KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS!!!
*Octavius and Jedediah pause in front of the computer. They exchange looks, guiltily knowing that there is one last question in their inbox they have been neglecting to answer. After a moment of deliberation, they look at the question*
Jedediah: So thatâs their proposition, eh?
Octavius: Seems more like a demand to me!
Jedediah: *chuckling* Naw, theyâre jusâ eager.
Octavius: Eager to see us kiss?
Jedediah: *grins* Seems so, Kemosabe.
*Octavius lets out a sigh, contemplating whether they should comply with the question or not*
Jedediah: Itâs our last question, partner, we should probably do as they ask.
Octavius: Dear VenusâŠyes, I suppose. *He smiles* They could ask worse of us.
Jedediah: Yeah! *He gestures towards himself, and unbuttons the top button of his shirt* They couldâve asked us toâ
Octavius: Jed. Why must your mind always go there?
Jedediah: *laughs, and takes Octaviusâ hand* Iâm jusâ makinâ a point.
Octavius: *smiles* I understand. Well, shall we?
Jedediah: âCourse!
*The two miniatures smile at each other, and Octavius takes Jedediahâs other gloved hand in his own. He tips Jedediahâs hat over his face playfully, but readjusts it before Jed complains. Octavius and Jedediah kiss*
We all know Ahk and Larry would be great together but I think they need a little push in the right direction; What do u say guys. Up for the challenge?
*Jedediah and Octavius, while loitering around the museum looking for something to do, decide to return to the computer and answer one of the remaining questions in their ask box. Jedediah reads it aloud*
Octavius: Is that not something they should do on their own, though
Jedediah: Yâknow, I kinda have to agree with you on this one, partner.
Octavius: We did require some, ah, persuasionâŠto take initiative, but we had our reasons. Et omne deliberatus fuit.
Jedediah: Right! *puts on his thinking face* Whatâs that phrase Gigantor saysâŠ.oh yeah! Do what I say, but not as I do!
Octavius: *laughs* Yes, that is the one.Â
*The two miniatures go silent for a moment*
Octavius: But perhapsâŠfor the sake of the questionâŠ
Jedediah: Yâthink so?
Octavius: Maybe we shall usher them into the same room for a few hours. That is something that we could do.
Jedediah: *grins* Anâ lock the door? Dexterâll be willinâ to help!
Octavius: *smiles* Alright. Then we will do that as a compromise.
Translation:
Et omne deliberatus fuit. (And everything has worked out)
Obviously, before you two started getting along, I'm sure you had your own favorite people within your own dioramas. Are you still as close to those people as you used to be? I mean, of course you don't spend ALL your time together, but who else of your own size are you close with?
*Octavius lays a fluffy blanket over the sleepy Jedediah. Returning from an intense exercise session with both of their men, Jed and Oct decided that they would relax and come back to answer a question. Jedediah yawns, and Octavius reads the question off of the screen*
Jedediah: *sleepily* Sure we are! Yâcouldnât make me any closer to my men if yâhog tied us together!
Octavius: We do spend plenty of time together, yes, and at the same time we understand that each of us should have time for our own friends.
*Jedediah smiles, and tosses part of the blanket over Octavius*
Jedediah: So thatâs what we do! For me, I ainât really know if I want to pick favorites, but I reckon Iâm still pretty close with the company that I did a lot oâ my travellinâ with.
Octavius: *nods* My answer is similar. I had, and still have, a few close friends who loyally follow me. I believe you have met Marcus, correct?
Jedediah: Uh⊠*laughs jokingly* Which one?
*Octavius smiles and begins to answer, but Jedediah waves him off*
Jedediah: I know who youâre talkinâ about kemosabe, no worries.
So, how are gigantor and ahk holding up? Also If a spirit animal was given to you and the species depended on your traits, What do you think u would get?
*Jedediah wraps a blanket around Octavius, and then wraps an arm around him. They look at the computer screen and pick out a question to answer*
Jedediah: I reckon theyâre both well!
Octavius: Yes, they both seem to be doing well. The weather is getting colder outside, so Larry has been arriving with heavier and heavier clothing each night.
Jedediah: *smiles* Sometimes he brings us blankets.
*Octavius smiles back at Jedediah, who pulls the blanket closer to them*
Octavius: But as for spirit animalsâŠI am not sure what I would get. If the person who gives them to us knows us in only a certain way, they may be biased and pick something that does not completely fit us.
Jedediah: Yeah. Honestly, I reckon thatâs right, kemosabe.
Octavius: *smiles* Thanks, Jed.
Jedediah: Probably also depends on who chooses the animal for us! Two people could hand us totally different choices.
Octavius: Yes, that is also quite true.
Jedediah: *grins* Thanks, Oct.
Octavius: Thank you for the question, though.
Do you know if there are any other relationships forming around the museum?
*Octavius shows the question to Jedediah, who is currently attempting to eat a whole apple by himself (he hasnât gotten very far)*
Jedediah: Y'mean likeâŠrelationship relationships or jusâ relationships? Cuz we all have relationships with each other!
Octavius: I am quite sure they mean your first option. They assuredly know that we all know each other already.
Jedediah: Well thereâs Teddy anâ Wea, course.
Octavius: Yes, but that is a known relationship. *playfully* I think they are trying to get us to divulge the secrets of the museum.
Jedediah: *grins* We could, but whatâs the fun in that?
Octavius: *shrugs* I suppose they then will better understand the inner workings of the museum.
Jedediah: I know, I know, kemosabe, Iâm jusâ playinâ.
Octavius: Well, Larry and Ahkmenrah are around each other very often, so perhaps there is something there Or perhaps it is merely because Ahkmenrah is the one with the tablet, and Larry is the night guard.
Jedediah: Anâ I think one of your soldiers has been goinâ off to meet someone a few times a weekâŠ
Octavius: What?!
Jedediah: *grins* Oh, yâknowâŠ
Octavius: Who do you speak of? Jed, you must tell me!
Do exhibits exactly age? Can they bear children?
*Octavius reads the question aloud to Jedediah*
Jedediah: Well, given that we are exhibitsâŠ
Octavius: We canât exactly age, no.
Jedediah: At least not physically, y'know.
Octavius: Mentally, of course, we can age, as long as the tablet is there to keep us coming alive each night to have the chance to age.
Jedediah: As for children, uh, I ainât know. *embarrassed* Iâm assuminâ no, though. I dunno how thatâd work.
Octavius: *nods* Yes, that would make for quite an uncomfortable pregnancy.
Jedediah: Anâ we canât really grow, soâŠ
Octavius: Right. Nobody has mentioned anything about it previously, so I do not think exhibits are able to bear children, either.
Prompt: Jedediah and Octavius watch a video of the super bowl that Larry beings for the exhibits to watch.
(Once again, this is so, so late of an answer for when this was sent in, but I promise I kept it so long because I did mean to answer it!)
Octavius stares down into a sea of popcorn. It intimidates him. But Jedediah is by his side, and when next to him, Octavius can conquer anything. The two miniature exchange a knowing look. They both climb down off of the lip of the popcorn bowl, and grab onto ropes that they had fastened around the bowl. Larry had tasked them with bringing the popcorn as a snack for a video they were going to watch, and gosh darn it, they were going to get it there.
Octavius tightens his grip on his half of the rope. He looks over at Jedediah. âReady?â
Jedediah grins, and flicks his cowboy hat out of his eyes before returning the hand to the rope he was holding onto. âReady!â
âOne, twoââ
âPULL, KEMOSABE!â
Dear Jed and Oct, looking back on when you very first met and comparing it to how far it's progressed now, would you think of it as a different "period" of your lives at the museum, or a different stage of your relationship? P.S. Happy late Easter btw :)
(A very late Easter, but thatâs my fault)
*Jedediah reads the question aloud to Octavius, who is sitting on their couch next to him, weaving braids into Jedediahâs hair*
Octavius: Without a doubt, we can split the museum into the period before Larry became the night guard, and the period after.
Jedediah: Anâ so yâcan consider when we first met part oâ that first period. But as for how far itâs progressedâŠ
Octavius: I would say that it is more of a different stage of our relationship. It relates to the chemistry of our relationship, rather than simply our lives.
Jedediah: Yeah, that makes sense, kemosabe. Since itâs concerninâ us and how we get along, I reckon itâd be considered personal, so it beinâ a different stage of our relationship makes the most sense.
Octavius: *smiles* It has progressed quite a bit, hasnât it?
*Jedediah turns to the side to face Octavius and quickly pecks Octaviusâs nose before turning back and letting Oct resume braiding his hair. Octaviusâs cheeks flush pink*
Jedediah: I reckon it has!
You know what would be interesting to read? Kahmunrah's Diary, assuming if you can find it and read it without him finding out.
*Octavius, fiddling with the edge of his cape, reads the question aloud to Jedediah, who laughs at the question*
Jedediah: Wouldnât that be somethinâ!
Octavius: Even though I truly detest him, it would be an invasion of his privacyâŠ
Jedediah: Well, he invaded our privacy when he came anâ tried to take over the world!
Octavius: Yes, I know. *nods* And I suppose we then would be able to know what he is planning.
Jedediah: Right, âxactly!
Octavius: Alas, I do not know where we would be able to find it.
Jedediah: *grins* We could try askinâ Ahk.
Octavius: It is possible for him to know, yes. Perhaps he may even want to join us in finding it.
Jedediah: There yâgo, kemosabe!
Which is your favorite animal odd couple?
*Jedediah reads the question aloud to Octavius, as well as Ahkmenrah who had been wandering around the museum, searching for something to do on this boring night*
Octavius: Must it be a couple or could the animals simply be friends?
Jedediah: Iâm sure y'can interpret it as them jusâ beinâ friends!
Octavius: I have always found it interesting when birds and cats get along.
Ahkmenrah: That is certainly cute, I agree. How about pigs and tigers? I remember Larry watching a channel he called âNational Geographicâ once, and it had animals such as those on it.
Jedediah: I think all animals that are unlikely friends are automatically cute since they ainât supposed to be friends!
Octavius: *nods* That is a good explanation.
Ahkmenrah: Do you think everyone would consider the harmony among the animals of our museum an odd couple?
Jedediah: Wouldnât doubt it!
I found what your spirit animals mean Bear: Strenghth, Confedence, Taking Action and Leadership Wolf: Sharp Intelegence, Conection with instincts and Freedom. Your welcome.
*Jedediah reads the question off of the monitor to Octavius, who is polishing his helmet*
Octavius: Quite fitting!
Jedediah: More than I thought, yeah! Thatâs pretty cool!
Octavius: Yes, yours does truly embody you.
Jedediah: So does yours! Sharp intelligence? *grins* Thatâs you!
Octavius: *smiles* How kind, Jed. This is actually very interesting. Would it not be fun to ask around the museum what everyone thinks their spirit animal is?
Jedediah: S'long as we could figure out what they represent!
Octavius: I think it would be quite fascinating to see what everyone would say.
Jedediah: Agreed! We should do it, then!
Have you ever heard of the Sedlec Ossuary?
*Jedediah yawns, and Octavius gently pets his head. Jedediah nudges himself closer to Octavius, as they remain seated next to each other on their couch. Octavius reads a question off of the computer screen to Jedediah*
Jedediah: Hmm, I ainât think so.
Octavius: It does not sound familiar. Where it is located?
Jedediah: Weâll find out!
*Jedediah leaves the couch for a moment to look up the Sedlac Ossuary. The miniatures look through a few pictures*
Jedediah: Dang, I reckon thatâd be pretty cool if youâre into stuff like that.
Octavius: Even so, it is impressive.
Jedediah: *cheekily* We got our own bone museum here with Rexy, though, so we ainât need to visit!
If you had to get a job in the outside-the-museum world, what would you work as?
*Jedediah reads the question aloud to Octavius*
Octavius: I am assuming that it also must be a modern job
Jedediah: I reckon so, partner. *grins* Y'canât be an emperor these days.
Octavius: Yes, I know. It truly depends on the opportunities that we are offered, however.
Jedediah: I could probably still be an âxplorer if I wanted! Or a cowboy!
Octavius: You could, yes. But IâŠI do not know what I would do.
Jedediah: *gently* Aw boy, Iâm sure youâd find somethinâ.
Octavius: Perhaps, yes, it is possible for me to find something that matches my interests.
Jedediah: Y'could be anâŠmaybe aâŠfood taste tester! Or y'could jusâ be a historian.
Octavius: *laughs* Yes, well, it is as you said. I shall probably find something out there that I could do.
What would either of you do if the other was crying from a bad dream?
*Octavius reads the question aloud to Jedediah*
Jedediah: Comfort âem, course!
Octavius: Why would we wish to do anything else for each other?
Jedediah: Well, y'know what they mean, boy.
Octavius: Yes, yes, I know. Depending on where we are, perhaps I would stay with him for the night.
Jedediah: Meaninâ if we were jusâ hanginâ out or in our dioramas with others?
Octavius: Yes, meaning that. And that is if we were not already together when he went to sleep and the bad dreams began.
Jedediah: See? *wraps an arm affectionately around Octaviusâs shoulders* We take care oâ each other!
Octavius: *smiles* Of course.
(As with many blogs, there comes a day where the blog stagnates and the times comes to move on from it. Unfortunately, I think that day may be coming soon for this blog.
I plan to answer the rest of the questions that are currently in my inbox, and I will keep the blog open for anyone who wants to go back, look through and read what has been answered and written, but itâs almost time for Jed and Octavius to sign off from answering questions on this blog.
Iâve run this blog for over a year now, and Iâve had a great time answering questions and interacting with everyone who has followed, asked a question, or simply visited the blog. But after spending almost two weeks in Europe on a life-changing trip, and now getting ready to graduate and attend college, I think itâs time for me to move on and spend my time elsewhere. I hope you all enjoyed your time here as much as I did.
