The ScandiGermania comic I’ve been dying to do for a while. It’s a bit late for Valentine’s Day but happy late Valentine’s day! ^^

I tried to do this as quickly as possible due to my tight schedule. I hope you enjoy it! ^^

Originally Germania was supposed to be shown buttoning up the cloak for her since he was the one who bought it for her but his arm drove me insane so I just took it out. XD’

The Story

My headcanon is that Germania is an awkward and shy man especially when it comes to matters of love. Also, wouldn’t you be a little shy with the woman you consider the most beautiful of them all? (There was a quote my friend told me of a Germanic man who said something along the lines of how despite the Norse’s savage ways, there is nobody fairer than them. I need to look into it more.)

I think this takes place when they were younger and Germania’s awkwardness is up by a hundred, could it be one of the first times he’s with Skadi when they hit their growth spurts?

((We're not dead. I apologize for the lack of updates. Arch is away on vacation and has little time on the computer, and I am in my last semester so things are getting busy. I'm sorry, I really wished to update during my break but did not get the chance due to other important projects.

Whenever the chance arises, I'd like to talk to Arch more about updating and spicing up the blog if anyone sees this then feel free to drop something in the askbox if you have suggestions.

I have made many announcements like these, but I wish to keep you very very patient fans (we are very proud to have you guys. <3) updated and that this blog is not dead unless we say it is.

How were women treated back in your time? Were you treated any differently because of your status as a personification? (nice theme btw!)

It depends on how well off the woman is. A free woman, such as myself is expected to be treated with the courtesy and respect that we deserve. *smirks and flips her hair* Unlike most cultures, man and woman worked together and a woman’s importance does not only lie in her ability to give birth. Remember, that magic is mainly a Norse woman’s area of expertise and practice. Depending on our magic, we can use it for good such as healing or for prophecy, our magic can also be used to delude and confuse the mind as well. If we are angered by a man, then that will be a man’s folly, and he will realize his error when he meets his grave.

Then, there are the un free women; the thralls. It depends all on their master and what they are used for. Some were used to do the milking, washing and churning or their master require them to perform other services such as being bed-slaves, nannies, or personal maids. They were property and were to be treated by their masters in any way they wish, same with the men.

I have only told a few trustworthy jarl what I truly am, and they often sought my help, in matters such as battle, magic, medicine or other matters that concerned the village.

((True, that Scandinavian women were treated better. Skadi is especially boastful since she feels her culture did a much better job than most.))

Drabble

It is a chilly fall night, the moonlight danced off of the figures heading down the path, one was tall and the other five were short and clearly children. Over the rustling leaves and distant cars they can be heard chattering. "Ya never like ta be the same, do ya?" The bear with glasses said to the boy next to him. "Sometimes it's good to be different, plus, you guys took all the good characters!" He complains. "Shh, you all look just fine." The older woman tells them. "Berwald, Tino, it doesn't matter if you are wearing costumes from different things. Just enjoy yourselves."

"It's amazing we even managed to convince Mor to come along!!" A loud boy shouts, his hair is black and his outfit is red, he felt pretty cool in this, even if he was dressed up as a villain. "Watch yourself, Mathias, I will be keeping an eye on you." His mother scolds. "Remember what happened last Halloween?" The crew arrives at the doorway of a house. "Nothing happened last Halloween, ah-hahaha..." Mathias says sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. "You made yourself sick on candy because you ate it all, let's not have a repeat."

"Then we had nothing left to eat for us..." Says the purple eyed boy with the strange hat. "Hey I left some for you!" Retorts the other. "One piece does not count! Stop struggling Icy..." He tightens his grip on the youngest boy, dressed up as a rabbit with a little waistcoat, that was a big mistake. "Let go, Nor!!!!"

"Enough, children, are you ready... When they open the door we have to say it together..." Their mother knocks on the door and when it opens together they all cry; "TRICK OR TREAT!!"

This is an ask account for fem!Scandinavia, her children the Nordic nations of: Denmark, Sweden, & Norway.

It is run by two people! Cassie, who draws the pictures and writes as Scandi, and... Arch, who writes the dialogue for the children.

As for Norway and Finland, their father is Sami. ((Sorry there isn't much on Norway, Finland or Sami, I don't have a design for Sami.))

Skadi: *First time she meets him, she picks him up and just stares at him, trying to deny how cute he is.* Ice: ... *Stares back a little warily*

Skadi: *Staaare* Ice: *5 minutes later*... Amma... Why are you staring at me like that? *Worried*

(Admin Arch here to explain some headcanons for you. c: Here you see Norway and Denmark finding little Iceland, it is our headcanon that they are the nations to find him as it is primarily Norwegian vikings and settlers who founded Iceland. Historically speaking there is a good chance that by this period (~800AD) Skadi herself would have moved on as it was now time for her sons to shine. This in turn makes Iceland her grandson, rather than her actual son. To save confusion and stop questions I suppose Iceland is raised to call Norway brother, rather than father (or it is a mistranslation of the comic idk), but I imagine that Norway (especially) and Denmark would have raised him much like a son.

Another headcanon I'd like to briefly explain is Norway and Finland's parentage. Given their geography and cultural influences I believe their parent nations would be Scandinavia and Sami.

So you have: SkadixSami = Norway and Finland SkadixGermania = Sweden and Denmark NorwayxDenmark(Possibly) = Iceland

I helped my people expand and I helped heal the wounded. I did my duty as a personification. Germania visited, and I visited him in turn but I mostly walked alone.

Despite the fighting, I felt my life was relatively peaceful and quiet.

I do not mind being alone, I like gathering my thoughts and being at ease on the mountains, listening to the sounds of the howling wolves...

Germania is the most prominent male figure. He's the father of Denmark and Sweden, unsurprisingly they like it whenever he visits.

Germania: Hello, children, I hope you haven't been giving your mother a hard time...

Den: I would never do that! Hey, hey! Do you think while you are here you could show us how to chop down a tree?!

Swe: ...

Den: And then you can show us how you hunt deer!!

Swe: ...

Den: And THEN you can show us how to kill invading armies with one sword and a crossbow!!! XD
