I wish it were under better circumstances that i remembered the password to this place but hey y'all.
Turns out all i needed to get back here was for Destiny to end service...
A lot has happened since i started playing and ig i wanna at least share my experiences.
First and foremost i suppose some form of reintroduction is in order.
Heya gang! It's me! The one who runs the blog but much like destiny has grown and changed over the years so too have I. I've been out and proud of being a trans woman and ace for almost 7 years now so yeah Variks, at least in this blog, is trans now.
Anyway.
I started playing Destiny solo from the very get-go. No-one around me even wanted to play it so one of the first friends i made to play with was through this blog! He still remains my oldest friend and i'll forever be thankful that i decided to grind House of Wolves with him and his mum that fateful day. It genuinely changed the trajectory of my life.
As the years went on and i entered college i met more and more people and would raid well into the early hours of the morning. Making some incredible memories, videos, and friends along the way.
I remember getting so excited when Destiny 2 was announced and when that live action trailer for it was released that i became somewhat of a Beastie Boys fangirl. I missed the pc beta cause i was visiting a partner in Pennsylvania at the time but hearing about all the stories and fun that my friends had made me even more excited.
Once Forsaken came out and fixed many of the issues with the game I met even more wonderful people and began to thrive and learn to raid lead. (I've not beaten any of the more recent raids since i just don't know enough people to get a team together anymore. :( )
Through my school years, college, university, and now my 20s Destiny has been there for me through thick and thin. I'd log in and just sit in orbit or somewhere in patrol people watching for hours when i had nothing to do. The game really did change my life and set me on a path to learning about queerness, coming out, travelling across countries, and who i am as a person. I'm heartbroken that things seem to be over for now but i'll be forever thankful to Bungie for every single update they made to the game over all these years.
I'll still be around, just not really on this blog, I've been disconnected from this place for so long it'd feel weird trying to jump in and play Variks again with so much in my life having changed (As well as his return in Beyond Light adding a load more stuff to him as a character.)
If you've ever just wanted to hear me talk about miscellaneous stuff I tend to post a lot more on Bluesky and stream on twitch nowadays.
I love this community and i really hope this isn't the end for us.

I went down memory lane and looked through my archived posts and i think what's getting to me most is that I was so close with so many people in this community but now half of them are inactive or just gone.
I might try and reach out to some of them but please if you've ever wondered "Hey where's the Variks mod been this whole time i miss them." Shoot me a message.
I’ve lowered the price to £120. Even if you don’t want it yourself, pass it on to someone who might. At this point I’ll take whatever I can get. Please help me out.
