Garden Fertility Spell
Whether you have a flower garden, a vegetable garden, a fairy garden, or even a small potted houseplant, this spell is certain to revive plants on their last leg, or give them an extra boost in flower, foliage, or fruit production.
You need:
The body of a dead spider
A tooth from the right top jaw of a young deer (preferably removed from a skeleton or carcass rather than a live animal)
The right wing of a cabbage white butterfly
A tablespoon of rosemary
A lukewarm cup of green tea
A herb grinder
A green candle and something to light it
A mortar and pestle
A small glass jar
How to:
This spell must be started on the night of the dark/new moon.
When it is approximately an hour before midnight, begin the spell. If it is raining lightly as you perform the spell, it will be more potent, but rain is not necessary.
Cast your circle.
Take the rosemary and place it into the herb grinder. While you are grinding it, repeat the following:
“Goddess of the sun, infuse this herb with your compassion and care, so that my garden may flourish with love.”
When the rosemary is fully ground, place it into the mortar and pestle.
Next, you must take the butterfly wing and spider and place them into the herb grinder. As you grind them, repeat the following:
“Goddesses of earth and air, you shall take this wing and this arachnid as an offering. The spider and the butterfly, while enemies, work hard together to balance our ecosystem, and as they help the earth, my garden will as well.”
Take the ground creatures and place them in the mortar and pestle. You may be tempted to mix this with the rosemary, but you must refrain for now.
Add half of the tea into the mortar and pestle, then drink the other half. Before the drink touches your lips, mutter:
“Fertilitatis, messis, incrementum.”
Once you have finished the tea, you may mix the powders and liquids in the mortar and pestle.
Pour the mixture into the jar and say:
“Goddesses of fire and water, guide my seeds to the surface and provide them with sweet hydration so they may have the (most attractive flowers/best fruit and vegetables). Goddess of earth, give them all the nutrients they need to thrive, even if I may forget to help them along once in a while. And finally, goddess of air, when my plants have finished their life, do not spread their seeds so that I may collect them and start anew.”
Place the tooth into the jar on the left side. Screw the top on, shake it 7 times, and then put it somewhere that it will not be found by anyone except you.
You may close your circle now.
Slightly shake the jar daily and mutter:
“Fertilitatis, messis, incrementum.”
On the day of the next dark/new moon, you may remove the tooth from the jar.
Pour the remaining mixture into the garden soil (the green tea will act as a fertiliser).
If you are performing this spell on a single bed garden or any kind of single potted plant, simply bury the tooth in the easternmost side of the garden.
If you are performing this spell on multiple beds or potted plants, go to the nearest oak tree, bury the tooth on the easternmost side, then mark the spot with a fallen chip of oak bark.
That night, burn the green candle in a safe location while you sleep.
The next day, smash the jar and bury it 150 paces north of your home.
The spell is complete. Thank the spirits and go about your life as usual.
