To the mass population of the Tumblr post,

I have been advised by a select few of my colleagues that having a social platform such as this one would help get my name out to the public, and would also be a great way of sharing my thoughts, hence, here I am!

I know not of how I didn't not find this site sooner, perhaps due to my strenuous day-to-day, but nevertheless, I have made my mark, and henceforth I shall update the masses as much as my time allows me to!

I am a Continental Army soldier (and currently serve as Washington's "Right Hand" 😉), and I study finance in my free time. I am a bit of a writer if I do say so myself, so please ask me any questions you may have! I should answer all that I can during my free time!

Upon the post of your recent argument against the king, I believe I should warn you—though your opinions on the revolution I do support—directly attacking the King on his own front in such a wordy manner isn't exactly the wisest decision.

Take my humble advice—I suggest you let the King believe what he wants, and you focus more on the battlefront than infuriating the king in his own terrain with his own followers ready to charge at you. Believe me, you'll get more places if you keep your words to a minimum and your opinions to yourself.

Dear Mr. Burr,

I do extend my gratitude for your consideration, yet I must speak plainly, for recent days have grown most alike to a grey sky brewing a storm within.

I must not deny the truth that your belief in standing to the side in silence causes more injury than aide to the idea you say you believe in. Though you vouch that you stand with the cause, the stand taken is merely standing to the side, displaying your unwillingness to take a stand and declare your position with more than words in the confines of this letter. Only when shielded with privacy do you ally with the Revolution, however the idle lack of action in which you take speaks louder than any secret discourse.

Know that reticence shall not rid the colonies of the taxes thrust upon us by the British, nor will it free us from the tyranny and conflict igniting amongst the revolting nation much like a flame to a wooden pile. The side of silence would only allow the injustice to further continue, halting any progress in store for the future of our nation.

I do not doubt that you stand on the side of freedom, as any good man like yourself would, however your lack of action in the eyes of others would appear as disguised surrender. The cause you state your alliance to requires one to take a stand, rather than take a seat on the side of neutrality.

The promise of independence from the chained grip of Britain is a cause some men would fight and fall for, but remains nothing but a distant hope dreamt by one who stands for nothing.

To follow up on a recent discussion, I should tell you first before anyone else, but I am NOT involved in a... romantic... relationship with John Laurens. You should know of my dear Eliza, whom I should love and cherish for all my days. That is who I love. The public seems to be up in a whirl about me and John, which although we are close friends, we aren't exactly... well... THAT close. I tell you this because I know a man like you wouldn't take the irrational side of everyone else.

I do admit I was a but suspicious at first of the rumors, but rest assured, I believe firmly in your relationship with Ms Elizabeth. John is a bit... well, you know how John is. He can be a bit loud at times. But regardless, you two seem to be great friends- and just that. Great friends. Nothing more.

I do question where these rumors sprouted from, but rumors are only a way for the public to find a new topic to feed their gossip. There's always one thing or another that the people seem to latch onto to make life feel more interesting, which is why I tend to stay out of those type of matters.

The order of which you speak is but the controlling hand of a crown-wielding dictatorship, governing our affairs to thrust taxes upon us to drain us of our very last penny. Whenever the funds of the monarch run low, you send your debts across the sea and expect these colonies to slave away, that our sweat might furnish your luxuries. Every cent spent to serve your empire is paid by the very paychecks of our own workers. Such taxation is not the mark of a fair government, but of a tyrannical monarchy that drains its subjects for its own purposes.

As well, must we discard the massacre of Boston? Five colonists murdered in broad daylight—solely because your soldiers stood armed against unarmed civilians. Pray tell, what order is maintained by the slaughter of the innocent? That outrage alone revealed the unlawfulness of your authority, and the fire of resistance has burned bright ever since.

Though the British troops may appear far more skilled with the proper rules of war and scarlet coats amongst the men, it will take more than "properly trained" regiments to defeat an army built off of committed colonists fighting against tyranny and for the liberties of a nation without such a monarch.

The only possible answer that could come to mind is my skill for writing, since I have been told I am quite the impressive writer (not to give myself the sin of pride), but I wouldn't exactly consider that a power rather than a skill. Hence, I have no idea what such powers the public would believe I have.

Especially ones over food items like your bread rolls—I am no cook myself, nor do I know what powers I could possess to hinder the success of your bread rolls. I do apologize if I might have caused any disturbance to your cuisine, but I am not sure what I could have done to provoke the unwell results of your bread rolls.

In case you weren't aware, anon, the burden of pregnancy is solely entrusted to the female sex since the dawn of time, whereas the male is formed with such structure to perform the duties of providing and protecting. He is not, like women, crafted with the womb, and therefore not crafted with the ability of reproduction. The male’s body, deprived of such organs, is incapable of creating and nurturing the fetus within his own person.

The ability to conceive infants is a duty assigned to woman, whose body, through its very structure, is adapted to this task, which the male's frame was never designed to perform.

Therefore, a man such as Monsieur Lafayette is not able to conceive such a thing. And that wouldn't even be bringing up the key factor that I am a man of 19 years, much like the Marquis himself. Hence, even if he were crafted with the ability of childbirth (which as previously stated, he ISN'T), he wouldn't be able to bear me, since we are the same age.

I must assure you, though Eliza and myself might have been engaging in kissing, it certainly did not take place in a tree. The trees are reserved for high ground in battle circumstances, and they are quite rough to climb, if I should say so myself.
