Baltic Trio Week Aug17-Aug25

Official Announcement for The Baltic Theme Week

Hey, you, yes, you, do you like the Hetalia Baltic Trio? Maybe just one of them? All of them? Then we’re gonna enjoy 7 days of creating beautiful artwork for these guys and looking at some significant cultural things to use as prompts!

The week is simple, every day I will announce a handful of prompts (writing and art) and your job is to fill these boy’s tags with lovely artwork, stories, or anything else really.

The week will run from August 17th to August 25th

Why did I choose these days? August 23rd, 2019, will be the 30th Anniversary of the Baltic Way.

The Baltic Way was a major peaceful protest against the Soviet Union consisting of a human chain that went from Tallinn through Riga and then to Vilnius and spanned over 600km.

You’ll be able to submit prompts into the #BalticTrio2019 tag so everyone can see it! Submissions should lean away from shipping and show more about these characters explaining who they are and what their country is like. I want people to learn and research a little bit about them and what these places are like. The beautiful nature and unique cultures and history of all three is something I don’t see a focus on as much. As closely tied as they are, they are all so different.

Pieces can contain one, two, or all three of them! Just please don’t do any shipping types of content, the focus of this is not shipping. The focus of this is their countries and cultures.

Keep submissions respectful and SFW and that’s really all that’s asked. Try to do some research and remember that these three all fought hard for independence. Nyo!Baltics is totally cool too!
