That is weird. A pony who doesn't exist just suddenly showed up in Ponyville, and even in your basement, existing. One theory is that it's possible this pony must be from another universe. There are cracks in time and space in some universes. They can't be seen, and if someone goes through it, they get transported to the other side in the universe it's connected to. She must've come across one and ended up in your universe.
