But I do like Scotland. I like the miserable weather. I like the miserable people, the fatalism, the negativity, the violence that’s always just below the surface.
And I like the way you deal with religion. One century you’re up to your lugs in it, the next you’re trading the whole apparatus in for Sunday superstores. Praise the Lord and thrash the bairns. Ask and ye shall have the door shut in your face. Blessed are they that shop on the Sabbath, for they shall get the best bargains.
Oh yes, this is a very fine country.

here is Kalmar Union Sweden, while I kick myself back into drawing shape Hello all I have not been online a lot because I am home where the internut sucks and it takes me about 5 minutes to load a tumblr page. let’s not talk about anime (5 hours per ep) or lj or twitter (which I can’t actually load lololol). about the only things that work are msn and facebook (sometimes) But I exaggerate. It really only takes me 4 mins 55 secs to load a tumblr page.
ADDENDUM:
SOURCES Usually I try to make the costumes as accurate as possible but this time, being the ass I am, I shipped home the book I bought to refer to for depictions of historical armour. (Said book is still in a crate on some ship somewhere.) And there you have it, pot-luck Kalmar Union. -facepalm- Denmark: Eric of Pomerania Norway: Another depiction of Eric + fur gown properly attributed to later 16th c. Sweden: Very liberally lifted from Pisanello’s Virgin and Child with Saints

HI
Hey, Admin here. Sorry I have been inactive. Life got me hard. School was difficult. I finally got my associate's degree in engineering. I am transferring to a polytechnic university to continue my studies. I started using Twitter. I competed in the US National Scottish Fiddle Championship last year. I am qualified to compete there again. I have a boyfriend who is awesome. However, with the real world being a mess, I haven't been able to keep up with Tumblr, Hetalia, and really most other things I am a fan of or enjoyed doing that are digital. However, I will admit getting sucked into Twitter for a while. I hope to plan posts on here once more, but I'll have to try working it into my schedule again. I can't let this consume me.
Also, I am 21 years old now, and I started posting fiddling videos on YouTube. Maybe you'll find me if you look up Catherine McClain in YouTube's search bar.
I apologize for letting this die slowly for 3 years. It was never my intention. I hope I can come back, update everything, and have fun here once more.

Scare to Care 2016
I know it has been a while since I posted anything, and I am sorry.
This is really important. This charity live stream is going on right now, and it is for Camp Kesem. 100% of the donations go to Camp Kesem. Camp Kesem is a camp for children who have a parent or both parents suffering from cancer. The kids at the camp get support and make friends who are living through similar experiences. For every $500, a kid can go to Camp Kesem. I have donated myself, and I am sharing this so others may donate too. You can donate however much you feel comfortable donating. If you see this, please share. This stream ends Monday 5PM PDT. So, LET’S GET THOSE KIDS TO CAMP!
Correction: It doesn’t end Monday, it ends Sunday. So, today is your last day to donate to this. I don’t know why I said Monday. But, it ends today, Sunday, 5PM PDT.
I suffer from a disease that is very uncommon, and joining support groups of people going through the same experience as I am going through and being able to talk to those who understand how it feels is really relieving even though it stinks that they have to feel scared and deal with it too. Just being able to talk to people online is so supportive, so I can only imagine just how powerful it feels for these kids to be able to meet other kids who are having to go through watching their parents suffer from cancer. Even if you only donate $1, it still helps. Ever donation is still a donation, and it can really help a kid get support. So, please, let’s help those kids get to camp.
You can buy a Scare to Care shirt too, and money from that goes to Camp Kesem as well. The shirts are awesome too. They are really affordable.
One more hour left! WE CAN DO THIS!
So The Antagonists has received mixed to positive reviews (mostly the latter). Which is great! And there are going to be plenty of books in the future and I hope that most of you can stick with me on this journey.
But with that said, I think that we can all agree that the overall story is not quite…what it was going to be. The story is going to evolve into something great and while I’m personally excited for where it’s going to go, I will fully admit that the superhero/supervillain aspect of the story isn’t going to be as prominent as the other aspects. It’s still going to be there; I promise! There are simply going to be other elements. Most of you seem okay with that but…I also kind of want to write a story that’s focused on nothing but people with disabilities with superpowers.
I’ve had this Young Adult Story in mind for awhile now.
It would be called The Defectives.
The story would be set in a city where everyone has a superpower. The children with disabilities are sent to a boarding school as soon as it becomes evident that their disabilities are causing their superpowers to malfunction. The entire point is to lock them away and keep their superpowers from malfunctioning and harming themselves/others. (For example, a boy with anxiety has pyrokinesis that flares up with his anxiety attacks. In other words, whenever he’s really anxious, fires spontaneously start).
The main character of the story is going to be a girl in a wheelchair (I’m remarkably biased) who has telekinesis. She’s sent to the school and at first, it seems like it’s a prison. She slowly starts to enjoy herself as she meets a great group of friends and some amazing teachers who show her how to control her superpowers. She learns how to make it so that the chair itself is floating. It looks like a regular wheelchair but she can take off the wheels and use them as weapons while the chair is still floating in place.
A majority of the book is just going to focus on the school, the characters’ interactions with one another, and the characters learning how to control their superpowers. The climax of the story occurs when (spoilers) a group of the students decide to use their superpowers to take revenge on the people who sent them to the school in the first place.
Once again, it’s going to be a simple Young Adult Story. The plot itself is going to be admittedly simple because I really want to focus on the characters and all of the amazing possibilities of the relationship between the disabilities and the superpowers.
Two questions:
Would anybody be interested?
Does anyone have any ideas for disabilities and related superpowers?
(NOTE: AT NO POINT WILL THE SUPERPOWERS COUNTERACT/CURE THE DISABILITIES. I HATE THAT TROPE.)
So…thoughts?
