What is your favorite bird?

"Hi my dear.

So, it all depends what kind of birds we are talking about. If you want to know my favourite Fantastical bird. It will have to be the Occamy.

These animals are fascinating, not only for their beautiful colours and appearance, but also for their abilities. And have you ever seen their eggs ? They shine like moonlight. Oh what I wouldn't do to witness one hatching..

I don't have a drawing of mine on hand. Next time I'll make sure to sketch something real quick to show you.

Now, if we are talking about "ordinary" animals like some like to call them. The two birds I affectionate the most are the Shoebill and the Kakapo. Though I agree they are two complete opposites.

The Shoebill is a towering bird, the size of a young man. Extremely intelligent and territorial, it resembles in some ways, the Hippogriff. They bow to show appreciation and respect, and vocalise extremely loudly with their beak and have very long wings, almost twice the size of their body.

The Kakapo is quite different. Weighing around 4kg (the weight of a house cat), he is the largest species of parrots. But, he is usually the large and heavy, that he can't fly because his wings are too small. So, instead, he became a forager and a climber. Making him really clumsy.

There are lots of fascinating birds, like the Kiwi, the Loon or even the Cassowary. But I will keep that for another time.

An Easily Intimidated Classmate

As he sat down at his station in the Potion Classroom one morning, the young Ravenclaw couldn't help but frown at the view of the little neatly folded paper resting on the wood.

He carefully opened it, expecting a prank of some sort from a fellow Ravenclaw. Only to be met by a rather sweet note. How cute. How foolish.

"Of course my jumper looks nice. Especially on me. It is pure Cashmere. And the color was chosen especially to compliment my eyes."

The person who wrote this was rather cowardly to not come to him directly. He couldn't help but think. But still folded back the piece of parchment and discreetly put it in his pocket, a slight blush tinting the top of his ears.

Hello Oliver! I have a couple of questions for you

What are some of your favorite ways to spend your days off? Who do you like spending them with?

How long did it take you to realize you’re in love? Did you try to fight it at first or did you embrace it?

"Well, hello Dear.

Thank you for your questions. Though I am still not used to talking much about myself, I will gladly answer your interrogations.

Since I've been at Hogwarts, my favourite past time is observing wild beasts with Poppy or exploring the area with Sebastian. Even though it has already been two years since I arrived here, I am still in awe in front of all these wonderful creatures and sights. I don't think I will ever get enough. When I am not crawling in the mud or climbing atop rocks, I like journaling in the library with Ominis. He is an incredibly good company for this, especially when Sebastian is not around. (With this letter is attached a picture of my first meeting with a Golden Unicorn, taken by Poppy !)

About love it's ... A little complicated. Before meeting with a certain someone I never really knew what romantic affection was like. So, I did not really understand what it was when it started happening to me. The butterflies, the impatience, the jealousy. All these were completely new to me. But, after everything that happened in my first year, we somehow drifted apart. And when the feelings of loss, loneliness, despair and sadness became too strong that's when I understood that my attachment for him was stronger than it had been for anyone before. So I took the first step for us to get back the relationship we had before. And it worked ! But for a while. Because I quickly started to be frustrated by what we had and what I wanted.. Until I almost made a mistake. So I ran away. But he caught me back and made the first move.

Anyway... Sorry I rambled a lot, you must have been bored out of your mind. But I still hope these answers satisfy you. Thank you again for your letter. Let's talk again.
