When someone says cinnamon, a lot of people first think of pastries - but don't let that fool you into thinking that's all cinnamon can be limited to!

Here are some ideas for starters,

Babi Pongteh is a peranakan dish of braised pork and potatoes in a thick brown sauce made with bean paste and tamarind pulp amongst other things. Many people have their own take on this particular dish, and I find a great addition to the seasoning is cinnamon! Cinnamon and star aniseed give the pork a really warm, aromatic flavour.

Next we have Mama Shao's Cinnamon Chai Latte - featuring ginger and cinnamon to spice it up. It's a great drink for the winter and fall; the cinnamon is calming and the ginger warms up your whole body. 

Cinnamon is great on buns, but don't be afraid to experiment with adding it to some of your other cooking. After all, cinnamon can help alleviate headaches and lower cholesterol.
