❛❛ I’m not letting you barricade yourself in your room again for Christmas. ❜❜
Lachlan sighed. “I’m tired. And we don’t even have a fucking Christmas tree up, what’s the point on having a Christmas dinner? It’s just… dinner.”

Joseph wasn’t sure how he felt about everything Lachlan had just told him. Something about the man’s therapist bothered him. It was strange how he was texting them and calling them by their first name. “Maybe it’s what’s needed.” MacAvoy answered the singer.
“Being together right now isn’t helping us.” It wasn’t helping Joseph when Lachlan couldn’t handle the distance between them. “If it’s what you think will work. Then do whatever your doctor tells you.”
A piece of him was hoping MacAvoy wouldn’t like the idea of being apart and that part hurt when he heard what the other man said. “Right... I’ll speak with her then...” She would help him get through everything, he was sure of it.
“I’ll be gone by the end of the holidays... The sooner the better, huh?” Lachlan said, forcing a smile before taking a seat on one of the chairs and starting to eat. “Night night, Joseph.”
