Code Lyoko 10th anniversary rewatch: EXTRA (Season 1)
A joke circulating includes this episode (Cruel Dilemma) as the one that begins a long series of misadventures for Yumi, lasting five episodes: “pick on Yumi week” (fallen into the Digital Sea; imprisoned by a Guardian; chased by an alien; targeted by a satellite; chased by samurai armour).

A ding is heard in the sky as what appears to be the blazing frame of the King Fossil falls out of a portal that could have only been made by a certain teleportation device...
"What is that?" Odd questioned, looking up at the sky.
"I don’t know…" Aelita shook her head.
"Let’s go check it out." Odd said, then going off to where the object in the sky was falling, Aelita following.
"I guess you really are our Yumi, huh. Well, then it’s great to see you. Another member of the lost Lyoko Warriors, found." Odd replied, with a warm smile.
"Welcome back, Yumi." Aelita smiled warmly as well. "But… why is your hair graying? You’re only… 16?" she questioned, with some confusion.
"Eh, well..." Yumi said, sighing. "Once upon a time..."
"And that's how I ended up here!"

"Are you really…?" Odd questioned, with a mixture of hope and surprise evident in his expression.
"If you really are from our world, then tell me if this story is familiar to you." Aelita said, intent on making sure they weren’t mistaken. "Some time ago, there was a major bug that caused all of us except for Jeremie to be able to transform to our Lyoko forms on Earth, with all our weapons, abilities, and powers. Some time after that, there was a huge and powerful XANA attack that threw us out of our world and into different dimensions, separating us."
Yumi thought it over a bit. "Well... yeah, that happened..." she replied nonchalantly. "Yep, definitely rings a bell... I just blocked it out over time..."

"Sure looked like one." Odd replied, with a nod and a light chuckle.
"What was that spaceship you were escaping from, anyways?" Aelita asked, curiously. "And also, you wouldn’t happen to be from our universe, would you?”
"That," Yumi said, pointing to the smouldering remains of the King Fossil, "was a huge fish battleship I went around in. And I... am your Yumi." The salt-and-pepper-haired teenager smiled.

"It is Yumi…” Odd whispered back to Aelita.
"But the question is, is she from our timeline? Or is she from another parallel universe?" Aelita replied, giving Odd a skeptical look. "Well, there’s only one way to find out…" the blond beckoned for Aelita to follow along as he stepped out from behind the tree.
"Hey there, Yumi." Odd said, with a small smile and wave. Aelita stood beside Odd, smiling and waving as well, but not saying anything.
"Hey," Yumi replied, finally steadying herself. "WIld ride, huh?"

"Someone’s coming out!" Odd whispered to Aelita, as they were both peeking from behind a thick candy cane tree.
"Wait… it looks like… like…" Aelita muttered, narrowing her eyes. "Yumi?!"
Yumi stumbled around as her Pokémon stepped out, looking around. The blackette had no idea she was in Sugar Rush again, so she was confused at why everything was colorful.
"Hello...?"
