Merry Levimas!! Christmas?? Ah, Christmas…

Hope you’ve all been well! I’ve been crazy busy with grad school (and discovering twitter) and ah, I’m leaving for Tokyo in 2 days?

You have to accept that some people are not made for deep conversations, or for holding you together when you’re about to fall apart, or for keeping you from unzipping your skin, or for talking you out of suicide, or to love you through the worst moments of your life. Some people are made for shallow exchanges, and ridiculous banter, and nothing more. And that’s okay. That doesn’t make them horrible people because they simply aren’t able to handle a storm like you. It doesn’t make you a bad person because you won’t divulge all the gritty details of your horror show. It makes you smart. You have to accept that there will be people that cannot give you what you need. It doesn’t mean they are not worth keeping in your life. You just have to figure out who these ones are before you’re disappointed. And you have to keep them at arm’s length. You cannot expect everyone in your life to understand, to be nonjudgmental, to get it. But that’s okay, because not everyone was made to impart wisdom, or wax-poetic, or speak on politics and the depravity of society, or discuss how crucial it is that the stigma of mental illness be abolished. There are times when you have to get away from all that heaviness. You have to. And you will need superficial conversation about Kim Kardashian’s arse, or a debate on the colour of The Dress. You will need those ones. So don’t go round cutting people off and dropping your friends. You need people for all your seasons. You need people or you won’t survive this.

Taste test result: Odinforce is far more fragrant and flavorful, though both are amazingly smooth for oral caffeine delivery systems. This is legitimately tasty coffee. I rarely take my coffee black because of the acidity, but these were surprisingly smooth (which is in line with a darker roast not necessarily meaning stronger coffee). I wish they sold the whole roasted beans; I’d love to grind these up fresh. (THEY DO.) Dad likes the more flavorful Odinforce best while I’m more partial to the smoother Death Wish, but I’m very pleased with both. Overall, I’d marry this coffee, probably.

Update: I think I’ve made a minor logistical error. I think you’re not meant to drink a cup and a half of each in the space of 10 minutes.

Anime Expo Casting Call for Eren

UPDATES! I’m officially on board as Levi and we’re specifically looking for an Eren cosplayer in his default outfit! 3DMG IS NOT REQUIRED. Extra points if you’re over 5′5.

Even more fun, I was just asked to recommend an Eren, if I had someone in mind. If you’re going to AX and you have an Eren cosplay, send me a note here or on my personal (shikarius) ASAP.

Time commitment is two one-hour sessions per day. You get a free 4-day badge and snacks! Looks like our job is to be booth babes take pictures with con goers to promote a card game expansion. I’m personally very excited <3 If you have any Eren friends going, kindly send them my way.

M’afraid so. Generally speaking you’re representing a show, so you should be immediately recognizable as such. Counterattack and official spinoffs like AoT Junior High are also probably a no-go.

ACParadise is running a casting call for Eren (EDIT: AND MIKASA) at AX! The event hasn’t been fleshed out quite yet, but 2 hours commitment a day gets you an AX badge and possibly other stuff. I’ve always had fun working with them and it’s a surefire way to meet people. Details on fb and on acp. Tell your friends!

EDIT: Mikasa request just went up! I’m actually not seeing an Erwin, either so. Ahem. Volunteers? There’s a slight possibility you’ll get stuck with me, too, so.
