Headcanons:

Hiccup takes off Toothless's tailfin so that the scars don't get irritated.

He usually takes his prosthetic off for a few hours after dinner but puts it back on before bed because he kept trying to run out of bed in the morning and decided that'd be the best solution.

He was called a changeling a lot as a child, mostly fueled by Spitelout so people wouldn't accuse Snotlout.

He knows to go for Snotlout's jaw because when they were little Snotlout would bite him and the quickest way to get him off was to hit his jaw.

Stoick had him privately tutored after Tuffnut shoved the first teacher off a cliff because he figured Hiccup would be next.

Hiccup was first to realise that dragons actually have a language with words, and first to speak dragon (though, admittedly, Snotlout's got a slightly better grasp on it; Toothless doesn't try to teach Hiccup how to swear)

Hiccup has been picked up by all of the riders at some point.
