Mal giggled a little at Dizzy’s excitement, instantly feeling her energy levels rise by merely being near the peppy little girl. It always shocked her how nothing about the Isle tarnished how Dizzy saw the world, or saw Mal herself when she’d never exactly been a good role model. A slight smile snuck onto Mal’s face as she put her hands on Dizzy’s shoulders to stabilize the little girl.
“This is your day, we can do whatever you want, Diz. Did you by any chance drink coffee this morning? Or eat the entire candy bar in your bedroom?” Auradon, Mal thought sarcastic, candy everywhere. Same as Carlos had done when they first came.
Dizzy struggled to stay still, she was almost always constantly moving and her excitement made things even harder for her to control her movements. As Mal’s hands drop to her shoulders she giggles and tries once more to control herself, shooting a wide and happy smile to the older girl, while to most people she’d quickly utter out a small apology, to Mal she just smiled knowing that it was okay - she got why some people were afraid of Mal but Dizzy - no, she wasn’t afraid. Mal was more like.. a protector, she rarely got mad at Dizzy and that made things okay, it made her.. special. And special wasn’t something Dizzy knew all that well in her life.
“Nope! Not today, I got a huge stomach ache last time - so no candy before lunchtime now.” She happily chirps, giggling and shaking her head quickly, “Also - what is Coffee? Is it like the that chocolate that you can actually drink?” Her eyes widened behind her glasses as she looked back at the purple haired girl, wiggling once more but managing to not bounce around this time, “Can we go on an adventure then? And oh - can we get some more coloured pencils? Mine are all tiny again and I’ve been working on some new designs, I need to show Evie them but do you want to see them later too?”
