Moonlit Oath. Ooooh... He’s quite angry this time. I never see him due to him wishing to fit in with the masses, nor do we really get along. I don’t mind it. Gives me more time to my studies and such, though he’s even more of a busy-pony than me.
Perhaps braiding your hair, then wrapping it in a bun, is easier?
“I normally just push my mane into a bun, but it is getting too long for it these days. My magic is not suited for mane-styling before you ask. Last time I tried that I nearly singed all of my mane off.”

Ash: “Who would leave a foal in this kind of place? I’ll have to find someone in the castle to care for her. I’m nowhere fit to have a foal so small under my care.”

Ash: “Frankly, I don’t know you. And you don’t know me. Plus I’m not exactly the ‘social’ type which might enjoy that type of activity. Please, leave me to my studies.”
How long have there been Keepers to the Sun and Moon?
Ash: “I do not particularly care how long it’s been or how many ‘greats’ are between me and my ancestor... But according to the stories she was one of the unicorns who came with Princess Platinum to Equestria. And one of the few of my family line to connect with Him enough to become one of his Keepers. I do not know if she could hear the Moon at all, as her diary was lost a long time ago from my family’s heirlooms, but I did hear from my grandfather that she had seen the Sun’s mortal form once. Though if I’m honest... my grandfather does not have the best memory and he likes to blow things out of proportion.”

Ash: “I wonder sometimes about the creation of our world, but I suppose that is too dull a subject for ponies to have books on these days. And even if I could talk to Him again... I do not believe that He would explain on who He is further.”
Ash: “I can’t figure it out. Is it a clothing item? Why have I not seen them? It sounds like it would be frilly. Though I’m not positive as to why ponies feel the need to wear clothes, it’s not like we need them. Maybe winter clothes for the cold months, but other than that everything else just seems... extreme.”
So the Sun and Moon are intelligent beings, or something along those lines?
Ash: “There was a legend when I was a filly. One where the Sun and Moon used to take physical form to choose their Keepers. And that they even used to have the power to move themselves, or so the stories say. I do not know if these stories are correct, but I can say for certain that they have a voice. I heard Him the day I got my Cutie Mark.”
Mod: It came to my attention that I have over fifty of you wonderful people following me, which I can’t thank you guys enough for. I hope Ash is interesting to you guys, especially since she’s very fun for me to draw~

Ash: “The Exalted Sun and Moon are not ‘objects’. We were called ‘Keepers’ because of our duty to their Dance across Equestria’s sky, not because we held power over them. Keepers must only be affiliated and chosen by the Exalted Ones before they are allowed to even grace them with our magic. The Princesses Sun and Moon have enough power and were born to be their Living Guardians… especially as the Faith of the other Keepers was failing.”

Mod: Well, if you look into her conversation with Celestia that I posted last night, then it should be pretty clear who “he” is.Who could Ash Dawn have a connection to that is only beaten out by the Princess of the Sun herself?

Mod: Ash was one of the Sun Wardens who raised the sun before Celestia’s time, which I have in one of her answers that I did a while back.As for who “he” is… well if you haven’t caught on then I’m not gonna spoil it. x3
Ash: “Books are the best way to gain more knowledge about subjects you wish to know more about. Then there are some books that are simply for entertainment, which I have a good collection of in my room.”
“Oh, and with that cake, good sir... if it could be mint-chocolate-chip flavored that would be wonderful. Thank you~”
Ash: “I never saw the Moon Princess that day. Because I was spending time with the sun, Celestia came to me after she had already brought the news to the others. I guess the Moon Princess did not want to step into something that she did not truly understand. If you really wish I can tell you the conversation we had that day, so sit tight and listen in.”

“Yes... we have. The Crystal Empire has been lost to us, but Sombra has been taken down from his position of power. That is not why I am here, however...”
“You wish to ask me to give up Him to you.”

“You are an easy read, Sun Princess. He has connected with you, in a way He once did with me. I have heard it from Him already. I am to no longer be one of his Keepers, as His True Bond is with the Alicorn of the Sun.”
“Ash... Won’t you miss it? The others did not seem to take this to heart, but you and I both know they did not take pleasure in their duties...”
“I will never miss it, because it will never be gone. This Bond makes me who I am. Just because I am not allowed to assist in waking Him each morning does not mean I will not be able to take joy in his awakenings.”

“Sun Princess?”
“I could give you the power to stay with him as long as you’d choose to. Luna may not agree with this decision, but she’ll understand someday. Will you ascend and stay?”
“You ask me to gain the power of an Alicorn, as you and your sister were born with?”
“I know it might be a tough decision but-”
“I only want the lifespan.”
“-what?”
“I do not want the symbol and status that comes with being an Alicorn. If there would be some way I could stay by Him for all of my days, that would be enough. He would be with me each day to explore just why my magic is the way it is. Simply speaking I was going to ask you for this blessing for some time now, as I knew you and you sister would take over guidance of the Exalted Sun and Moon.”
“You never cease to amaze me, Ash Dawn. But yes, it is possible to give you immortality instead of ascending you to an Alicorn. I cannot guarantee that your magic capability won’t increase or you won’t experience other changes, but I promise to do what I can.”
“Thank you, Sun Princess.”
“I am just glad that I do not have to lose you to time, Ash.”
