Hello yes, It appears the class snake is back into drawing now, This is good, May i be so keen to ask as to how you might be doing thus far? It's been a while since you've posted anything!
It has been a while! Let us just say that things have been…
Well, they’ve been incredibly rough.
dumsneksaysß >:y
I suppose that makes you the dumb snek here… doesn’t it?
We need to get you onto a training regimen.
It seems you may have your wish, dear boy.
((Guess who’s back into drawing again?))
Best
Indeed, boy!
((I’m not dead! My lack of motivation has been much due to stress from the time leading up to, during and after moving to another city to take my first real job. I actually doodled this while at work, though there was nothing in particular to do. I felt shading was a bit much for a simple “hey here I am” but maybe I’ll go back to more complex stuff if the mood strikes. I can’t say I’ll guarantee any number of answers, but I would like to complete more asks if the circumstances are correct. Oh, and I also figured out how to track tags finally. I’ll be tracking “ask-tangle” and “tangle nathair” for those who may answer asks of mine.))
((Plus, I think this is the smallest I’ve ever made my sig.))
layla: what do you like to do when you are bored?
I suppose sometimes I let my imagination get out of hand, and I will sometimes pretend I’m a, erm… soda bottle elemental… I have no clue who keeps leaving these around the office, but it seems I’ve garnered quite the collection! They’re very easy for my mind to lift en masse, and make quite the pleasant sound when they slam into things. I’ve also made a habit of collecting the caps and redeeming them for points… though none of the rewards are worth it. Oh, well. Nothing lost, nothing gained.
((Yes, yes, I know, another huge delay. At least the blog’s not dead. I’m sure I’ll eventually catch up with all these asks, but for now, I’ll just take it in stride. It is still silly fun to do these on occasion.))
After a few comments about my suit being, eh... less than refined, I decided to take a trip to a new tailor. I believe this new suit looks much better, though I worry of how it will affect my agility. I'd hate for it to catch on a branch or something similar...
((Well, I've had a tablet for three days. If this isn't proof I'm a fast learner, I dunno what is. I actually bought this one off a friend. It's a Bamboo Pen & Touch, and for a technical user like me, it's perfect. It doesn't have tilt or fade or anything like that, but the pressure sensitivity (both pen and eraser tip), four buttons on the tablet, and two rocker buttons on the pen are perfect for entry-level drawing. I've settled on using GIMP for art, since, just as before, it has technical stuff I like, even if it does have a high learning curve.))
((Once surpassed though, I think I've found my style. I always wanted to gravitate towards a more realistic shading style, and finally I can do what I want. Help from people like Levy and Mejjers has assisted me finding a direction for my own art. Having never done a serious traditional drawing in my life, this is a breath of fresh air for yet another skill I never thought I had. Am I a genuine artist now?))
((Oh, and I guess I have a signature now, too?))
Whom is your favourite ghost and would you have them over for dinner?
Ah, that’s simple! I rather like Gengars a good bit. They may be large, and possibly a bit mischievous, but they are quite good at what they do! I’ve also met a good couple who are rather agreeable ghosts, and they make excellent dinner partners.
Then again… there are a few more I find rather nice. Yamask are fairly cute, and I’ve not come across one that was disagreeable either. Sableyes are fairly harmless, and loads of fun to explore with, considering how in-tune with their environment they are. Also… I suppose Litwick is a rather cute ghost. Even if they want to burn my soul, I can’t help but give them hugs when they ask.
There’s also Drifloons, who while rather passive, always seem to have some complex thought on their minds! Shedinjas never seem to do much, but I’ve seen them make quite pivotal decisions before! Golurks, while usually stoic, tend to know how to have fun when given a proper nudge! Pumpkaboos are as cute as pumpkins come, and seem to have some sort of wonderful ability to come in all sort of sizes too! And- and… *pant pant pant pant*
*sigh*
I suppose there’s a lot of ghosts I would have over for dinner. I couldn’t possibly go through them all, but perhaps I’ll hold a party at some time, hm?
((I finally have a tablet! Now, I've spent about a day getting used to it, and I must say, it's a large improvement over the 3DS. I started out with a simple 1-minute thing, then messed around with both GIMP and Ormr for a while, and finally ended up with the last image here today. While there's not too much of an immediately visible improvement, there should be if I keep it up.))
((Now, I've been sick while doing these, and my life is still fairly busy, but it should be a lot less time-consuming to reply to asks now that I can just do them on the computer. Perhaps I will clear out some of the backlog soon enough.))
Just some dumb little poke-doodles guest-starring some of my poke-friends.
I had a lot of work to do today, so after it all I just wanted to draw a little thing for fun..!
I, er... must not have been entirely in my right mind at the time. I apologise for any permanent harm caused from my... *snicker* simply abhorrent acts, and will provide compensation to whoever needs such.
((Really though, this is absolutely excellent. I've been in a real slump lately, and this has helped cheer me up a ton, just because of what it is. To the 1 or so people who still look at this blog despite my inactivity, have this to look at until I can get things straightened out on my end. I know I'll need to if I'm going to stay as cheery as I try to be.))
((Also, if you can, go commission this guy. He's been an excellent friend of mine for years, and now that he's trying to make his art into something profitable, he needs all the help he can get. If you like his style, check out his page; he also does NSFW stuff too, so don't be deterred by the as-of-yet SFW nature of this blog. Trust me, I'm probably more twisted than most people I know, even if it doesn't seem such.))
((On that note, I plan on keeping the blog SFW for a while after I get a tablet. It may eventually swap over, but it won't be an immediate thing, and I won't do it without warning. I'm still interested to hear what my followers have to say about the idea, so I suppose you can leave an ask if you like it, don't like it, or if you're just curious what sort of NSFW content I'm most interested in. Still, no worries. That's a ways away.))
Since apparently everyone is doing this, I suppose I will as well.
I hypnotise my clients & take silly pictures of them.
You’ve done a lot worse things than THAT to people you’ve hypnotized…
Need I remind you boy, that I have an image to keep? The last thing I need is you going about spreading rumors about me or my business. Remember, I taught you all you know about the psychic arts, and I can just as easily put you through a refresher course if the mood strikes.
I just want a picture of a got-damn hot dog
How is this, sir?
My apologies, sir.
What are some advantages and disadvantages about your species?
I’m glad you asked that, since there’s quite a lot when compared to most other Pokémon. The first thing most notice about us are our vines. They’re quite useful appendages, and with how few Pokémon have them, they’re quite rare as well. They seem to change length and girth at will, and when you learn the science behind them, this makes a lot more sense. They’re lined with a powerful ring of muscle surrounding two thick arteries and two thick veins with a bundle of nerves running along the center; this can be compared somewhat to erectile tissue in how it gains the ability to stiffen through blood pressure alone. Most of all, these vines more than make up for my species’ lack of useful hands. That isn’t to say I don’t use my hands on occasion.
In addition, my kind have a rather odd cranial shape compared to most others. Our brains occupy most of the space in our snout and neck, taking full advantage of what would be useless space to increase our mental abilities. I do believe I’m a bit further ahead than most in that regard, but generally speaking, my species’ average intelligence is a bit above most others.
Another interesting property of our head shapes are the fact that we operate off of monocular vision. As opposed to binocular vision, which most Pokémon have, we do not see much depth in the world. There are a few spots both ahead and behind us where we can gain a semblance of depth perception, but most of the time, we simply see a flat image. The upside is that we have nearly complete spherical vision, and because of our powerful minds, we’re able to take and process all that information rather quickly. This sort of eye configuration seems to suggest we are animals of prey, but I never completely agreed with such nonsense.
Lastly, our body shape has to be our most important feature. Being the serpents we are, we carry very thin, light frames. Our bodies don’t usually store too much fat, as we much prefer to run to burn off a good meal every so often. Our flexible shapes allow us to contort into practically any bend we want, as well as allow us to straighten out for maximum balance while sprinting. Our even distribution of weight, and the central positioning of our legs make such acts extremely easy, rendering my species among the faster ones you’ll find, when trained properly.
I hope all this was enough to answer your question - and I’m incredibly sorry if I was too thorough; I tend to get easily carried away when discussing matters of intellect. You seem like a rather intelligent individual, so I supposed I may as well be as detailed as possible. Perhaps we shall speak again!
Well... it appears I have some work to do. My most recent absence was mostly not by choice, but... I still must deal with the consequences. I don't mean to say I haven't enjoyed answering all your questions - quite the contrary, I'd love to answer them all! Perhaps I shall look into making a bit more time for these. Who am I to deny others the knowledge they seek?
((The past couple weeks have been very tough for me, and while It's not as bad as it could be, I still preferred focusing on it as opposed to this. This blog is a decent amount of work for me, especially since I'm limited to such a small drawing device. I've been looking into getting a tablet, but been having a hard time deciding what to get. I'll gladly take suggestions, so allow me to pose a question. What tablet would you suggest, and why?))
Since apparently everyone is doing this, I suppose I will as well.

I have a feeling this will be quite interesting, sir. ✏
