In theory if you were aware of such entity as Dragonlord Ojutai what would be your verdict on his and his clan's policies and activity?

I will say this: Ojutai’s policies work well on his plane, and the Azorius’s policies work well on ours. On Ravnica, we have an entire world of varied cultures and races to work with, while the dragon only has to deal with a small population of like-minded people. If his policies successfully enforce peace and order, then I have little to object to.

Were you expecting me to comment on the repressive aspects of his rule?

Lady Isperia, I know this is a few years late, but it was only now that I could get a moment to speak to you. I was wondering if... if we could possible erect a small memorial in Lurias for the victims of the drake incident. The murderer who summoned it was never found, as we know, but something physical might do the still-grieving families some good. My brother, an Azorian guardsman was one of those killed at the time...

My apologies for answering this letter months late; my duties keep me busy, and it takes a long time for letters to go through processing.

I’ll put in a word with the Department of Parks and Monuments, but you should have went to them first for such a request. They’re relatively efficient, as far as government departments go, and sending a letter directly to a guild leader should not be a first resort.

In theory: if otherworldly economical profit pursuing organization would attempt to engage in trade with Ravnican population, would there be any laws (beside laws of physics of course) that could be interfere with this?

Hm… if there were such an extraplanar organization, they would be potentially affected by certain laws more than other trade organizations, such as the Dangerous Substances and Objects Act and our various tax and revenue laws.

Strictly speaking, however, they would be as equal in the eyes of the law to any other trade organization.

Murder has been illegal since the creation of Ravnica’s legal code 10000 years ago. It has never been legal.

Ok so laws should help the people but have you seen how cool the building permit laws are they're just dripping with niches and sub-sub-sub-laws

I have seen those laws. It was painful to read, and this is coming from an expert in legal language.

I especially disliked the section reference loop, where someone embedded about 20 several “see section ___ for details,” all referring to each other. I can only feel dirty sharing a guild with such a person.

Is Polygamy legal? And what do you think of polygamous ships?

Polygamy is legal—the Azorius have a policy of not interfering with interpersonal relationships through legal means.

However, it also leads to a large amount of confusion and paperwork.

I have no personal beliefs against polyamorous relationships. This is not just a function of me refusing to give my opinion due to being in a visible position of authority; for most things, I truly do not care what you do as long as you do not bring harm to another citizen of Ravnica, either directly or indirectly. (I was about to say “break the law,” but too many laws are flawed...)

I honestly don’t think Ravnicans even have a concept of caring whether two consenting dudes or ladies got married. I would be surprised if even incredibly thorough Azorius recordkeepers bothered to record that, so who knows what the breakdown is.

Exactly. After all, rps are for fun! Who cares if now and then cannon or lore is a bit off? Is it hurting anyone? We are here to enjoy rps, and the company of friends, not to complain about every little detail.

I realise some stuff is going to get lost- but to contradict it seems a bit too much to me.

I will say again, the amount of breaking rather than bending has caused other people to leave the community, and for one, I think that’s terrible. 

If you want to use rules that are close, but that you can bend to your own whims, by all means create your own community! Advertise it on ours!

Please don’t break our community’s accepted canon. We don’t have formal mods to kick people, all we have is ourselves and trying to let people know when they’ve gone too far… And when we do that, we’re called out as hateful? What else are we supposed to do, when this canon breaking has become like a cancer that is spreading throughout and killing the MTG rp community! 

All I’m asking, is if you’re going to break canon, do it somewhere else, because you’re no longer rp’ing MTG at that point.

The reason people participate in RPing is to have fun. If everyone's having fun, then things are fine, right? I disagree. The entire basis of RPing is enjoying a universe as fans of a fictional work, and to do that, the RPs must have some semblance of being part of the universe. If a new person were to pop up, he or she would see all these unfamiliar characters doing unfamiliar things, and would think "who the heck are these people?" Of course, you can go in the other direction too far and start nitpicking on unimportant things, but the point still stands.))

Unfortunately, the number of pyrotechnics use cases today on Ravnica were more than twice of last year’s. Every year, people need reminding that pyrotechnic activity of any sort is strictly prohibited, even on holidays.
