Can any of the girls in your family (including you) sing well?
We can all carry a tune quite well as we all have perfect pitch. I hum a lot and it is something I am gently and lovingly teased about by my family. Alice and I are the ones who sing the most around the house.
I understand you're compassionate, and so am I. I have always been that way, and sometimes I do things like offer people my seat on the bus, which means I have to sit on the edge of the seat without realizing it. With this gift also comes consequences. For example little things can ruin my whole day. If I kill a fly, or step on an ant, it makes me very upset. What's the worst part about being compassionate for you?
Compassion is a gift that's never caused me to think of it as something that has a "worst part." My husband is the most compassionate person I've ever known and I find no fault in that.
Do your children call you mom (or something similar)?
If yes, how did you react the first time they did?
It’s not a word they use all the time, and I can’t even say they use it often, but it means a lot that they think so much of me to use it at all.
When Edward first said it just slipped out of his mouth like it was something so natural. Rosalie said it in a moment of bonding. Emmett said it half teasing, half not. Alice said it almost immediately and then not again for a long time. Jasper said it after knowing each other for decades in a rare time when the two of us were alone.
I was surprised and touched with every one of those firsts.
Hi! What cast did you and Nessie see when you two saw Wicked?
We saw the tour in Seattle. Our Elphaba was Mamie Parris, Glinda was Ali Mauzey, and Fiyero was played by Andy Kelso.
i read your post about not being able to go to a nail salon due to the stark contrast between vampire nails and human nails. are you able to do your nails at home? does regular nail polish react differently on vampire nails than human nails?
Nail polish can easily be applied and taken off, but our nails don't grow and it would be impossible for a human to clip our nails so we just apply and remove polish at home.
When you met Royce King what did you say to him? What did he say to you? Also what thoughts were in his head? He is dead now, I'm sure he won't mind if you share.
I met Royce King at a charity ball to support the University of Rochester’s hospital and medical research. Carlisle was working there at the time and all three of us attend the ball that evening.
I met Royce when we nearly ran into each other as I was exiting the ladies lounge. I had just met his mother and had congradulated her and now him on his engagement to Rosalie Hale. It recently had been announced in the society pages in the paper. He was charming and offered to escort me to dinner, which I accepted. We chatted about how long I had been in Rochester, and his family and their success in banking and in business during those difficult financial times.
When we entered the ballroom, Edward started toward me and Royce went to his fiancee. When it was just the two of us, Edward indicated that Royce had purposely ran into me so he could meet me. He said Royce's thoughts about me were not very gentlemanly. I dismissed Edward at the time and even danced with Royce one time during the evening.
I apologized to Edward several months later.
When you and the girls went to go see SIX: The Musical, how did Rosalie react to All You Wanna Do (with her experiences being similar to K Howard's)? How did you react to Heart of Stone?
Also, have you seen Kimberly Akimbo yet? I haven't, but I heard it is *really* good!
Divorced. Beheaded. Died. Divorced. Beheaded. Survived.
All of the women in Six suffered by the actions of their husband and others who manipulated and betrayed them. We knew the history of these women and there are many liberties taken in Six, but that doesn't change how much they all were wronged.
I don't see any correlation between Rosalie and Katherine Howard.
Have you ever seen either the Heathers movie, the Off-Broadway musical, the West End version, or the Heathers musical pro-shot on the Roku channel? If you have, who have you watched it with, and what were yours and their reactions?
We saw the original film Heathers in the theater when in came out in 1989. I did not care for it then and have had no interest in other adaptations of that story.
Have you ever seen the musical Ride The Cyclone? If you have, what's your favorite song? If you haven't, you should check it out because it is such a good musical and the music is amazing!
I have not seen it and am not familiar with it.
hi! hope you and carlisle are doing well. do you two have any taylor swift songs that you'd consider your favorites? i heard you two went to the eras tour! 🩵
Hello! I enjoy the storytelling aspect of Taylor's songs, but when you look at her catalog her happy love songs are very youthful - appropriately so for the age she was when they were introduced - or relationships that didn't last. They're not necessarily songs that connect with our relationship.
But along came Lover and that's a song we've danced to quite a few times. There are aspects of Gold Rush and Style that make me think of Carlisle.
Other songs I enjoy a lot are The Man, 22, the last great american dynasty, Mastermind, Blank Spaces, Shake It Off, and Enchanted.
If you just 'woke up' as a human, but you were only a human for a day, what would you do for the day?
Eat a meal at a cafe outside in the sun and take a nap.
Okay, so one time you said that you 'put my beliefs and trust into the man who saved me, provided for me, and loved me unconditionally' and my guess was that you were referring to Carlisle. Now, here's my thing with that, that's kind of oblivious of you to say. I totally understand that with everything that happened in your past, you might be less faithful, but if you didn't marry Charles, you wouldn't have jumped off that cliff, and you never would've met Carlisle. This was all God's plan.
So marrying a man who abused and tortured me both physically and mentally, and also my newborn child dying in my arms that lead me to so much pain and grief that I wanted to end my life were all just part of God's greater plan?
That does not seem like the plan of a loving, caring, and merciful God and certainly not one I would hold in high regard.
And just to be clear, I first met Dr. Cullen at 16-years-old when I was his patient, which was long before I knew the horrors I would face in my future marriage.
Carlisle also would be the first one to tell you that he would rather I had a long and happy human life with a man who loved me and took care of me surrounded by our children than suffer the fate that I did. That is compassion. That is care. That is love. That is why I hold him in the highest regard.
You've mentioned that you used to sing in your church choir. What denomination were you in? Also did you ever get baptized? When you were human, and went to church did you believe Jesus was your savior or did you just go because that was just something people did? Do you believe that Jesus walked on the earth and was crucified to save people from their sins? Just wondering.
Like much of rural Ohio, my family attended a Methodist Episcopal Church, which today is part of the United Methodist Church. I was baptized there.
I grew up in a family of faith with Christian values and beliefs, so I'm sure that Jesus is our savior was part of it. It's not something that I have much memory of, but from things I do vaguely remember I know my family didn't necessarily follow all of the standards of the church.
Can vampires blow bubbles with gum?
We technically can, but it's not something we are prone to do. Venom and bubble gum don't mix very well.
Hey Esme! How are you going? I just wanted to ask are Garrett and Kate still together? Are they married?
I'm good, thank you.
Garrett and Kate are very happily together and committed to each other. They have not had a marriage ceremony, but they see each other as mates.
Without sharing too much for their privacy, can you describe your children’s most chaotic or embarrassing pictures? Thank you, hope you have a beautiful rest of your day :)
No.
There are some things you keep within your family.
