Hello, I am Thistle or as you know me, The Mad Mage. The dragon told me that this would be a good way to release pent up anger. Feel free to ask me anything.

Greetings and Salutations. First, I would like to credit @ask-mithrun for the inspiration to create this blog.

Second, this is obviously a slightly out of character ask blog and I am thistle (He/they)

Any purple text will be out of character

General rp rules (for if you want to RP on DM's,)

1) I do have an outside life so don't spam too much

2) that's it, I'm okay with NSFW (so long as there's a plot and it's not like weird ((not with thistle I play other characters too)) )

What was your favourite game to play with Delgal as a child?

Oh! Oh!! Delgal taught me how to play knights. We'd spar with wooden swords and ride faux horses!! It was such fun!!

In turn I taught him mancala, and other logical games...I also taught him how to play the lute

thistle, what are your other hobbies other than this blog and looking after your dungeon? Do you like to paint or dance or sing? Did you paint any of your living paintings? :3

I used to be a jester...I did all of those things..sing till my vocal cords were raw, dance until my feet hurt. I played instruments until my fingers were numb.

It all seemed somewhat pointless and hopeless until Delgal showed me that I could be more than a court jester. I could be family.

And about the paintings...I may have painted them...but I can't quite remember...

are you going to give Delgal a hug when you see him?

Oh I'm sure of it! A big hug!!

Thistle, are you going to tell Delgal off when you find him again or are you going to celebrate right away?

I don't think I'll scold him too much...I am inclined to think I'll celebrate upon first laying eyes on him.

But once the euphoria dies off, I will ensure he understands just how worried he made me.

I've been doing this for a year now...? That's a bit disappointing...I could have been manning my dungeon.

It's been many months and I'm still working on the diorama, I've switched mediums several times and now I'm lost somewhere on the fifth floor, apparently the layout moved while I was studying one of the smaller buildings, then there was a cockatrice and I heard a lot of chaos in the building to the left of me. Are you dealing with unwanted guests? People disturbing the peace of the dungeon lord don't go in the diorama >:((

(ooc I'm still working on it, I've decided to switch to Lego as the format to make the dungeon, I'm still trying to find a scale to do it in)

I've been trying to figure out how to bathe the red dragon....she's been making a mess of my study whenever I try and clean her magically......

I have been dealing with Intruders as well, but I fear they've been getting smarter. I hate when they jump over the holes I try and capture them in.

If you were given a chance to get your revenge on the demon, would you take it? And if so, what methods would you use?

I'd swipe that opportunity up in my claws. I don't know how I would achieve my vengeance but I know I'd make it torturous.

So, for the diorama, should I try to make like, features that move like they're real? Lights? Doors? I know I'm planning on putting a movable shadow under the water to represent the kraken :3

Also, for the Golden Country should I recreate the dilapidated part that's accessible to all only or should I also try to make the version you've kept thriving?

Please, don't over exhaust yourself. Do whatever you see fit, though I can't hide my excitement at the prospect of a little moving diorama!

As for the Golden Country, I won't deny that both are a part of the dungeon so I'll let you do whatever you see fit

If you were given a chance to see a life where you would've grown "naturally" alongside Delgal and the rest of the family (+citizens), would you?

(in other words, not become a dungeon lord lived a peaceful life, and grow older.)

I'd take it in a heartbeat..I wish I had declined his wish to learn magic. I could have saved him, I would have been happier..in a way what happened to him was my fault

are there any books you liked to read with delgal when he was younger? did you help him learn?

I don't think I can remember....but I know for a fact that I read him elvish story books...ever since he's known just a bit of conversational elvish....his father was a bit upset when his first words weren't in English, but in elvish..I taught him but he also taught me things too..

I'm gonna get the big diorama question out of the way first, if you don't mind..

If you had to pick only 2-3 monsters from each floor to include, which would you pick?

Aw man, that's a tough one..I know the kelpie and undine are some of my favorites!! And the golems and walking mushrooms..there's lots of floors and my memory is really struggling right now. I'll do my best to update this post whenever I think of some more!!

Thistle will make sure to publish a list, but he currently cannot think of all of those monsters and is very sorry

I'll get started on the diorama asap! Would you mind if I sent occasional asks about the features and denizens of the dungeon as to honor the creator in my replication?

(ooc I'm actually making a model of the dungeon so I'm using these to get inspiration :3))
