That... was interesting... (Zane encounter)
Xera sighed.Ā āI should have known he was a seer. Iām basically, like, the closest thing to the spirit of seers anyways. I guess the Sight doesnāt work through TVs.ā They muttered under their breath to the asker. Another sigh, as they picked up boxes of tea and set them back down. āThe thing about spirits is, we are physically human when weāre in our human forms, but itās more like... how do I put it... weāre corporeal, but looking human is just an illusion. A human shaped and flavored illusion. Underneath that... facade, we look like the void does, like weāre made of static, an ever-shifting ball of black and white dots.ā They stared intensely at the grocery shelf, but they werenāt really seeing it.Ā āI donāt know how to explain it with your understanding of reality, in 3D, but itās like we donāt really exist in that form, itās more like we just conjured up a human body and possessed it, and can do away with it in favor of our true forms at will.ā
They frowned deeply.Ā āWhat did you ask again? I kind of derailed there. Oh yeah- Zane.ā Deep breath.Ā āI was excited about meeting him, but I didnāt expect him to recognize me and see me. The real me. Anyways, yeah. It would have been better to make my own first impression.ā Another deep breath. In, out. Xera needed to breathe, they were starting to get upset. They looked off into the distance, using their power to see the future. To anyone passing them it would look like they were spacing out.Ā āOh no. Oh no no no no no I donāt want to I-ā Xera said, freaking out about what they were seeing.Ā āI donāt want to hurt anyone.ā They whispered, mostly to themself.Ā āWhat Iām seeing, Iām, Iām hurting them. I donāt want to, I would never.ā Remember your breathing, they thought. They would figure it out and fix it.
((A/N: Could you tell I had a hard time explaining the spirits physical existences? ~Mod Shiny))
