like... let's say I made an android named ASA (Automated Service Android) who looked less human and operated on a lower standard, including bouts of denial of orders. would you still see it as an equal, or would you be far less tolerant?

Well, how about this comparison. If you had a friend who you were very much aware was not as intelligent or talented as you, would you stop being their friend?

Yes. I mean... The way you look and act. *she smiles* You seem far more human than a lot of people I've met.

That is the objective, ma'am. To integrate as flawlessly as possible so interfacing is much easier.

Never met...? An android? I didn't have any say in the selection of the colour, but thank you none the less.

I have watched that film. I quite enjoyed it.

how would you feel if you were confronted with an "inferior" android model (not necessarily one from your line or what-have-you)?

It is not their fault that they were made at an earlier time, or with less efficient technology. I'm sure that they function to their best capacity.

David, have you read David Mitchell's novel Cloud Atlas? I thoroughly recommend it. I think that you'd enjoy it.

I have not. However I will remember it for the next time I have access to new books.
