Searching for a game! Game Found In Comments! 'Dreams Of Gluttony' [Keeping this post up for archival and removing the tags]
[Gen update you can skip this paragraph] Hello hello! It has been quite a long time since I've been active on tumblr or the funamusea fandom. I still love the games, but update on me, I have been currently heavily into the Postal franchise, which is kind of the reason I'm back here! :)
Anyways, I recently unlocked an old memory of maybe another rpg, or maybe a visual novel game? There was a character that looked like Fukami, which is the reason why I thought it was appropriate to ask here. I feel like it might be on ManlyBadAssHero's channel, but he has so much content and I'm sifting through my old devices and accounts, just everything since the time I knew of the game was of course 5-7 years ago when I was heavily involved here.
The game I believe had a sweets/candy theme? Like the characters were named after baked goods, but the designs didn't show it much. There were some horror elements as well, but it was in an anime style and cute for the most part, and mostly scare factor edge at the end like those games tend to love. It had almost, Alice In Wonderland vibes. Not in the art, but in the story. It was also short, I think it was a demo? I believe the main protagonist had dark brown hair, but then again Pumpkin Panic also had that. The sprite art was pretty tall, kind of like Funamuseas redone sprites with long legs, but not the same detail. The palette was kind of muted pastel.
Anyways, yes, there's a character in this game who looks an aweful lot like Fukami, and while I loved all sorts of games similar to Funa's at this time, I was especially drawn to this one for the resemblance. I was reminded by it from some fanart in the Postal community, and I just had sort of a longing to find it again. Also, his sprites were right facing. I can draw it later, but honestly it's fukami without the coat or tentacles in a more anime style, there's not much else to say.
If anyone can be of help I really appreviate it! I've had a lot of setbacks in irl and with art, but whenever I make more fanart I will post. I've improved my art so much in my time here, and I love this fanbase and media dearly for that. Thank you all for coming to askfukami, even when the art was trash and the answers were sometimes ooc. For how rarley I'd update... Gah, I wasn't a good askblog creator or artist at the time, but the support here was really touching. I was just a weird, lonley kid back then, figuring a lot out.
