The thought of her
Wearing only the desire in her eyes
Makes my mouth water
And my heart tremble
“…Really? You’d devour me? I’d like to see you try.”
thanks @mrs-sayeed for her commission
And what are your thoughts on the fact that Vega and Priya dated in the 1920s? Were they an affectionate couple? 🌚
So curious about Vega, I see. Why don’t you just go ask Priya herself? *Dismissive wave*
But if you really wish to know, I could go ahead and tell you that they were a more of a spectacle than anything else. Meaning, they put on a great show but the rest of us knew very well what games they played.
Priya is young and naive so maybe she actually thought her love for Vega was a reality. But I think rather she liked the power that Vega held.
Whatever the case, I had more things to concern myself over than the love lives of others. Romance in this world is a waste of time if you ask me. ...that is, so I thought.
....Now, I’m not so sure.
To be honest, I have to commend Priya for her boldness or maybe its stupidity rather, for putting herself out there and having so many romantic entanglements. Maybe, I even envy her, to be so young and unconcerned of heartbreak. She hasn’t seen as many deaths as I have, she hasn’t hardened with years of war, famine and outbreak. She has time yet to see that love is a waste of a perfectly good heart.
Are you gonna make a part 2 of "A Party Never Hurt Nobody"?
OOC: I plan on it :) Sorry, it’s taken so long, work as been hectic!
I deeply desire a Victorian glass greenhouse with all kinds of flowers and herbs, air ferns hanging from all places, and a trickling water fountain to create an atmosphere of serenity.
Thoughts on Vega? 👀
Oh, yes, I have many many thoughts on Mr. Vega. Most of them regarding homicide and medieval torture. I don’t take kindly to anyone, mortal or otherwise, who dare lie about honor. I never trusted the man, he was weak minded and couldn’t think past his own greedy ambition. I usually admire a good adversary but not one such as Adam Vega.
...And in the following days of his demise, I must confess, I couldn’t help but see how similar he was to another that I had trusted and followed blindly...a man who wanted to rule.
“A Party Never Hurt Nobody”
[Bloodbound fanfic]
[Kamilah Sayeed x MC Fanfic]
Part 01
“I can’t say I’ve ever seen you in place like this before.” Adrian’s voice made its way to me as I continued to watch as my habibti made her way through the crowd towards the bar, her friend still leading her with a hand on her wrist.
I let out a small scoff. “If I hadn’t know better I could have taken that as a terrible attempt of some sort of pick-up line.”
“Good thing you know better, then.” Adrian shifted besides me before following my gaze. “That we both know better.”
I hummed thoughtfully to keep him from noticing how I stiffened at his tone. Adrian was the closest thing to family that I was willing to have and yet....
And yet, I seemed very besides myself these days. An unfamiliar passion have come over me, one that I’ve never experienced before.
My sharp ears picked up the laughter of a certain mortal that had garnered all my attention and I couldn’t help but lean forward a bit, my thoughts scattering like a flock of birds.
“You are here for her, then?” Adrian asked but it sounded like an accusation in my ears, making me shift again to keep my composure.
“And you are not?” I shot back glancing at him but letting our eyes meet for a strained moment.
“I-uh, have business...with Priya.” Adrian said clasping his hands behind his back. “She’s been ignoring my summons and I knew she couldn’t help but attend the grand opening of one of the biggest clubs in New York.”
I pressed my lips into a thin line as I processed the truth in his words. “Mmm, then maybe it truly is beneficial that I came.”
Adrian paused before looking over at me. “Wait, you mean to tell me that you didn’t come because you knew Priya was coming? Isn’t that why you accompanied her?”
“One can assume.” I said before leveling my gaze towards him. I felt a bead of irritation as he lifted his brow in question. “What are you getting at, Adrian?”
“I just—it doesn’t seem like you to come to an event like this to enjoy yourself...even with....” he trailed off as he nodded to the human that has seen to claim everyone’s attention, he then let out a small laugh. “Though, I must say she is very convincing.”
“I didn’t—!” I snapped, eyes tightening before I paused and let out a breath to keep my cool demeanor. “...that isn’t why I’m here. If I really wanted to enjoy my evening, I would rather have her somewhere more private.”
Adrian said nothing but I could almost feel the tension as it rolled off his back. Maybe I should have kept the thought to myself. It’s worst enough that we were enamored with the same human, more so given our close bond to each other as well. I suppose that was a low blow.
I was on the brink of apologizing when he spoke up. It was quiet but my acute hearing picked it up perfectly clear.
“You sound like Priya, now.” Andrian has shot back under his breath.
I turned to him fully then, my back to the girl and her friend who were oblivious to the confrontation happening behind them. My lips were drawn up to reveal my fangs as I let out a snarl. “How dare you?”
Adrian met my eyes for only a moment before her averted his gaze. “Kamilah....”
“Be quiet.” I snapped. “Don’t forget who you’re speaking to, Adrian. I’m in no mood for this.”
With that said I turned away and made my way to the bar, people parting as I walked. Maybe it was the hunger setting in, maybe it was the tension between the council that only seemed to be rising more and more, maybe it was the fact that I still didn’t know what to make of this new found desire to be near a human or maybe it was the fact that a random mortal was flirting with my habibti that suddenly made me appear by her side despite my desire to keep a low appearance in a place like this.
“Come on, one drink. I know just the one you would like. I promise it will make the night even better.” It was a man who looked as if he just crawled out of a Calvin Klein catalog and owned a sports car that he reeved in a parking garage just because that’s the only possible way people will actually pay attention to him. “You’re too sexy to be all by yourself.”
“I told you, I’m with some friends.” She sounded as irritated as I was.
“Bring them along, they can join, the more the merrier.” He said with a laugh as he grabbed her arm, that’s when he jumped slightly as I appeared besides her. “Woah, hottie alert. Didn’t see you there. Wanna join in on the best night...of your...life...?”
I wasn’t surprised when he began to trail off, I felt the sting as I stared at him with all the intensity of the rage I held inside, my eyes bled into a crimson color as I grabbed his wrist. He let out a sharp cry in pain as he tried to wretch his feeble hand free.
“Yo, that hurts.” He said looking at me with wide eyes. “What’s wrong with you?”
“Hands. Off.” I said, my eyes still boring into his as I spoke.
“Hey, what’s your problem? I wasn’t doing nothing.” He said.
“Kamilah.” A soft voice broke my concentration but I remained steady, debating on if I could get away with breaking his arm. But as I felt a hand gently grab my other hand and I wavered for only a moment longer before releasing him.
“You’re fuckin crazy!” The man shouted before making a hasty retreat and finding a refuge among the other party goers.
I watched him go, letting out a sigh before turning around. “Are you alright, habibti?”
She held on to my hand with both of hers, looking down at it as she stroked my knuckles with her thumb lightly. “You didn’t have to do that.”
I didn’t respond, not knowing if she wanted me to apologize and not exactly feeling inclined to. But when she looked up at me, she stole my breath away and I didn’t even have the ability to speak then. The way she looked at me, her eyes soft and so genuine, it made me feel a stab of pain in my chest, making me almost wince. Instead, I looked away. “Where is your friend?”
Now it was her turn to sigh. “She‘s outside trying to convince Jax in actually coming in.”
“The clanless is here?” Wonderful, more people to waste my time with.
“Jax is here.” She said firmly before continuing. “I invited him. I wanted him to come out and enjoy the other things the city has to offer. You know, drag him out of the shadows a bit.”
“Are you certain that’s a good idea?” I countered but she didn’t respond instead looking through the crowd and then taking a step forward.
“Is that...Adrian? Adrian is here?” She started forward but I caught her hand before she could go to him. She looked at me with wide eyes, reflecting both confusion and doubt. So innocent, so mortal. “Kamilah...what are you doing?”

Hi Queen! So can you give me any tips on how to defeat a mummy? is it true that they walk if you disturb them from their beauty sleep? :0
Should I be concerned that you are facing off against a mummy? ...no, perhaps it’s better not to ask.
Well, mummies, in my time were cherished in a sense of divinity. To even consider about breaking into a temple was...unthinkable. Of course the temptation of gold, jewels and other unimaginable treasures was quite tempting for most greedy mortals.
I am no expert on mummy hunting, myself. But I a may know someone who is. Perhaps, I can put in a word for you? Check in with me on a later date and I can see what I kind find.
Though I apologize in advance, I have been rather busy these days. Thanks for the message, @helentwombly ~

they had fun, ok?
“When I heard that you hadn’t ever gone on a train across the land, I must admit I was a bit surprised. You seemed so interested in travel and yet haven’t taken it with all its forms. I remember when trains first became a popular means of transportation. I found it thrilling to take the railways across the country. It was a nice spot for mere observation. And since it had been quite sometime since I’ve been on one, I took it upon me to schedule an outing for the two of us. We took the train to the upstate and had dinner on the countryside while the sun rose, it’s radiance caressing your features in the finest of ways. You seemed content with every moment and it stirred me like I hadn’t felt in so many years. You are so exquisite even in the simplest of moments, I wish I was able to convey that to you. Maybe someday I will garner the ability to tell you in all the ways that I find you absolutely extraordinary. Until then, I wish only to give you any experience you wish to have in your human life. And I thank you profusely for the experiences you have gifted me. On our way back, you had fallen asleep and rested your head against my shoulder. It’s moments like those that I truly find myself at a loss of words.” — Kamilah Sayeed
