SUPER late to the party, hope this thing's still on! Really looking for dating tips, there's precious little solid info out there. I'm a 5'9" F, he's a 4'6" M. Been dating a couple weeks. Never dated a LP before but it is going great. I've read where there can be wariness if a tall woman seems too into it because there is this tendency for average-heights to fetishise. Hey! I don't know if this blog is still active but if it is: I'm currently planning a story that has a character with dwarfism. Do you have any general advice on how to write her respectfully and accurately? Also, since she's only 15, when do little people generally stop growing? If it's after 15, how much shorter than her adult size would she be at 15? And do you have any advice on little people of colour specifically (she's native American) or know anyone who might? Thanks in advance!

Don’t use the word migdet. Don’t mention she’s short in every sentence. I’m 4”8 so that’s tall for a little person and I hit that around 16. There’s like 300 types of dwarfism my dude, so what type does she have?

As for POC, just follow the same rules you would follow for other POC characters

With absolutely no malice, only ignorance - are you able to drive a standard car, or do you need modifications? The same kind of thing as a paraplegic would need to drive?

Me personally, I just move the seat all the way up. Other Little People tend to use pedal extenders. I know a member of my local chapter group that modified a Harley motorcycle for herself and I think she’s like 4′0.

I'm finding it hard to actually date. I have dwarfism as well and it's like every guy that approaches me has some fetish. I dare not to do tinder or okcupid cause I know it will be the same thing. Do you have any suggestions on dating?

Thats rough and a valid struggle my dude. 

Honestly I’ve had some success with tinder. It’s easy to get rid of any creeps on there. So my takeaway: Don’t let creeps stop you from living your best life.

Hi there! My family and I want to dress up as the Game of Thrones characters this year for Halloween. My brother wants to be Peter Dinklage's character and pose on bended knee for pictures. I'm worried that this might be offensive? But I'm really not sure, since it's a fictional character. However, I know that little people are not fictional characters. I saw another cosplay costume idea, where the person took a cardboard box and covered the lower half of his legs. Too far? Thanks for your help!

I think those are both fine to be honest. The costumes aren’t demeaning like those were it looks like you’re riding on a little persons shoulders. If I wanted to look tall and wear stilts it wouldn’t be offensive. You have my blessing for both ideas haha

Hi, I'm not a native english speaker, I have a question about terminology and I was wondering if you could help. I have a congenital disorder and its main symptoms are proportional dwarfism and joint problems, I'm 4'8". I know what I would call myself in my language, but not in english. Is "little person" the correct term for me or is it only for people with achondroplasia?

Little Person is the term for people with dwarfism. 

Achondroplasia is the type of dwarfism. And there are many types of dwarfism but that one is the most common.
