independent and still well mannered. Alongside being capable of solving simple human puzzles and recognizing patterns, they understand the importance of grooming and image. The dark sheen of their feathers is as practical as it is beautiful. Easier for them to hide in the shadows before taking their prey.

Clever and tricky little creatures, they understand trust, and how to use it. They remember faces, and transgressions associated with it.

Above all, one such noble bird was considered a worthwhile companion by Lord Bane. Acting as His left hand while His chosen acted as His right.

I do hope that satisfies your curiosity and that you’ll leave. Or I’ll have to use a more hands on approach to escort you out.
