I'm fine with getting old questions that were answered pre-2017. It's possible I have a different answer for those questions now or I can elaborate more on the question.

A Meowstic carrying a satchel bag was walking through a forest. She was looking for berries, but wasn’t having much luck. While she had been through the area before, it was only to pass through, so nothing was familiar to her. Either the Pokemon living in the area picked most of the berries already or she wasn't looking in the right spots.

That’s when she spotted another Meowstic, Cinnabun to be specific, nearby. She approached the unfamiliar Meowstic, hopeful for some assistance.

“Um, hello! Hello there!” the Meowstic walked up to Cinnabun and waved. “Are you from around here? Do you know where I can find some berries?”

Cinnabun, who was simply passing through, stopped when the Meowstic spoke to her. She stared at the Meowstic with her usual stoic expression, taking notice of the bandages wrapped around her ears. The Meowstic looked at Cinnabun with pleading eyes and a gentle smile. Finally Cinnabun pointed towards some bushes.

“Past those bushes,” Cinnabun said. “Continue walking and you will find an Oran Tree.”

The Meowstic smiled. “Thank you, thank you! I didn’t think I’d have so much trouble finding berries around here. By the way, you have very nice fur. I’ve never seen anything like it on a Meowstic.” She realized she was stalling herself and chuckled nervously. “Oh, um, sorry to bother you. I’ll be on my way.”

“Those bandages…” Cinnabun said suddenly, pointing at the Meowstic’s ears “…Are your ears injured?”

“Oh this? No, no. Well…not physically injured,” The Meowstic said lightly touching one of her bandaged ears. “My ear organs are defective so I can’t control how much psychic energy is released from them. They sometimes react on their own so I keep them wrapped up.”

“I see…” Cinnabun said. “My ear organs are also defective…”

Cinnabun: It is likely an inherited trait, but I cannot say for certain, as I do not know who my parents are.

Cinnabun: I cannot control my psychic energy output through them. As a result, I do not use my ears for psychic abilities. It is too dangerous.

Chrysa: I can fit in smaller spaces, food I collect lasts longer, plus I can float so reaching high places isn’t an issue for me.

Chrysa: It’s close enough that it doesn’t take long to travel between the two areas though.

Cashew: Sigh...no...My paw still gets sore after using Brick Break.

Chrysa: Don’t worry, Cashew. I’m sure you’ll pull off the move eventually.

Cashew: My dad taught me the move, but I always get a sore paw after using it. I’m thinking if I practice, I’ll build up strength to use Break Brick without getting sore afterwards.
