Hello there! This is an ask blog for the claire oopsie moment au (often shortened to just oopsie au) created and run by @forecast-rain.
What is the oopsie au? it's a roleswap/canon divergence au where Claire gets cursed instead of Noel and exploring what that would mean for the world of wh! I've been toying around with the idea for a while now and though I still have many things to figure out (like basically everything) I want to give running an ask blog a try!

I was just laying in bed, trying to sleep, when I realized: I could make Noel & Ashe friends in oopsie au.
(this got. auite long. also this turned more into a genral ramble about the au and the period of time dorotht sirius and noel are like, travelling merchants or something. though come to think of it, they're like. 10 at first. they can't exactly... help yet. hm.)
(anyways, aside over, back to ashe & noel)
cause I've been thinking. and the witch's heart rumor would definitely follow dorothy sirius and noel like no matter what they do. esp if something got revealed publically during the Big Confrontation with Nicholas shere Dorothy uses Fiona's heart to make a wish to save noel & sirius somehow.
so therefore, ashe would come looking for them eventually. maybe it was by true coincidence, maybe it was on purpose, but he ran into them somehow and decided to tag along, while ofc investigating them. or smth. and ofc, they somehow bond. and I would need to think this over more carefully but GAH.
also...... ahse & dorothy interactions????? possibly????? hmmmm .. I wonder how extreme the propaganda about dorothy gor in this au cause the massacre never happened... or. actually. wait. nicholas started killing people even before he found out dorothy wasn't in there. would. would the massacre still "happen" except that both nicholas and dorotby make it out slive. oooo that is Inch Resting... would also give a reason for people to keep visiting the mansion... and give claire more to do...
anyways. ashe. would he be scared of dorothy I wonder? what would he think when seeing her? would he be too intimidated to approach...? is that one of the main driving factors behind Dorothy's protection...? or... what if the story of the witch's heart treasure morphed into smth smth it's guarded/to get it you have to defeat the big bad witch and her two apprentices? hmmm...... but also, how do I make their infamy not collide with the fact they're travelling merchants basically... they become madters of disguise?? smth smth dosguise spells??? ...can humans use magic??? I assume it's basis is in writing - the most we saw was magix against demons in-game other than stuff generally related to demons... what was dorothys eork again? generally being a witch? did smth about the area allow her to utilize magic? did people come to her for advice about curses? how would this translate if she were a travelling merchant basically?
...could she tell if someone is cursed? ehat would that mean for when they meet silardo then? .......wilardo gains companioship earlier? but... claire is missing... she's not there...
noel sometimes telling ashe that he reminds him of her... I'd give more examples here but I can't think of any so just sirius noel and dorothy fondly recalling her... even if it was for just sround s month thay she was around...
I think that sirius got mad at noel after claire disappeared... for a couple reasons maybe even. for one, lady dorothy cares about claire greatly. and two, perhaps he cared about her a little himself. so, for a while, things mightve been tense between the two. dorothy sould try to get then to make up of course, but... I don't know how successful she'd be. and... I think this wiuld have very much impacted noel. would he feel as though he had to keep an eye on people 24/7 so they don't suddenly disappear on him? never calm dalm, always be on the lookout? and it's slways his fault if things go wrong? claire wouldnt have let this happen. she would know shat to do. claire claire claire-
goodness. I've rambled wuite a bit, huh? hope it was an enjoyable read though.

Anyways! this is meant to be dorothy taking Noel & Sirius away from mansion cause of Nicholas in the oopsie au (claire gets cursed instead) and well. yeh.

Though I can only really see them in the fantasy spaces the girls create... Haven't been outside the mansion after all and I try to make sure the mansion stays spotless so...
A loud and excited voice rang out in the halls of the mansion and Claire jumped a bit before taking a deep breath in and out.
"Oh Claire there you are!" Truning around she saw Lime barreling towards her. "I need you to come with me realll quick and stop cleaning this stupid little mansion nobody cares about."
The smile she'd put on grew more strained as she fought for it not to turn into a scowl. How did she keep getting her with this? "Hi Lime. I would really appreciate if you could stop calling me spending time here stupid."
"Oh? But Claire," Lime laughed, cruel, "this place is a dump! Just admit it already. Noel and Sirius abandoned it, why do you even care?"
"Lime, that's not true! They may have left it behind but they would appreciate me caring for it. And if not them, then at least granny would." She's irritated. Quite honestly, she's surprised she still reacts like this to her jabs. And it's always making fun of Noel and Sirius - always them. How come it still gets her?
She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose "Just get to the point."
"Fine, fine. I guess I'll leave you and your delusions alone for now. We have more important things to be doing anyways!" Lime shrugged with a smile before grabbing her arm. "So you know how Rouge has been getting all uppity about..."
She walked, hands trailing along the wooden walls of the mansion.
There wasn't anything else to do at the moment really. She was bored but Lime was being weird today and Zizel was nowhere to be found so she travelled through the empty halls like a ghost.
Truly, she was a ghost, wasn't she? A ghost that refused to leave. She laughed humorlessly. She wondered what Sirius would think if he saw her again, what granny would think, what Noel-
No, she shook her head, she shouldn't think about things like that.
She looked around, noticing she found herself in front of her old room. Or is it really old if she still lived here, though not in the way as before?
She entered quietly, walking up to the shelf and picking out the book that she once wrote daily in. Her diary.
She carefully maintaned a blank expression, even as she felt pangs of nostalgia hit her heart just looking at the cover.
What were they doing now, she wondered? None of the demons ever told her anything beyond whether they were alive or not, which while better than nothing still left her longing.
She flipped through the pages, remembering the sun-soaked days where she and Noel and Sirius would play all day while granny watched from the sidelines - how long has it been since then?
Tears gathered at the edges of her eyes and she quickly wiped them away. This is stupid... Why do you still care? They won't come back, you know? They've probably forgotten you even existed.
She shook her head. Maybe not, but she'll still do her best to maintain this place. Granny wouldn't want it to fall apart, even if she's no longer occupying the space here.
