Things To Know About My Cuphead AUs
Christianity is the main religion in these stories.
NO SWEARING. Only “heck”, “banana oil” or any 1930s slang. And mentions of h3ll.
All ships will be straight. And Cala Maria x Mugman, Baroness x Cuphead, or anything boss in a relationship with the Cupbros won’t be in this AU. Along with Chalice and of course, no incest. (READ 10) (⚠️SPOILER⚠️ Cala x Brinneybeard will be cannon tho-)
Some elements of child abuse and verbal abuse will be in the story and they won’t be very lighthearted. I’ve taken inspiration from “I Can Only Imagine”, “A Child Called It”, “The Lost Boy” and much more so please read the tags and the warnings if you’re uncomfortable.
Scary deceptions of the devil, demons, h3ll as anything of the sort. The devil will be NOTHING like he is in the series. Only the biblically accurate things and of course, his evil actions. Trust me, you’ll know what I mean.
War themes. It may or may not be VERY gory (but nothing gross or insanely scary), it just depends on my audience as the story goes on.
Human experimentation themes. Again, nothing gross but there will be verbal and mental abuse and basically anything you’d expect from a desperate mad scientist.
There will be a miscarriage for one of the characters..
There will be drinking and tobacco references (like the game).
There will be some political marriages. And unfortunately, there will be incest to “keep the bloodline pure”. In the 1800s, that was common, but don’t worry, I’ll reduce this on the characters.
My goal for these AUs are to be the most accurate ones based on the timelines and the cartoons themselves- along with my ideas. So it won’t be EXACT, but hopefully accurate to real history.
Some scary themes? Like unsettling imagery (as some 1930s cartoons were).
