this "varchie ended up in california" agenda is pathetic because they didn't even get a 1x1 emotional scene in the finale... flop
it's even more pathetic my dear that you're here on your own account to tell me that after the show is over and it ended with the confirmation that despite what betty hallucinated/imagined archie saying, that ship never saw each other again after high school :| and that the emotional scene they got, which wasn't even real, was only there so y'all could learn that archie lived in the same state as veronica for the rest of his life, which leaves room for interpretation.

Alzheimers has other symptoms as well - including hallucinations. So if Betty Sid have it, that would put the ENTIRE finale into question. I highly doubt RAS wanted us to question the whole thing, only a few bits and pieces.
trust that i know very well from personal experience what alzheimers entails. and yes, like you said, he wanted to give people stuff to theorize and think about, and that's why their theory is as valid as ours, but it's not "more rooted on canon" like they say dhshd.
the entire finale was in betty's "imagination/hallucination" though, or her limbo, or whatever, and that day didn't happen irl the way it was presented to us. and it's interesting that talk between ba was there only to tell us that they didn't end up together actually, while simultaneously giving them an emotional moment (that b had with everyone). she could have dementia but she also says the memories are coming back to her more and more as jug walks through. that's how she remembered where v was buried and archie's life. trust that they don't show glimpses of archie because they didn't want anyone to know Who is the wife.
but! that being said, idc about their theory. good for them. i have mine that i fully believe in (and it's varchie in california, bh "special friends") and that's fine by me lol.

but if you were to think about it, why wasn't archie the one guiding her through those memories, then? why didn't you get his pov so we knew? why would ras go out of his way to give them an imaginary goodbye and send BH and VA to live in the same state, giving them open ending hints, if...? why didn't jug say something? ppl with alzheimers forget stuff, they don't make new stuff up, so why would she make up an entire life instead? anywayyy many questions.
i mean, i don't mean to disprove their theory, it's as valid as anyone else's. they want to believe that? cool. but you do have to bend canon backwards for it.
