Lady Foster: What in tarnation are you even doing answering questions from strangers? Honey, I thought we were supposed to discuss important matters regarding Project Lazarus.
Katherine: …wait. What seems to be the matter? I thought you put a stop to that project 20 years ago.
Lady Foster: Yeah, well the reanimated corpse of a talking dog just showed up at our doorstep so I think now would be a good time to discuss it again since, oh you knowwwww, someone may have recreated the project for themselves and we might be in imminent danger.
Katherine: Oh no…
Lady Foster: Yeah. “Oh no” is right. If anything else like Archie pops up again we’re fucking doomed.
Katherine: W-what do you suppose we do?

Katherine: I-I never wanted this… This is why I need you. Help me out. Take care of this… You’re the one that talked Fernando out of it!
Lady Foster: God, it’s no wonder people are plotting rebellion. Maybe they’re right, you really don’t know what you’re doing, do you? And to top it all off, you don’t have a damn spine.
Katherine: Look, I know I was suddenly put in this position, but Fernando left this job to me for SOME reason. He knew you too, and he didn’t give you the crown!
Lady Foster: Well he had the hots for you, not me. He really used his head when he made that decision… and I don’t mean the head sitting on his shoulders.
Katherine: No. It can’t be that. That can’t be the reason. He’s not some sort of goddamn idiot. Besides, what do you know about running a country? Why don’t you sit here and handle the Revenant War and a possible rebellion and trying to run a country in the shadow of the Renaissance King? And Aurora seems to have taken Cortez away and GAH. Listen, Mel - I go through enough and I’m not going to have someone who doesn’t know what it feels like push me around!
Lady Foster: …wow.
Katherine: Please, just. Take care of it.
Lady Foster: Right away, your majesty.
Katherine: I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to-
Lady Foster: No no. It’s fine. Props to you, Kat. You really do have a spine in there somewhere. That’s why I let you shove me around.

Personality: Sweet and coquettish yet at the same time brash, condescending and blunt. She can also be very big-headed and can tend to think highly of herself. She also tends to be very secretive of her past and has an extensive knowledge about demons.
Born: She says she was born in 1966.
Occupation: Lead Engineer for the Crown of the Royal Isles (Since the establishment of the crown in 2020)
Spouse: Mentioned but not named.

Not much is known about Lady Melissa, even though she’s the head of all the engineers that work under Queen Katherine. When she does let a bit of her backstory slip out, the information constantly conflicts or what she reveals is extremely cryptic. A notable example is her age, where she claims she was born in the year 1966 when the year is currently 2048. This would mean that she is 82 years old, but she always claims she is 25.
She is very secretive about her backstory as well as her personal life but she is more likely to unveil more about her personal life rather than her backstory when asked.
When it comes to her primary job, she takes her work very seriously and can tend to be very upset if things aren’t done right or if her old dirt is exposed from Fernando’s rule. To accompany her vast knowledge of machinery, she also seems to have an immense amount of physical strength for someone of her stature, which many take note of.
Many men lust after Melissa since she has “un cuerpo construido por pecado” (“a body built for sin”) but some men even recall meeting or having personally known a prostitute named Roxanne, who looked very similar to Melissa in appearance and had mysteriously disappeared one evening in the year 2019 - in the midst of the Cryptic War. Roxanne was presumed dead by the police at the young age of 25, but many theories surround her disappearance. Many men theorize that Lady Melissa had involvement in the disappearance of Roxanne, but she often denies even knowing her and acts strange when asked about her.
Whether she had involvement in the prostitute’s mysterious disappearance or not, she seems to share her formally flirtatious personality, oddly enough. She tends to call strangers “Sugar” or “Sweetie” (in a more flirty way than in a more grandmotherly way) and while many men swoon over her, she does claim to have a husband. Not much is known about him aside from the fact that he works as a bartender for her “other job” and that she met him a long time ago and had only recently reunited and married, claiming she had lived in Hayañil for much longer than he did.

Adrián: How is this even possible? We locked ARCHIE away long after Fernando abandoned the whole Project Lazarus disaster… If she sees that someone else may have imitated it that means that someone knows about Archie.
Cristiano: …and if someone knows about Archie someone knows about Project Lazarus. And if someone knows about Project Lazarus, Lady Melissa’s going to-
Christiano: Lady Foster, ma'am! You’re here for a visit to the castle I presume! Ma'am, I can explain-
Melissa: Quit your chin-wagging. Both of you.
Melissa: And I don’t need you gum-flapping dumbasses distracting me from my work.
Cecilia, you have sexy legs, can you show them off ?
Cecilia: Mon dieu, Isn’t my natural skirt short enough? One of these days I need to wear something else, I get too many weird requests from strangers… Perhaps it’s the whole reputation that we maids get? I understand that some people wear the outfit to fulfill some fantasy but I promise you that I am a real maid!
Cortez: Was... Was all of that just a mere dream? I should’ve known... How was I unable to see that coming? To think I knew everything there is to know about demons like-
Aurora: You know what they say about assuming, you royal dimwit... it makes an ass out of you and me... But honestly, it was mostly you!
Aurora stood there for a moment with her fingertips daintily tapping her own chin, deep in thought while Ivy stood boldly in front of her, trying her hardest to appear assertive. In reality, however, the zangoose was quite scared of the demonic entity that was once a living, breathing sylveon. After a few brief moments of deep thought, the sylveon continued to speak once more.
“But… I’ll spare you this time, Ivy…” She cooed slyly with a collective smile.
Ivy seemed shocked that the demon knew her name, despite never seeing her before.
“You… You know my name…” Ivy whimpered, taken aback.
“Of course, sweetie-pie! I know a lot more than most people think… And so do you- hehe~ But I’ll listen to you just this once and back off… Not because I don’t want to cause any trouble but because it’s all part of my little plan…” Aurora chuckled as she slowly dissipated into thin air, the morning sun rising and lighting up the fields of green around the duo.
Cortez was obviously still rattled from the whole ordeal and what Aurora had told him in the dream when she had shapeshfited into Fernando had stuck to his brain like glue. He had to get this off his chest since it involved Ivy, after all.
As Ivy rushed over to help the shaken Cortez get back up on his feet, she grabbed his staff and helmet and handed it to him in a thoughtful gesture while preening him and making sure he was okay.
“Cortez, are… are you okay?” She asked with a look of worry sprawled across her face. She wanted to ask him who Aurora was and why she was there, but Cortez responded in a way that caused more questions to arise.
“Uh… Ivy, my orchid… I… I just wanted to say…”
The Prince paused for a bit before speaking again.
“You're not sucking the life out of me, Ivy... I promise. If anything, you're slowly giving me more life…”
Ivy tilted her head in puzzlement for a bit, but was still rather touched by the remark.
“That’s sweet and all, but… Who told you that?” She asked her partner as the pair started to continue walking.
Cortez looked straight into her eyes for a second, his face expressionless and almost looking like a zombie since he was still drowsy. The prince let out a yawn before ultimately deciding to answer Ivy’s question.
“…Aurora… The demon’s name is Aurora…”

Mod: Welp, I know I put this blog off hiatus and then didn’t post anything for a good few months again. My apologies but premed isn’t getting any easier for me.
That aside, hopefully now that my schedule has freed up, I can work on this blog some more after god knows how long. I will introduce a new character after this post and then finally get to some asks! But I am working on a few other side-projects so keep that in mind and bear with me please. I’m trying my best.
