@Kathrine: If you met your past self, what would you tell yourself?
Katherine: …If you don’t know who I’m talking about, dear, you’ll soon find out. He isn’t what he seems to be after all. Heh, he’s the reason why I am who I am now and trust me - being a queen isn’t as marvelous as it seems… Not in the least.
When Katherine had blinked, the image that was her younger, more vivacious self had suddenly disappeared, sending the queen into a frantic state of panic.
“…S-sweetheart? W-Where did you go?” She called out to the braixen that was her nearly three or four decades ago.
Her breathing grew more and more unstable while her heart rattled her ribcage. She could feel anxiety gripping at her lungs and trying to stop her from breathing. Was she going mad, or was Aurora playing games on her again? All kinds of grim predictions coursed through her brain before she finally regained composure.
“Huh. That’s… strange. I guess m-my younger self must’ve run off somewhere. that’s all.”
Now collective but still paranoid of the situation, Queen Katherine began to talk to herself while pacing about the castle grounds.
“…O-Oh dear, I must’ve imagined all of that. Haha, silly me! I must be losing my damn mind from all the stress. P-perhaps I should get some rest… YES, rest. That will do me well. T-Tomorrow is a new day after all, Katherine…”
Since night had fallen, the exhausted delphox then retired to her quarters for the night, trying to push her worries about her people, Aurora, Johann and her absent son Cortez deep into the concave of her mind.
[ Katherine seems to slowly lose her grip on her own emotions. She could fall apart any second! ]

I’ve been itching to post this ALL WEEK because it looks SO GREAT AHHHH! Thank you so much Mundew, this really did help a lot! Plus, I love what you added in dialogue-wise!

Sensei: This is a rather peculiar environment. Where I come from, humans are the prominent species. I was going to ask if this place was clean of human-born pollution but from the looks of this foul technology you've done that yourselves.
Stephen: In simpler terms, forget everything that you know about us pokémon. Pokémon are just a type of race among many others. Each individual, no matter what race they are, has their own “Elemental” rather than a type. Although, some of their move types still remain the same, like fairy or steel. Elementals work nearly the same way- meaning that they have their strengths or weaknesses, but can still learn an elemental move OUTSIDE the typing they’re born with if they mastered the emotion that it entailed.
For example, an earth elemental can learn a Fire-type elemental move by harnessing their ANGER well enough, while Earth elementals can flawlessly use their powers by being filled with PRIDE.
Pokémon and koopas are only the TIP of the iceberg for this diverse environment. There are much more strange creatures that are just as capable as I am of living in an organized and complex society FILLED with beings capable of using the very powers of nature to defend themselves from one another.
…It’s rather strange to think about, really. Although, now I’m curious to find out more about these “Humans” that you speak of…

The crystal clear image of an upright Queen Katherine is shown on the screen of the device, suddenly coming to life and giggling while a male voice called for her name behind the camera. The photo was still at first, but soon moved, turning into the a video.
???: Kathy! Hey Kat! Haha, Quit laughing and show off that cape I got you!
Katherine: Haha, why are you taking my video, Stevie? It's just a cape.
Stephen: But not just any cape! It's made from the finest red silk from The Zhongguo empire, and the fur of the fluffiest ermine in the Eurasian Union... Needless to say, it was a lot of hassle getting this for you. I think it would suit you well, my dear! Consider it an early wedding gift from me to you! Only for my darling Kathy! I want to capture every moment on video to look back on when we grow older!
Katherine giddily laughed at the remark, looking into the camera with a sparkle in her fiery eyes.
Katherine: You're simply a charmer my dearest Stephen! It is a gorgeous cape. I can't wait to marry either! I think it would be lovely for Cortez to finally have a father figure in his life, and no one else would perform that job better than you, honey.
The camera is then put down and the images of King Stephen and Queen Katherine are towering over it, Stephen with a smartphone in his hands.
Stephen: How about a picture of my gorgeous wife-to-be with her new cape? To go into the family album once we have Flora?
Katherine: Why not? That sounds marvelous! Go ahead and take my picture, honey!
Stephen then stands above the camera with his phone poised before a flash of light appears then dissipates. Stephen then looks down on the display of his phone before picking up the camera again and pointing at Katherine. She looks younger, more hopeful. Happier as well.
Stephen: You look absolutely stunning, darling! Your shining, luscious hair, your captivating face, those sparkling, fiery eyes... I'm the luckiest guy on the planet to finally be reunited with you...
Katherine: Oho, stop it you! You're making me blush! I wouldn't even call it hair... But I do need a new picture for the Royal Post. Stevie-poo? Do you mind sending me that picture? Along with the video you're taking now. I could use some memories myself...
Mod: Couldn’t help but add a little backstory to my new icon for this blog. This takes place prior to the current setting its in right now.
Miss Katherine, How many have there been on your life?
Queen Katherine: Men in my life, I presume? Well… don’t tell Stephen what I am about to tell you…
Queen Katherine: …He had thrown my heart away when I had clearly given him all my affection… I did so much for him… W-We had a child for God’s sake! Poor Cortez never had a father… Please, don’t tell Stephen that this conversation happened… (Retreating to her room, her sobs intensifying) I… I need some time for myself now… Please, excuse me…
Cecilia: Oh non… She blew a gasket and now she is crying in her room! You must’ve really upset her… Just- leave her be, Monsieurs et Mademoiselles… This will hopefully pass soon. King Fernando actually acted the same exact way back when he was still around… He always retreated to his quarter when one brought up Mademoiselle Hurwicz…

Side note: Well. You guys did it. You done bent Katherine and she snapped like a twig. I need to actually applaud you guys on that since I really underestimated how good the asks would be, to be honest. But you have unlocked MAJOR components of the plot using your asks. Congratulations! But this story is still nowhere near over…. Heh.
(I’m prepared for anything you can throw at me. I have the entire plot memorized and all my asks’ dialogues written out on my iPad.) XD

Queen Katherine, How did you meet Stephen? How long has he been courting you?
Katherine: Actually, believe it or not, Stephen and I first met in high school back when I lived in Texas about thirty years ago… Although, he and I were polar opposites.
Katherine: (Slightly shaking her head, closing her eyes while speaking in a murmur.) I have never seen him since I moved to South Carolina at the time, and I constantly tried to fill the void in my heart with other men that only turned out malicious… I actually never saw him ever again until the Cryptic War. But that’s a story for another day…
Katherine then grabbed a glass of wine from the office in the castle, taking a small sip before speaking again in her raspy voice.
Katherine: In the end, when he had replaced the deceased Dictator Tobias as the New Roman Empire’s ruler, he had offered to meet me again for negotiations between our nations, but he had soon ended up rekindling the love we had for one another in our youth… The rest is history.
Mod: By the way, please don’t ask Katherine about her past self just yet. Younger Braixen Katherine will be available for asks soon. For a limited time only, that is. So if you have questions about Katherine’s youth, save them for this special blog event that I have planned in a couple months.
