This was really difficult to answer I must admit. I'd never heard of such a relationship. I see nothing wrong with it though if your friends seems to know and understand what is going.

also it matters on who may have started the fight at times. Though both parties are at fault for keeping the fight up. If you're the one starting them you may need to look into bettering yourself. If it is your friend you need to tell them and let it known. This will only help them in the long run.
