POST-ENERGON ERA AU INFORMATION

Mirage is mysteriously revived 5 months after his death. He is rescued from the vastness of space and brought onboard a spaceship by his fellow remaining comrades: Nightscream, Snow Cat, and Demolishor. The team is scrounging the universe for energon and a safe place to stay, all while avoiding Autobot detection. They must learn to co-exist with one-another without their Master, Megatron/Galvatron, keeping them in line.

Mirage (he/him) <- it's him ! ! ! -He has been revived due to mysterious circumstances that neither he or his comrades are (currently) aware of. He fully believes that Galvatron has something to do with it, as he is very in-love with him. -His strange revival had the side-effect of making him impervious to physical attacks/damage; he is also physically incapable of striking another. It is also noted that his armor's saturation has been altered post-revival, which seems to relate to his new-found resilience. -Is aware that he used to be Tidal Wave, but specific memories are blurry but can be cleared with assistance. He does remember Ramjet and awaits the day he reunites with his little friend once more... if he recognizes him, at least. (MOD MAL: planning on using reaction pictures sparingly since, uh, Mirage's faceplate is... not changing--)

NOTES FOR RP -Mirage is still getting used to not being a giant, simple-minded titan; It takes a moment or two for his processor to work. He does better when he is able to compact his thoughts into just a sentence. Sometimes two. Unless he is talking about something he really enjoys... like his master, or his art... or the books he reads.... then you have a rambling and animated speedboat on your hands. -For some reason he exudes anime waifu vibes sometimes. -He gets flustered when bots can carry him and/or are larger than him. He's unused to it, and a hopeless romantic, so you can't blame the poor guy! He still thinks about Shockblast tossing his ass in space!!!! -Has a soft spot for cute and adorable (and tiny) things.. especially if they're alive/sentient. Put him in a room with a bunch of mini-cons and the guy will have them all tucked into bed in no time. Awe!

Snow Cat (they/them) is a member of the team and speaks to Mirage the most. -Remembers everything from Armada, including Nightscream's real identity and who Mirage was before. While they are still triggerhappy and love to cause chaos, their mental state has taken a downward spiral ever since Galvatron died. They want Demolishor to be the way he was before Megatron tampered with his spark. -Altered frame due to Autobot encounters (stole arm to replace their own lost one). -Their desire for Galvatron's revival is... wavering.

Thundercracker shook the tiredness out of his frame, fluffing out his wings as he warped himself into a new dimension. Oh, this whole thing again. The same slag as always, over and over again. Oh how utterly boring.

His commline was filled with Starscream demanding to know where he was, and Skywarp frantically asking if he was off world again. Of course Thundercracker was. It was those two that he was doing all this slag for of course.

There was another ship up near the horizon. Thundercracker shifted into alt mode, and soon he was at a large glass window. Not particularly caring who was inside, he released a boom of sound with a flap of his wings, shattering the glass instantly.

Smoothing out his feathers, Thundercracker let himself inside.

Mirage was relaxing in the cockpit, sitting on the captain's chair, reading another one of the downloaded romance novels he saved onto his datapad with his pedes propped up on the control panel. Right as he was about to click for the next page, the alarms began to blare-- loudly.

The speedboat shot upward, dropping his datapad. Green optics brightened in surprise, Mirage turned to the screen and quickly shut off the alarm. He squinted at the projected map of the ship and saw the flashing red image of one of the east hallways. Mirage sighed and stood to his pedes, transforming into his boat form, before flying out of the cockpit. Curse the others for being out... it just had to be his turn to manage the ship while they went scavenging, hmph.

It took only a few moments-- perhaps just a minute-- but Mirage transformed back into robot mode when he reached the hallway. In his robot form, Mirage walked down the corridor, lazily glancing over the walls and doors and windows... until he reached a segment he rarely ever passed down.

In the corridor, he saw a little blue flyer with big white wings. Surrounding them were many shards of glass, some floating into the abyss of space. They kind of reminded him of Nightscream. "Who are you?" Mirage called out; his deep, resonant voice loud in the somewhat tight hallway. He took a step, then another, and another, until he stood right in front of the small bot. He didn't feel very... intimidated. The fins on his hips jerked as he moved once more.

"Why are you here?" Mirage bent forward a few inches, raising his purple claw to give the blue seeker a tap on the faceplate. Wow, they were short-- they reached his upper-thigh and that was it. "Decepticon or Autobot?"

Thundercracker cocked his head at the taller mech… He looked like he turned into a boat of some kind. What was he doing all the way out here?

… Better question, what was Thundercracker doing all the way out here? He shook off the remainder of the shattered glass still attached to his feathers.

He transformed the outer glass of his cockpit away to reveal a faded Decepticon symbol. Thundercracker didn’t even remember when he had started to cover it up… Primus he was so tired.

“Not much of anything that should concern you,” Thundercracker said sharply. “…On a technicality, I am a Decepticon. And what are you?”

What he really wanted to ask was WHO are you. Such a strangely colored mech so much larger than he was, also out here in the middle of nowhere. The other bot had no insignia that Thundercracker was aware of.

Alright, chop chop. Not here to make friends. Just to get in and out and get back home before Starscream had another … Whatever was going on with his paranoia and that pain inside him.

Mirage's green optics focused on the faded symbol, helm cocked to the side once more. This seeker must be running from the Autobots too, he rationalized, explains why he barged in like that.

Standing back to his full height and retracting his servo. He redirected his attention to the shattered window, glass still floating about. Ugh. "I am a Decepticon too." Mirage finally answered, "I am called Mirage. You can stay here until the Autobots go away..." He's guessing that the flyer was running from them, at least. Autobot signatures haven't been picked up by the ship for cycles... He should make sure the ship is cloaked, again.

He turned his back and walked away, not to much in a hurry as he found a door and punched in the code. He stepped inside, rustled around, and came outside with a large window pane.

"Why did you come in this way?" He mostly spoke to himself, returning back to his spot in front of the shattered window, "My team should be back soon... have to fix this..." Mirage kicked the remaining glass, letting the shards float out into space as he tediously replaced the heavy glass. He missed the first five times, but eventually got it into place.

Oh, right, the seeker didn't answer his question... "Who are you?" He repeated, knocking on the glass to make sure it wouldn't break. "A servant of the Alpha Q?"

Thundercracker watched as Mirage repaired the window. He only felt a little sorry for breaking it.

Until the Autobots go away… Well, that was quite far from the truth, but Thundercracker would take it. Mirage had not yet seemed to pick up that he was not just a stranger from far away, but from an entirely different world.

“Thank you,” he said curtly. “I… I didn’t see a door. Cybertronians tend not to take kindly to strange bots. And… no, I am not. Really I only look out for myself now. Your team, you say?”

He really had to crane his neck to see Mirage. That was annoying. Thundercracker folded his wings, trying to shake the dust of space off of him. “And what are you doing all the way out here? I’m afraid I’ve travelled far, I’m not so up to date about what’s going on in these parts. Care to tell me?”

He really did need to know. Get in, get out. Hopefully it would be quick. Thundercracker has everything but time.

Mirage, instead of immediately answering the inquiry, just gave the little bot a confused look over his shoulder (as confused as a mech who can't make expressions can look). "... you don't know-" He turned his body, servo on his hips as he stared down the small seeker. Mid-sentence, he reobserved the faded Decepticon insignia... Ah, must've been revived like him, right? More unfortunate situation as this little bot didn't know what was wide-spread news.

"The Autobots think they've won the Unicron Battles," Mirage started, sounding a little disinterested in his own words. "Began to hunt us Decepticons after Galvatron... went away. Something about trials, imprisonment, executions.. I was dead for most of the aftermath, but I came back. Like you must've... whatever your name is." Still don't know.

He glanced out the fixed window, spotting the planet that Nightscream, Snow Cat, and Demolishor had went down to, then back to the little seeker.

"We--my team--were Galvatron's right hand men. They want us dead. We're hiding until we can find other Decepticons.. or until the Autobots quit. Which ever comes first. Are you like us?"

“My name is Thundercracker,” he said curtly. The war was clearly over and the Decepticons had lost. Very interesting.

So they were running, just like him. But in much a different way. Thundercracker would always take his fair shot with a world where the war had ended. It was very hard to prevent it from starting but easier to work with when it was over already. He had far too much experience and basically nothing to show for it.

“…Yes,” he admitted. “My Decepticon comrades are long gone, I’m afraid, and the Autobots do not take kindly to me.”

Not a lie. That was exactly what had happened, just not in this world. “I’m without a ship right now, I’m afraid. It would be on my best interest to stay awhile aboard yours… if you and your men will have me, of course.”

He assumed Mirage was in charge here, but also he had presumably been left behind while the others were… elsewhere. No matter, flattery was always good anyways.

Mirage gave Thundercracker a curt nod as he confessed his situation. Ah, the Autobots must've gotten Thundercracker's comrades. Unfortunate. How Mirage wished he didn't have to talk so much, but without his weapons, there wasn't much for him to do. He had to play nice.

"I'm waiting for the others to come back." The tall mech finally spoke after a klik or two. He glanced back outside, then down the hall. Quietly, he muttered, "Maybe another groon?"

With a tap to his chin (or what supposedly was his chin), Mirage swiftly transformed, folding himself into his boat-form. The sequence ends as the fins at the sides of his hips wrap around and slide into place.. to bad he accidentally hit Thundercracker in the face while transforming. He must've not noticed, as Mirage didn't apologize.

"I am going." The mech's voice sounded, coming from.. somewhere in that form. Probably a speaker. "Climb on. You talk. I fly."

The boat form looked large enough for a mech or three to stand on with little trouble. Mirage really was tall.

Thundercracker hesitated, before climbing onto Mirage's alt mode. He was very large, and Thundercracker wasn't sure how he felt about that. Then again, he was used to Skywarp and Starscream towering over him back when... You know, back when the three of them had been side by side often enough for that to be noticeable.

Mirage invited him to talk... He suspected that the boat-former was not particularly one for words. He wasn't either, but Thundercracker found himself getting more and more talkative the longer he was away from home. He needed some way to fill that silence, after all.

"I'm looking for a place that's... calm. Relatively calm, at least - or somewhere where war is not an obligation. Then I can contact my partners and tell them to come," Thundercracker said. He figured he owed Mirage at least a little information about himself. "Starscream will... It will take him a lot of convincing to come. But what about you... Who are you travelling with?"

Mirage "swam" through the hallway, nice enough to lower himself so Thundercracker didn't have to kneel in order to not hit the ceiling. He was only half-listening, as he had to telepathically connect to the main grid to do a routine check of the ship's cloaking.

Well, until Thundercracker mentioned Starscream. Right in front of the cockpit, Mirage transformed without warning, sending Thundercracker to the floor with a clang. Mirage knelt down and, with a confused tone, he spoke:

"Starscream?" Wasn't he...? Are there more Starscreams? Wait, someone mentioned a Thundercracker before. How long has Thundercracker been gone? With how little he seemed to know, it must've been for a long time. It's been a long time.

His helm hurt, so Mirage just shook it and stood back up, punching the code for the door to the cockpit and shuffling inside. He didn't even answer the question Thundercracker asked. He didn't know if he should respond.

More unfortunate situation as this little bot didn't know what was wide-spread news.

"The Autobots think they've won the Unicron Battles," Mirage started, sounding a little disinterested in his own words. "Began to hunt us Decepticons after Galvatron... went away. Something about trials, imprisonment, executions.. I was dead for most of the aftermath, but I came back. Like you must've... whatever your name is." Still don't know.

He glanced out the fixed window, spotting the planet that Nightscream, Snow Cat, and Demolishor had went down to, then back to the little seeker.

"We--my team--were Galvatron's right hand men. They want us dead. We're hiding until we can find other Decepticons.. or until the Autobots quit. Which ever comes first. Are you like us?"

Thundercracker shook the tiredness out of his frame, fluffing out his wings as he warped himself into a new dimension. Oh, this whole thing again. The same slag as always, over and over again. Oh how utterly boring.

His commline was filled with Starscream demanding to know where he was, and Skywarp frantically asking if he was off world again. Of course Thundercracker was. It was those two that he was doing all this slag for of course.

There was another ship up near the horizon. Thundercracker shifted into alt mode, and soon he was at a large glass window. Not particularly caring who was inside, he released a boom of sound with a flap of his wings, shattering the glass instantly.

Smoothing out his feathers, Thundercracker let himself inside.

Mirage was relaxing in the cockpit, sitting on the captain's chair, reading another one of the downloaded romance novels he saved onto his datapad with his pedes propped up on the control panel. Right as he was about to click for the next page, the alarms began to blare-- loudly.

The speedboat shot upward, dropping his datapad. Green optics brightened in surprise, Mirage turned to the screen and quickly shut off the alarm. He squinted at the projected map of the ship and saw the flashing red image of one of the east hallways. Mirage sighed and stood to his pedes, transforming into his boat form, before flying out of the cockpit. Curse the others for being out... it just had to be his turn to manage the ship while they went scavenging, hmph.

It took only a few moments-- perhaps just a minute-- but Mirage transformed back into robot mode when he reached the hallway. In his robot form, Mirage walked down the corridor, lazily glancing over the walls and doors and windows... until he reached a segment he rarely ever passed down.

In the corridor, he saw a little blue flyer with big white wings. Surrounding them were many shards of glass, some floating into the abyss of space. They kind of reminded him of Nightscream. "Who are you?" Mirage called out; his deep, resonant voice loud in the somewhat tight hallway. He took a step, then another, and another, until he stood right in front of the small bot. He didn't feel very... intimidated. The fins on his hips jerked as he moved once more.

"Why are you here?" Mirage bent forward a few inches, raising his purple claw to give the blue seeker a tap on the faceplate. Wow, they were short-- they reached his upper-thigh and that was it. "Decepticon or Autobot?"

Thundercracker cocked his head at the taller mech… He looked like he turned into a boat of some kind. What was he doing all the way out here?

… Better question, what was Thundercracker doing all the way out here? He shook off the remainder of the shattered glass still attached to his feathers.

He transformed the outer glass of his cockpit away to reveal a faded Decepticon symbol. Thundercracker didn’t even remember when he had started to cover it up… Primus he was so tired.

“Not much of anything that should concern you,” Thundercracker said sharply. “…On a technicality, I am a Decepticon. And what are you?”

What he really wanted to ask was WHO are you. Such a strangely colored mech so much larger than he was, also out here in the middle of nowhere. The other bot had no insignia that Thundercracker was aware of.

Alright, chop chop. Not here to make friends. Just to get in and out and get back home before Starscream had another … Whatever was going on with his paranoia and that pain inside him.

Mirage's green optics focused on the faded symbol, helm cocked to the side once more. This seeker must be running from the Autobots too, he rationalized, explains why he barged in like that.

Standing back to his full height and retracting his servo. He redirected his attention to the shattered window, glass still floating about. Ugh. "I am a Decepticon too." Mirage finally answered, "I am called Mirage. You can stay here until the Autobots go away..." He's guessing that the flyer was running from them, at least. Autobot signatures haven't been picked up by the ship for cycles... He should make sure the ship is cloaked, again.

He turned his back and walked away, not to much in a hurry as he found a door and punched in the code. He stepped inside, rustled around, and came outside with a large window pane.

"Why did you come in this way?" He mostly spoke to himself, returning back to his spot in front of the shattered window, "My team should be back soon... have to fix this..." Mirage kicked the remaining glass, letting the shards float out into space as he tediously replaced the heavy glass. He missed the first five times, but eventually got it into place.

Oh, right, the seeker didn't answer his question... "Who are you?" He repeated, knocking on the glass to make sure it wouldn't break. "A servant of the Alpha Q?"
