Yo, dudes, welcome to my little spot in Tumblrland. I make my living by wandering the wastes, looking for shit to sell, or jobs to do. I guess one could call me a Mercenary of sorts. ((Considering I already made a 'I'm back' post, this one feels a little redundant to make. But I realized how many 'come back!' asks I've received while I was on the unplanned break, and felt the need to do something with them (thanks to those who left asks during that time, and who welcomed me back & stuck around - you're all awesome!)

The 80's/90's jump-in-the-air-movie-freeze-frame thing popped into my mind so I went with it, and the parody of the "We're Back, A Dinosaur's Story" cartoon came soon after.

Anyhoo, this was something fun to do to acknowledge those asks (don't mind the imposters; they're there to balance things out a little better haha))

((This has been an ask that's been drafted for years. I changed it up from it's original sketch as that first one was far more ambitious than this one, and I've already spent weeks on this one xD.

I don't know what Tumblr will do to the full size image so I included a chopped in half version. I painted all the grunge and paint chipping textures, and used overlay textures for the ground/concrete texture.

The art I redid last night. Dimi’s face has always bugged me in this one, but the rest I liked. This is take three, and it was a little more involved than anticipated as I started noticing general anatomy stuff 🙃.

But in the end, I got something I’m happy with, so it was worth the time!

So will be heading back east soon? I heard some activities is starting up in Boston.

((This question is a little bit early to ask to get a response other than ‘no’ from Dimi.

But at the same time I’m super excited to answer it oocly :D.

I know not to trust rumors, but there’s one I’m really hoping is going to be true; that Fallout 4 will take place 10 years after Fallout 3. It’d work well with things me and Glitzkrieg are plotting, and it would be neat to do stuff with an older Dimi.

For her current storyline,  she doesn’t have any plans to go back East any time soon, and would move West if things around New Vegas weren’t working out for her. She’s definitely not eager to spend another 8-9 months on the road to return home, but if the whole timeline thing works out, there are ideas in the works that would force her to head East instead of West. But I won’t spoil those reasons just yet x3c.

But yeah, until we have more information about FO4, it’s hard to determine what the plans will be for Dimi.))

((Hello there, Anon!

Yes, this blog is still active. While I haven’t been answering asks (I do want to! I’m just struggling with my drawing skills at the moment, and I refuse to start answering IC asks with text-only; that’s what Dimi’s RP account is for anyway (dimiblaisdale@tumblr)) I have been reblogging a little, drawn exchange between Dimi and Buttons. However, it’s taken me a while to even draw a response to that :c.

I’ll reblog my latest response to that thread after I finish replying to this ask. I want this place to have more activity; but the art struggle is real, and it sucks.))

9 - Making 3 different expressions.

((Multi-purpose post! I had a couple ooc questions I never got to, and accidentally deleted one when I was clearing out my inbox; fortunately, I save all my asks in a sai file.

Anon #1: Dimi is actually a character I made up when I was 9 years old. At the time, I was making characters of my friends to draw, and based her off of me. Over the years, she developed into her own entity, and during that time I've tossed her into various fandoms for rp purposes, as well as original settings. Fallout's the latest I've done a lot with, but I've also really enjoyed playing with her character in a post-apocalypse sort of setting :3.

Anon #2: The terminal screen is a screenshot I took from my game, and edited in photoshop (tip: take a screenshot of a terminal screen with the least amount of text - it makes editing out the text easier). I then color grab from the text on the original screenshot, and type with the fixedsys font. Nothing too complicated beyond the editing part.

With those answered, I will now announce that asks are being accepted again :D. If you didn't read my last OOC post, Dimi no longer has any ties to being Courier 6; she's instead buddies with this Courier 6.))

Welp, when I posted that I was hopefully back to frequent posting, I certainly did not mean yearly posts.

I never meant to let the updates go this long, but I'm glad the closed ask box and lack of updates didn't deter people from following this ask blog; I hit 500 followers during the 'down time' 8)

Thanks for giving it a chance, and thank you to new and old for sticking around. This ask blog was never abandoned; life just got in the way.

For those who don't follow my other haunts on the internet, not long after I posted the last post here, I got offered a job and I took it. It's been good on the wallet, but not so good on the art production. Nearly a year since starting the job, I feel like I'm finally finding a balance between work, and using my free time/days off to be productive (I feel like I'm coming out of a bit of an art slump, so that's certainly helping).

Anyhoo, while I can't guarantee super frequent updates at this point, I would like to get the ask box open again, and maybe restart from a clean slate. I have some asks saved that are either in the process of having replies done, or have been tucked aside for future answers-to-draw.

I'll post when the ask box is open for sure, but one change I'm going to make (not that it really effects what I've done on here so far) is erase any Courier 6 status on Dimi, and establish her as a friend of the Courier (This courier in this case :3c).
