Inktober Day 1: Ring.

Roxy and Zale are long-distance friends, but they sometimes travel to meet up every so often.

Also, this vine has been killing me every time I rewatch it.

Zale is a furry shark who is somewhat of a mix between a city boy and a surfer dude. He lives in a fictional ocean/beach city and goes to both the beach and the boardwalk whenever possible, but otherwise hates being away from a city at any point.

He’s fairly confident and chill, but a little slow academically in favor of having fun. Unlike Roxy, he often pushes his luck in the water and is frequently rescued by lifeguards due to his carelessness. However, he’s a good-hearted man and mainly wants to just enjoy his life.

He also has a tendency to stay up all night at the boardwalk or at the mall, especially in the non-summertime in which it takes quite a while for him to wake up. He often wears his swim trunks in everyday life, though not all the time.

He likes swimming, surfing, the beach, boardwalks, boardwalk food (especially pizza and ice cream), taking dares, flirting, and cuddling with girls (though he’s hesitant admitting it). He dislikes camping, being away from the cityscape, being away from the beach, and waking up early. His birthday is on November 24th.

Cyvia (pronounced “Sih-vee-ah”) is a Faebex, my open species. She as a result lives on the main planet in which Faebexes exist on, Unita. Faebexes are, very, very simply, alien animals with canine and batlike traits with the theme of Libra that live in communities and have a developed culture.

She’s partially based on the song Seventeen by Sjowgren, and can be considered a mom and therapist friend, being very empathetic and willing to listen to anyone with their problems. However, although she tends to take care of her friends, she’s fairly bad at taking care of herself. She has a lot of internal self-hatred, mainly feelings of worthlessness and her thoughts that everything will work out for everyone else makes her feel completely unimportant.

She has a girlfriend named Electise, who she bonded with over the course of months of helping her recover from her issues using her calm and understanding demeanor. She also avoids arguments at any cost, and can be a huge pushover because of it. 

She likes offering help, being close with others, apples, Electise, flying and the celebration of the last Uniten day of the year. She dislikes arguments, herself, thoughts of uselessness and being alone. She was created on early dusk on the final day of the Uniten year, which applies to October 8th on Earth.

Azurine is a Pupstar, a musical cyborg canine based on a certain song, in Azurine’s case, Blue Skies Again by Jessica Lea Mayfield. (her hc voice is the same as Mayfield’s in the song) She plays more songs than just that one though, she loves both upbeat happy songs and deep passionate sad songs.

She’s very imaginative and creative, but quite prone to mood swings and overall very sensitive. She sometimes writes her own song ideas but her tendency to cry when rejected causes her to avoid singing them. She also has an affinity for songbirds and other small birds, sometimes finding inspiration in watching them.

She loves spring and summer and hates the cold, to the point where she refuses to perform outside in winter. Being very extroverted, she spends a lot of time outside of her Tamagotchi form, but in winter she spends far more time in it. She also dislikes her core or belly being touched, since those are sensitive areas. Her biggest fear is being destroyed from the inside.

She likes singing, music, summer, spring, birds, the sky, being with others, and bringing out her emotions in her songs. She dislikes winter, cold, being low on energy, people touching her core or belly, and her privacy being invaded. She has no birthday.

Tiger is an athletic scalie, based on Legends of the Hidden Temple, mainly the Orange Iguanas team. As a result, she’s a literal orange iguana, as well as an infinitely 19-year-old to keep her 90s nostalgia and millennial edge alive, despite likely coming to existence back in 1993.

She’s very cocky, confident and competitive, and will not hesitate to take on most challenges. Her adventurous spirit will not hold back and she tends to get herself in trouble quite a lot. She’s a brave soul and her eternal youth certainly helps in her intensity. She’s a butch lesbian and likes dressing/appearing masculine or androgynous, it’s incredibly hard to find her ever dressing explicitly feminine.

Being based on LOTHT, she is especially fascinated with Mayan culture and bits of other Central American cultures. She also holds a lot of fondness and love for 90s Nickelodeon, and to her next to no time has passed since that time. Since she is an iguana, she is a vegetarian, but not a vegan since her anthropomorphism has her able to consume non-meat animal products. She claims she’s not afraid of the Temple Guards’ jumpscares, but nobody really knows if that’s true considering how arrogant she can be. She always carries around a Pendant of Life in her pockets for good luck.

She likes games, herself, Mayan culture, 90s nostalgia, watching people struggle with the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, exercise, her lucky Pendant, flirting with cute girls and the color orange. She dislikes meat, being annoyed, boredom, frustration, losing hard games, and people throwing shade at her team. Her birthday is on September 10th.

Samantha is a lop-eared bunny with an adoration for aesthetics. She also serves as the mascot of my aesthetic blog, @blueflowingstream and as a result loves anything that has to do with the blog. Shades of blue (especially muted/dark blues), things that glow in the dark, snow, old technology (especially big blocky computers), and abandoned areas retaken by nature are her favorites.

She’s modeled after domestic, not wild rabbits, and is very expressive and open with her thoughts and feelings. She does not show it by speaking, though. Although she can speak, she rarely ever does, being mostly mute mainly because she prefers pictures and gestures to words. She tends to be a bit shallow and judge by looks, being very visually focused most of the time.

Her greatest dream is to live in an abandoned mall half-grown over with blue neon signs in a cold part of the world. She has a blocky Windows XP computer that she loves using, and when she has to resort to using words she just types out what she intends to say on a Word document.

She likes the aesthetics stated above, darkness, winter (and playing in the snow), using her blocky computer, and internet nostalgia. She dislikes strong eye strain (especially highly saturated warm colors), being talked down to, being asked to speak, meat (she’s an herbivorous animal and therefore vegan) and the daytime. Her birthday is on May 8th.

Vivian is an anthro Dewott who is the leader of a girl gang of anthro Pokemon. She’s a lean-muscled, aggressive young woman who tries to always uphold justice with her gang. She’s rather short-tempered, but genuinely always wants to do the right thing.

She enjoys wearing jackets that are halfway-zipped and anything punk-related, such as fingerless gloves and dark eyeshadow. She’s very emotional and empathetic, and sticks up for those who are powerless. Despite this, she claims to be a loner, and mainly trusts her friends in her girl gang.

Her moves (being a Pokemon) are X-Scissor, Swords Dance, Aqua Tail and Hydro Pump. She prefers using X-Scissor most, and she can be intense with her jumping to aggression. She has an older brother who is a Servine, who is calmer and helps her relax at certain points. The rest of her gang are a Torracat named Tabitha, a Glaceon named Willow and a Stoutland named Eva.

She likes punk aesthetics, debate, political music and movements, her gang, fish/seafood, and equality. She dislikes injustice, bigotry, pretending things are okay when they aren't, and betrayal. Her birthday is on August 2nd.

Hydrangea is a Domestic Longhair cat, specifically a Turkish Angora/Norwegian Forest Cat mix with a much higher resemblance to the former (although they are a bit bigger/taller than an Angora).

They were originally conceived as an admittedly rather blank character until I revamped them, trying to separate my anxiety from myself into a separate character. As you can assume from that description, they are a nervous, introverted cat who is easily frightened, but they’re ultimately very sweet and just wants to feel safe. They’re also very cautious, and never tries to rock the boat. They hate being the center of attention and are very selfless, if a bit too humble at points.

They love flowers, especially their namesake hydrangeas, and has a collection of hydrangeas and precious stones. Their collection serves as a comfort area, and they snuggle in their hydrangeas when excessively stressed. They’re an adult, but keeps in touch with their parents Lilac and Snapdragon. They’re genderfluid, and the ring on their tail has a different color depending on their pronouns. (they/them = gray, he/him = dark rose, she/her = bright blue)

They like flowers, flower crowns, friendly people, being understood, peace, beautiful stones, and having their own space like in their hydrangea collection. They dislike being the center of attention, injustice, chaos, aggression, crowds, violence, or being touched most of the time. (especially by strangers) Their birthday is on July 14th.

Roxy is an anthro Newfoundland dog with a goofy, playful attitude and an adoration for swimming. She’s notably tall, big and bulky, with a mix of chubbiness and muscle. She’s quite friendly and optimistic, but very gullible and can be a bit careless at times.

She has webbed paws, long upper lips and huge lungs like real life Newfies, but the anthropomorphism has her life much longer than the short Newfie lifespan, and she regularly cleans her excessive drool. Her fur is especially thick (and often tangled), and, like most Newfies, she’s incredible in the water. She will do anything to swim, and loves the beach (though she dislikes the heat of summer otherwise). During the summer, she works as a lifeguard at her local beach and alternates between jobs during other seasons.

Despite seeming extroverted, she’s actually an ambivert. She finds as much energy charge and enjoyment in staying home playing word searches as she does hanging out with her friends. She also speaks with a very slight Canadian accent (ie. says “sorry” as “sore-ee” or “tomorrow” as “to-moore-oh”).

She likes swimming, soft things, smaller animals, word puzzles (think crosswords/word searches), doggo/pupper memes (she often refers to herself playfully as a “big ole doggo”), cool weather, and upbeat music. She dislikes having her fur brushed, heat in her thick fur, rude people, being too serious (when not on the job), uncomfortable clothes/accessories (ESPECIALLY fancy stuff, she despises both tight dresses and suits), and sarcasm. Her birthday is on December 10th.
