Base Lore for Canon: Russet was found by Bloodmoon while he worked under Ruin, he kept Russet, raising them until his death, which is where the celestial family took them in. Russet’s origins happened to die with Bloodmoon, so nobody knows where they came from, let alone what their original purpose was. Russet aged quickly, when Bloodmoon found them they were an infant, it did not take long for them to suddenly grow and age to three, then six after he died, the last time they aged was monitored by Moon, and it was the largest age up, now they are 15 years old, living in the new dimension with the celestial family.
Russet still cares for their father, though they rarely bring it up as it is an uncomfortable topic.
Base Lore for Slice of Life: Everyone lives together in one dimension and nobody is dead, most of everyone is happy. Rusty ages normally, now 11 as they attend middle school with their friends and older brother Harvest. Both Bloodmoon exist as separate entities in this world.

Russet doesn’t swear that often, if anything, they’re more likely to say “Holy smokes!” Or “Holy mackerel!” if surprised. They’ll just replace the swear word with something else.
Rusty really wants a cat like Sun, but their dad(s) do not want to take care of a cat. Neither does Harvest and Folly, but they’re more likely to sneak a cat into the house for Rusty,
Sun has also met Error, he was terrified, but also took note that Error seemed saddened to see him. They eventually helped him home to his dimension before parting ways. Though he had to help them a few times due to their blindness.
Russet has met alternate versions of themself, including Error. They feel bad for this version of them, Russet gave them a bracelet they made before leaving.
Russet doesn’t technically work at the plex with everyone else, but they do help around by carrying heavy things for Solar or the others if they need the help. They just don’t like being left alone.
Rusty excels in science in school! Primarily anatomy and biology, which is because of their dad and his bloodlust, he may of taught them the best places to strike someone. It’s also why Rusty knows how to fight! Even though they lose the majority of the fights they’re in.
Russet experiences nightmares more frequently than anyone else, Moon theorizes that it’s either because of trauma they’ve experienced or because of them being a very out of the ordinary Bloodmoon variant.
It’s neither, Russet just has very strange dreams that border on nightmares.
