I've been bi-curious for a while now but I don't know how to approach the subject. I've never been with a girl or done anything with a girl but really want to try. Do you think dating apps work? Or are random one night stands the way forward?

Dating apps are a good way to start and will help give you some sort of confidence to start off.

Recommendation of apps:

Tinder will hook you up for sure, It’s the most easiest app to use and you change the settings to any gender you wish, so I would recommend that.

Bumble is good and similar to tinder but girls have to message first(who ever swiped first).

HER is a lesbian app that I have also heard is good.

It depends what you are looking for and if it is just having fun then these apps will help when uncovering what exactly you want. Personally I wouldn’t have a random one night stand especially for your first time doing anything with a girl, but you do you boo and just make sure you are comfortable with whatever you find yourself doing.

it’s really up to how you feel it’s going and if you feel like taking it to the next level is what you guys are on then it’s something you need to discuss with your partner. Every relationship is different. I know it can be embarrassing and cringy to ask but it will give you a peace ofmind and you will be happy you asked in the end. Do it face to face obviously, when you guys are chilling or whenever you feelcomfortable to you. i am really sorry to hear about how are feeling and what is happening to you rn.

When it comes to horrible exs and relationships even after we leave that situation, there is some way that those people continue to have a hold on our lives and affect it negativity.

Even though this ex is spreading lies about you, that’s all they will ever be... LIES. People who truly know you will not judge or change because of what they heard.

I know it must be a draining and awful experience to be going through and I couldn’t imagine the half of it, but some people in that small town - will give you a chance and will see you for who you really are. There is going to be a lot of trail and error when meeting people, whether it is at school / work or whatever you are doing right now. But you and only you know who you truly are and you have to let that show and not let these lies and bs that your ex is saying become what you are label as. You have to make sure people see the great person you are and realise that your ex is the one who is the shit person in all this.

The people who seem to believe the bs and not even try and know you are people you can’t spend long dwelling over or try too long persuading.

I know it is easy said and done, but I am sure that many people around you would love to get to know you and others already love the person you are. Don’t let what is happening blind you from the fact that you are never alone and you deserve to be appreciated as a person,

However, if you ever feel lonely or just want to chat - you can always hmu in private.

I'm so fucking depressed and I hate the 'friends' I'm surrounded with right now but I don't know how to leave and get new ones because I've left school and currently don't have a job 😭

hi b,i'm sorry to hear how upset you are :-( Sometimes it is better just to leave people who are not good for you, even if that means you are alone for a while. Your own company is better than bad company of ours. You learn more about who you are and who you want to be around. About making new friends, maybe start (sounds very very lame) but like any like hobbie or activity around where you live, it is some way you will/can make new friends.I know url friends ain't the same as having irl friends but they can be people you can escape to when people in real life get a bit peak and annoying. famm - no doubt, first day is a roller coast of nerves. I think i cried bare that first day but honestly everyone is just like you! Everyone is going to be absolutely shitting it and desperate to make friends.

Everyone will be lovely and just don’t forget you are not going through this alone and you will kind of bond and get on due to the fact that none of you know eachother and it is a forced environment where you will just have get on and get to know each other.

I bet you are a great person, so you need to just be yourself 100% and people will want to get to know you. Just make sure to have as much fun as possible, be out there, let people get to know you, even if you don’t vibe with them straightaway, give everyone a chance. Half the people I would call my close friends at uni now, I didn’t like the first few weeks lol.

You seem to have found some really good friends on your course at university. it's something i'm worried about as I go to uni going in on my own to lectures etc - what can I do or what did you do to make such a good group of girls and boys? (this sounds weird but i see on twitter n snap lolol) x

Are you starting first year soon?

Honestly just try and get to know as much people as possible in the first few weeks, but the people you might meet at first will most likely not be the people you find yourself with at the end, which is perfectly OK.

Try and get to know your flat/ house mates as much possible, which I failed to do but thank god, I made friends with people before I even got to uni on those accommodation/ course facebook group chats - which is a good place to meet people and suss everyone out before the big day of moving in etc.

With course mates, depending on what subject you are doing - try and get to know people in your seminar / tutor group - as you will be with them most often.

Join societies!!! They are legit the best place to meet like minded people.

Go out/ be social especially in freshers week - you are going to meet hell of a lot people and you WILL make friends during this week for sure.

Don’t worry too much, I am sure you will be fine. Just be yourself and try and enjoy uni as much as possible.

I understand that starting conversation with anyone is a bit intense, especially if you like them. Obviously saying ‘hi’, ‘how you doing’ is the best way to start and carrying on to talk about interests you guys share, if known. Starting off simple is the best way to start a first conversation.

The pressure to come up with something smart or funny to start a conversation is what stops most of us from ever doing so. Just be simple and basic, which sounds shit but trust me lol.

If you know they like you too, they will be more than happy to talk and it will just naturally develop.

On the subject of meeting people bi/lesbian girls, sounds lame but maybe dating apps like tinder and bumble are the PLUG, even if it is just to meet similar people to you in a non-romantic sense.

I'm finding it hard to fit in with my group of friends at university. What can I do to combat this? I try and I try and never feel good enough!? Pleaseeeeeee help

In what way do you feel like you don’t fit in? You are beyond good enough, just because you may not be exactly the same as the friends, that is what makes you a special part of the group and I am sure your friends appreciate you so much.

However, all you can be is yourself and if you feel that you are not appreciated or don’t fit in, then maybe that specific group is not right for you. Not saying stop being friends with them, but try and mix with other people (there is nothing like too many friends).

I feel like in uni, you will go through quite a lot of friends/friendship groups and that is okay and you will soon find those friends that you can be 100% yourself without any worries.

Societies are always a great place to make new friends as they will share the same interests and you can do things you enjoy together, so maybe join one this year and see how it goes.

Okay, basically, what I said was that the trouble with my insecure was totally resolved (thanks btw, really). But... there's another problem. There're some moments that the conversation just dies, and who try to keep the conversation going? Yep, me myself and I. Always. Idk if it's anoying to her, but... That sucks that it feels like it is one sided and that you are making all the effort. I doubt she finds you annoying, maybe it is just her finding it difficult to come up with conservation or it is that she does not like using social media.

Maybe try and ask for her number and you guys could text? I feel that will show her how interested and willing you are to talk to her.

How did she seem when you guys were talking before the chat would die?

Hi love,Starting conversation with someone you like is always an anxious progress no matter the situation. However, if the girl likes you and you know that, gurllll you just have to go for it.A simple "hi" and "how are you" is fine, seems boring and uninteresting but if you know she likes you too, she will appreciate just the fact that you popped up. You can carry on the conversation with what you guys have in common, like depending on how you guys know each other - for example school, work etc.. that is something you guys can bond over and then the conversation will kind of flow and you can find out more about her. I am sure as soon as you guys start talking, the insecurities will die down.
