This is a side-blog is made to put the text heavy RP's that came from asks that have been sent from the characters of askiceboundlopunny, or rps that continue from the asks they have recieved.
Clementine@Silvan: "I guess the bell didn't help as much as I'd have hoped." The trainer spoke as she glanced around. Continuing when she sees it was just them.
"I know you're not in the mood to. But talking about things that bother you can help a surprising amount." She looks towards Ken. "It looks like you already have a friend I bet is willing to listen. And if you feel alright to do so you can talk to me as well. Maybe even over some tea or something. Oh but where are my manners?" She states as she places a hand over her chest. "I'm Clementine. Sorry for not introducing myself sooner."
Silvan looked over at Clementine as she came over to talk to them. Their eyes were tired - they were getting tired as the day wore on. They realised they should probably get some sleep soon.
"Vee uee eeveeve veve ee," (I've been talking about things,) they said somewhat flatly. The mention of a soothe bell, however, they pulled their jacket open a bit to reveal that it was still hanging around their neck.
"Vee veeve ue vee..." (Tea would be niceâŠ) they weren't an avid consumer of human drinks, considering up until recently, they had no way to acquire it. But they had had some with their various pastries purchased over the course of time, and found that the basic black or green teas tasted good with a touch of sugar and moo moo milk.
"Eue vee eevee," (I'm just tired,) they eventually explained, and then leaned over on the table to rest their head on their folded arms.
Clementine understood Silvan as if they were speaking english and had looked at them with a sympathetic smile. "I can certainly see that." She states jokingly. "And I'll go order us something from one of the stalls here and see how you feel afterwards? Sound good?" She offers as she turns to Ken. "Would you like me to get you something too?"
I dropped the conversation I was having with the locals as soon as I saw the spontaneous gathering stormclouds, followed by me making a mad sprint towards the center of the storm that was manifesting.
Of course I let my eyes off of the stupid rabbit for ONE moment and she started causing shit. Who else is capable of creating lightning storms of that caliber?
When I arrived at the scene and saw Miyako about to unleash an incredibly powerful Boltstrike, I realized that I needed to stop this before she glasses her entire surroundings. No one is worth doing such an attack except for another Legendary, and the purple Mienshao below her was the target.
So I charged my own Blue Flare and launched it at her to intercept the attack, causing the energies to collide and explode in the air - diffusing the inevitable nuke that was about to strike down with the fury of a reckless Zekrom.
And when I walked up to her smoking form of course I verbally tore her a new one, since there were NO circumstances where her actions were warranted. When she told me that this whole thing was just a spar? My fury only increased further.
Of course I also refocused my anger at the Mienshao - the one for enabling Miyako, albeit FAR more restrained. The fact that she isn't too worse for wear now that I can look at her better shows that she's a lot stronger than I initially gave her credit for, but that doesn't excuse this.
When she started explaining her case, my eyes narrow slowly overtime as my fangs grind. It didn't matter to me on whether or not she always wanted to fight Zekrom, it's the fact that Miyako initially said no before eventually accepting the Mienshao's prospect of a good fight.
And it's not a matter of believing, my eyes allow me to see all truth and lies. So the fact that not only did she not speak a single falsehood to me through it all, she also spoke truthfully on wanting to fight me as well.
This girl is insane.
The flames in my second maw shift to condensed draconic power, preparing a highly concentrated Dragon Pulse.
She may have held her own against Miyako, the Mienshao is still a Dragon-type. One good hit with the full power of Reshiram should be enough to take her down - especially with the intent to neutralize.
As the humming in the maw intensifies with a loud whine, my blue eyes begin glowing brightly as a rumbling thrum escapes from my throat...
...only to die as I remember where I am.
I let out a long exhale and close my eyes, letting the collected energy to disperse before I open them.
A fight is what she wants, I can't let myself do the exact same thing that Miyako got pulled into.
"Nice try." I flatly say, crossing my arms as I look at her unamused. "There will be absolutely no more fighting." My eyes narrow a fraction. "Period."
My gaze drifts over to Miyako's prone form as she lets out a groan of pain.
She'll recover.
"For what it's worth? It's impressive you could hold your own against a Bearer." I begrudgingly admit, the words tasting slightly bitter as I acknowledge the Mienshao. "Seeing the...surroundings at least."
The place is an absolute wreck, with countless craters and debris all over the place. Some parts also look to be blackened from Miyako's electricity - and what seems to be residue draconic power unleashed by the Mienshao.
"Regardless, it doesn't matter if there is no one around to get caught up." I continue, my sapphire eyes looking to meet the Mienshao's own teal orbs. "This is still damaging the environment. We shouldn't be fighting to begin with." I raise my voice slightly, so that Miyako knows I am singling her out. "ESPECIALLY since we are supposed to be keeping a LOW profile!"
Miyako lets out a huff of discontent as she slowly manages to sit upright on her knees. "I get it, Yinomi." She mutters. "Don't need to drill it in to me. I hear you loud and clear. Sheesh."
My clawed hands threaten to clench at her dismissal, but I don't push it further.
"Anyways, no more fighting." I say to the Mienshao, my tone leaving no room for argument. "You got your fight, it shouldn't matter if it's finished or n-"
My words slowly die in my throat when I notice a thick fog suddenly rolling in like a powerful wave, engulfing the three of us - signifying the presence of the third Bearer who has now arrived.
My piercing gaze allows me to make the silhouette of Iniko as she approaches us, her deep blue eyes shining like a pair of stars in the mist. "STAND DOWN!" She shouts loudly, concentrated Fairy power pulsing through her being with a barely contained Dazzling Gleam. "This is your only warning!"
I can feel the mist sapping at my draconic essence, weakening its power. It's clear that Iniko is fully prepared to take down all of us, fully expecting to be required to subdued any and all rampaging draconic Bearers.
Which would've been necessary, except thankfully - and surprisingly - I was able to calm myself before a second fight broke out.
"I've gotten it all under control, Iniko." I point out to her, gesturing to the fact that there's no combat going on. "We ARE not fighting. No need to go 'Anti-Dragon mode' on us."
Like a switch is flicked her eyes widen before quickly glancing between me, Miyako, and the purple Mienshao. Upon realizing that she came prepared for no reason, her expression becomes very sheepish and embarrassed.
"...Ah..." She exclaims awkwardly, letting out a nervous laugh. "...My bad." The Fairy power surrounding her form fades, following by the mist thinning before ultimately disappearing completely - and with it the Dragon dampening effect it had.
I let out a subtle exhale to steady my nerves, since I'd be the last person to stop an Iniko who is fully prepared to go 'Dragon Slayer'. While she isn't Corrina, she's still probably the second best when it comes to dealing with Dragon Bearers.
At this point Iniko realizes that there isn't just me and Miyako here, seeing now that she notices the purple Mienshao. "...Hi, sorry for the display earlier." She says with slight embarrassment. "I hope this didn't ruin any first impression you had on m-" She cuts herself out when seeing Miyako all battered up. "Oh my!"
The Medicham quickly sprints over to the sitting Lopunny before kneeling down, placing her hands on Miyako as she begins engulfing her injuries with Heal Pulse infused waters.
"I'm fine." Miyako protests with slight embarrassment as her injuries begin to heal far more rapidly than they already are. "I was already gonna recover in no time." Her expression averts. "...Thanks though."
With the three of us here, the Lopunny soon realizes that that me and Iniko haven't been introduced. I personally couldn't care, but it seems to bother Miyako enough.
"So..." The Lopunny says slowly to the Mienshao before offering a grin. "Linda? These are my Sisters." She gestures to Iniko. "This is Iniko." She proceeds to me. "This is Yinomi." With that she then indicates to Linda. "Guys? This is Linda."
While still healing Miyako's injuries, Iniko offers a friendly wave.
I only give a stiff nod, not bothering with any pleasantries.
Somehow she seems even more pissed off after explaining everything. And judging from the power I feel coming from her she's not looking to hold anything back.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
I clench my fists and broaden my stance in anticipation for her to fire at me. My eyes locked with hers wearing a confident grin.
Only to furrow a brow as I find myself still waiting.
And waiting...
It was only about 10 seconds, but it felt a lot longer. Watching her and the fire in that second mouth of hers. Before I saw that it started to die out. Which caused a bitter wave of disbelief wash over me
You're kidding me...
Hearing her finally speak again, I couldn't help but clench my fists and turn around to swing at the air out of frustration. The force from it punching another hole in the cloud above us.
Yeah... There goes any steam I had left to fight now.
DAMN IT!
Before I could get too frustrated, she continued. Acknowledging the fact that I was giving Miyo a good fight. Sort of... But then I furrow a brow when she starts making points as to why us fighting was a bad thing. And really, it didn't make sense to me.
I know a lot about legendary pokemon. Especially the dragons of my home region. Which is why I find it funny that the bearer of reshiram is talking about damaging the environment of all things. Even if I do get where she's coming from.
"I get what you're saying. But if you ask me, Thunderstorms happen naturally in places like these don't they?" I point out. "For all the nearby mons would've known, one just kicked up. And it's not like these fields aren't going to heal overtime. Isn't there something about the legendary trio of Thundurus, Tornadus, and Landorus doing similar things together to make healthier land or something?" I ask rhetorically. Giving a look around the field with my hands on my hips. "I little rain and time and this place will look as good as when we came here."
I then look straight into this hatterene's eyes. "But Reshiram's capable of burning away rayquaza's domain with the heat they can create. And scorch marks like those..." I state, pointing out the charred dirt spots where the bearer stood while she was yelling at Miyo. "Will take a good bit more to recover from. Not to mention that big hole you blew in the cloud from that attack you threw." I continue, craning my neck to look up at the now two holes in the clouds above us. "That's gonna be harder to explain away than just being some harsh weather." I point out, looking back into her blue eyes.
She probably isn't gonna like hearing her own points being used against her, based on what little I've seen of her already. But to be honest, I'm fine with that given she just cheated me out of one of the best moment of my life.
Although something still confuses me, if they're stronger than me, why would they be worried about getting spotted? Surely they could handle whatever would try to go after them right?
As soon as I opened my mouth to ask about that though, a thick pink fog blew in that I could actually feel a little bit. Which told me exactly what it was. And I could sense the new mon that is must be coming from too. As well as where they were in the fog.
Then I heard her voice. And it was a loud one. Giving a warning that had my body at the ready for whoever just showed up. Only to ease myself a little bit when the hatterene answered back.
And thinking about it? It makes sense that a fairy type would come with these two to make sure they don't run wild. And judging from the looks of her. She must bear the power of one of those island guardians I heard about. Tapu Fini I think this one is.
I should look into those alolan legends more at some point.
I then relaxed fully, but couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at how quickly she went from loud and imposing to polite and timid. I also noticed the fog fading along with her shift in attitude. And I managed to catch the hatterene's short breath of relief as well. Telling me that this medicham was definitely brought with them to keep them in line. And if I'm being honest. Fighting this one probably wouldn't be as fun as fighting Miyo or the dragon of truth. But I guess I'll never know.
At least she noticed me a lot faster than the haterenne. And she's... apologizing? For what? I simply furrow a brow and cock my head slightly in response. "I uh... Don't worry about it I guess? It's not like you actually did anything." I admit, confusion pretty clear in my voice as she was tending to Miyo.
I was going to ask for her name next, but before I could, Miyo went ahead introductions.
I give a smile, a nod, and two fingered salute as she gestured to me. "Honored to meet more mons chosen to wield the power of gods." I state with a proud grin as I look to Iniko. "Guess we dodged a bullet thanks to your sister here getting a hold of her temper before she started another fight." I stated jokingly as I pointed to the moody truth bearer. But now that they're all here... That question I was going to ask Yinomi still applies and I could get an answer from any of them.
"There is one thing I don't get though." I start, folding my arms under my chest. "Miyo here proved to me that she's powerful enough to do just about anything." I furrow a brow as my eyes move to Yinomi. "And you said you had to keep a low profile. I really just don't get why." I continue as I cock my head. "Most mons would revere women like you three. Sure you might get some unwanted attention. But you have the power to deal with whatever and whoever might come after you right? Especially put together." My curious gaze sweeps over the three of the bearers in front of me before it lands back on the haterenne. "So is it really worth getting that angry over? It's not like you guys have anything to be afraid of right?" I finally ask. Looking at the three of them.
When Linda first deflects my Dragon Claw with her Iron Tail I don't let myself get fazed, nor do I think too hard when she wraps said tail around my wrist.
As she attempts to spin me and throw in the fire punch, I extend my free hand out and unleash a blast of lightning just as the punch attempts to impact me. The two explosive elements collide, sending me straight to the air.
This isn't like last time though, Linda. I'm in control.
Utilizing the lightning that my form is wreathed in I immediately change my directory, my form propelling through the air like a living missile. When she breaks the Stone Edge and throws it at me, I have my form twist in the air before catching the projectile with my arms, only to throw it straight back at Linda with even greater momentum.
With that my form zooms through the air, circling Linda with ever growing momentum. My wings are only used for controlling my direction, it's clear that I'm keeping myself up in the air through electric power alone.
Linda has managed to take every hit I've delivered to her so far. She even took a Bolt Strike directly by stopping me and taking the impact. At this point if I want to leave a direct mark on her, I'm going to need to put every bit of power in my next attack.
For a draconic gal like Linda, I'm gonna need more lightning to make it sting.
A lot more.
My body continues to do large circles around the Mienshao, every rotation getting faster and faster. With every single lap my body gathers even more charge from the surrounding storm, my form leaving afterimages of electricity as if my form itself has manifested into a lightning bolt.
With my body having gathered as much charge as I could, I cease my circling and shoot straight into the air, only to hover high in the sky. I look down at Linda with my body crackling with so much energy that my black skin has turned white. The storm clouds circle around my form, lighting snaking across the bottom of its surface.
At this point it doesn't matter if you're dragon or not. Nothing will get off unaffected with how much power I'm holding right now.
"Let's see if you're still standing after this." I mutter to myself, sparks escaping my maw.
With that there is one bright flash as lightning claps from the storm, then my form shoots down towards Linda like judgement from Zekrom herself. I wrap my arms around my form, utilizing my entire body to strike Linda with the most powerful Bolt Strike I can muster.
As the air around me literally burns from the condensed power within my very flesh, my face breaks out to an almost feral grin. This is it. All or nothing. Either Linda takes the hit and manages to remain standing, or she'll be crushed the ultimate might of Zekrom.
See if you can survive the truest might of a Bearer.
As the distance between me and the purple Mienshao closes rapidly, something further off suddenly catches my eye.
A flash of blue.
...
Blue...?
Even with how rapid I'm moving I'm able to just make it out...
A... beam of pure blue concentrated fire, having been shot straight from the adjacent forest and is making its way towards me just as fast as my body is flying.
With the sheer power from that beam of flame, I immediately knew who's responsible for it.
And it's too late for me to change direction now.
"Shit..." I manage to mutter just before it impacts with me.
The superhot flame mixes volatilely with the pure electric power my form is wreathed in, leading to only one result:
A devasting explosion.
There is a bright flash around me as all of that power detonates all at once like one giant supernova, the blue flash of an explosion being so intense in the sky that the literal clouds I've summoned are parted, creating a literal hole in the storm.
When the explosion ends I find myself in free fall, my smoking body smashing into the ground not too far away from Linda with enough force to crater it.
One would think of it a miracle that I even survived such a blast intact, but I guess you can thank the fact that I'm a Bearer of a Legendary Dragon. If not for my Dragon resistances, I'm sure I'd be in a LOT worse of a condition than I am now.
I let out a low groan as I look up with half-lidded eyes, my black skin several shades darker from the burns. Even with my vision being blurry I'm able to make out the distinct white form of a certain Hatterene making her way towards me, her expression certainly being one of pure rage.
"Are...you fucking...SERIOUS?!" Yinomi's roar echoes across the field, her second draconic maw burning with a mixture of blue and purple flames. "I turn away for ONE FUCKING SECOND and you're not only getting into fucking fights, but you're about to level our ENTIRE FUCKING SURROUNDINGS! What the fuck happened to being inconspicuous?!"
"It's...just a spar, Yinomi." *I say weakly, struggling to get onto my hands and knees.* "It wasn't really anything serious."
Yinomi's left eye twitches.
"A spar?" She repeats, her face darkening as I watch her clawed hands clench into fists so tight that she's drawing blood from her palms. "You did all of this...for a spar?"
I cough up some blood, managing to just sit up now as I look at her sheepishly. "Y-Yeah Yinomi, just a spar. Nothing more."
The Hatterene's claws dig into the ground, only for the pressure radiating from her to increase tenfold - causing spiderline cracks across the ground.
"I thought that you're just putting some poor fucking sap out of their Xiomara-damned misery, seeing was happening." She rumbles in a low and quiet tone as she slowly closes the distance between us. "Yet in reality...you were just about to atomize this entire field for 'just a SPAR'? Did I hear that right?"
At this point it's clear that Yinomi now realizes that it's just not me here, seeing Linda not too far away from where my smoking form impacted. Immediately the Hatterene changes focus, turning on her heels to face the other dragon.
"You." Yinomi rumbles, a deep growl thrumming in her throat like that of a primal dragon. Her blue eyes flash with power and barely contained fury. "You enabled this."
Not an accusation. A statement. Now Linda is finding herself on the receiving end of this clearly enraged Bearer of Truth.
I drive another power up through my stone edge that Miyo sent back at me flying back at me as quickly as I threw it.
I thought so. She can fly. And she's pretty damn fast too. A normal mon would be flustered by such speed. I can feel the wind from the circles she's running around me gently moving my ponytail around. But I don't let her after images phase me as I stand ready to catch her when she decides to move in.
Only I find myself looking towards the sky instead as I follow this living lightning bolt.
The electricity crackling off her body is pouring into the clouds that I see gathering around her as she's burning so bright from the energy covering her that I can feel its heat from all the way down here. It's making my heart race with excitement as I feel my grin widen in anticipation.
She's definitely putting everything into this one. So I'll give her everything I've got too.
My arms glow a bright purple and the muscles all over my body flex and expand from the energy coursing through them. "This is gonna be amazing." I think out loud as I prepare myself.
I've got three power up punches behind me already, the power of two being enough to stop the lopunny in her tracks with ease. And now that power is going to be magnified even further by a move I rarely ever need to use.
I was going to save this for later in the fight to close it out. Few have taken blows from one or the other. But I've never had to use 'em together. And yet here we are.
"We're about to see how tough you are." I utter with a low rumble in my voice. My body lets out a roar at Miyako instinctively, challenging her to come at me with everything she's got. With it turning into laughter from the joy that this fight has been giving me. I then broaden my stance and rear my arms back to swing at the living lightning bolt that's hurdling towards me with boosted Superpower.
The greatest moment of my life is just seconds away and I've never felt more ready. More alive.
...
Huh?
Through all the excitement, my ear twitches as I suddenly feel something else coming. And fast.
It all happened in just a few seconds...
I glance to the side just in time to see a beam shooting through the sky. Blue and of fire. Moving too fast for me to do anything about from where I'm standing. And it's aiming straight for...
I had to squint and shield my eyes from the bright flash that came from the explosion that's leaving a light ringing in my ears. And once I got a good look at what happened. I watch in disbelief as I see Miyo plummeting, not in lightning, but in smoke.
...
Wha-...
What just happened?!
All I could do was stare wide eyed at the crater she was now laying in silence. My smile gone and mouth hanging open from me trying to process what just happened as well as the whirlwind of emotions swirling within me.
But before I had any time to do that, I hear a new voice. An angry one at that. And when I turn to see who it is, I remain shocked as I see another surprise in someone that has the look of reshiram.
She must be one of Miyo's sisters. It'd explain where that powerful attack came from. Although she doesn't seem to notice me as she approaches Miyako. So I'm left standing awkwardly as I watch her start yelling at my sparring partner, still trying to sort though the emotions I'm experiencing and figure out what I should do. Part of me wants to say something but the other is still stunned from everything that just happened.
I genuinely don't know what I should do here.
The look on Miyo's face isn't anything like how she's acted so far. Aeeing her like this is making me feel a little guilty. Since she wouldn't be getting chewed out right now if it wasn't for me. But at the same time it's also making me feel both frustrated an angry for her the more I hear her sister yell at her. Because I don't get it.
What did we do wrong?
We weren't gonna kill each other, we're out where no one else can get hurt. And we weren't going at it with more power than we thought the other could handle.
Is this why she initially turned down the spar? Because she'd have to deal with this if she got in trouble. This hatterene is pretty pissed. I can clearly feel the heat coming from her. And she's acting more like her mom than her sister.
Then all of a sudden I find that anger directed towards me, and it actually made me flinch. I huff a bit of smoke through my nose afterwards in response and put a smile back on as I stare her down. I'm think going to chock that up to her having the power of reshiram and being caught off guard from this whole situation.
I always wear a smile to show my opponents confidence and a lack of fear. So often in fact that I do it out of habit sometimes. But given who's in front of me right now, I expect her to be able to sense that I am actually a little nervous. But only a little.
She has the power of the dragon of truth within her. And that's power I respect.
But legend or not. I'm not gonna abandon Miyo here. So with my smile I straighten myself up to respond. "I didn't enable this. I asked for it." I firmly state correcting her. I'm still on the high from the fight and the extra energy from me power up punches are still running through me. So as I'm talking, I'm ready to react to this hatterene should she try and strike at me.
"Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to fight Zekrom and when I saw your sister, I saw what might be the only chance I'd get to do so. And at first she turned me down. So I suggested we both go out here where we could go at it and not have to worry about hurting anyone." I continue explaining, gesturing to the field around us while keeping eye contact with her. "And we also set some rules so we didn't kill each other. Starting small and gradually building up as we went."
I then fold my arms under my chest as my smile fades into a frown. "So what exactly was the problem? I've taken every hit Miyo's thrown at me up until that last bolt strike you stopped. And I bet I could've taken that on too." I proudly claim. My grin returning once again. "And if you don't believe me, you can see for yourself. I'd love to also get to fight the power of the dragon of truth too today." I offer, taking a wider stance, ready to fight. Because damn it, my heart is still racing from the fight that got interrupted. And I need to get this outta my system.
Though should she try to attack me at any point while I'm talking, I'll stop to try to counter attack before I finish what I'm saying.
If she tries lunging at me, I'll block a strike with my tail like I did Miyo's dragon claw and aim a punch at her face, driving it into the ground with enough force to make a crater underneath us. Splitting the ground open from the impact and out from crater.
And if she tries to fire an attack at me, I'll smash my fists into the ground with a superpower that would kick up a massive plume of dirt spanning a couple dozen feet around me and easily reaching higher than the trees in the nearby forest. The force from it will blow her and Miyo back. And as it does I'll clear the dirt and dust away by clapping my hands together with thunderous wake up slap so I can see how this hatterene responds from the edge of the crater I'll have just made.
If she's gonna fight, I'm gonna make it quick and not hold anything back. I'm fresh from a fight with the power of a legendary. I'm not looking to die because I underestimated the power of another.
I feel the concussive force around me unleash from my impact, my grin widening from the sensation of its destruction. My mind is almost in a haze from the excitement, the thrill of combat causing my heart to thrum in my chest.
And yet despite it all, something lays in the back of my mind.
Doubt.
I've been ignoring it for a little while now, but at this point I really need to realize it. Linda so far has very much proven herself to be very capable, however at the same time I can't help but feel as if that I should savor this fight.
There are so many things I want to do - things that I can't really do against my fellow Sisters who have had ages to familiarize themselves with me. As much as I want to show Linda a good fight, a part of me is wanting to still hold back in hopes of savoring this experience. I don't want this fight to end too soon, I don't want to go overboard on the off-chance that Linda might not be able to handle it.
As I continue to find myself conflicted as the sphere of energy around me clears, I don't even realize that a large chuck of debris that Linda hurled at me is right at my face till it's too late.
My body attempts to react, but even with my heightened speed I quickly realize that there's nothing I can do when it's already inches from my head.
It smashes into my face, exploding into shards of shrapnel that shower my surroundings as it sends me stumbling. Sharp pain of the cartilage in my nose breaking sets my nerves on fire, the injury causing blood to spill out rapidly like a river and pouring down my face.
Despite my vision being blurry, I manage to make out a flash of light ahead of me. Disoriented and unsure if I can even dodge whatever is coming, my body reacts only on pure instinct and feel.
I wreathe one of my fists in pure lightning power before thrusting it forward just as the Dragon Pulse reaches me, the electrical punch just causing the energy to split and strike my surroundings - causing multiple explosions behind me.
Even with my own electrical power having coated my arm, I can feel the skin burning from the effectiveness of the Dragon attack still.
I stand there breathing heavily through my mouth, the stinging sensation in my nose and arm slowly turning to a throb as my Legendary genetics already begin the process of healing my injuries.
...Wake up, Miyako.
You keep telling yourself that she's proving herself to be something more than other mortals, and yet here you are...underestimating her. Of course she reacted easily from such an attack, you've done this multiple times before so it's obvious that she's figured out how to react to it. Her reaction speed is also top notch, even off-balance she'll immediately follow up with someone - be it utilizing her tail or surrounding debris when launched into the air.
Sure she is mortal, but she is not weak. She has truly proved herself to be extremely strong with amazing reflexes, stop treating her like she's something fragile.
My smile is gone at this point. With the flow of blood thinning at this point I wipe my face with my arm.
No more doubt, this girl in front of you deserves to see how a Bearer properly fights. She can clearly take more than what you've been dishing out at this point, so stop the bullshit.
It's not every day when a mortal meets a Bearer.
The humming within my tail starts intensifying further, lightning beginning to crackle more frequently across the surface of my skin.
Make this worth her while.
The sky above us begins darkening as storm clouds start manifesting, blocking out the once clear day as the rumbles of thunder fill the air.
With the distinct smell of ozone being evident in the area, the whirring in my tail has reached a frequency high enough to be akin to a plane engine. My eyes are glowing now, the orange spheres locked on the purple Mienshao.
I have no words to speak at this point, the wakeup call having turned my disorientation into a laser-sharp focus. Even though this is just merely a spar, it's clear that Linda wants to show me what she got.
I need to do the same too. For real this time.
With the steady flow of concentrated power in my veins and the pulsing in my tail, I know for certain that I'm not holding myself back anymore.
I raise my hand into the air, my claws outstretched to the sky to act as a lightning rod. With a bright flash a powerful bolt hurls down from the sky and strikes my form, its energy coating my frame entirely as my blackish skin shifts to a bright blue.
"Let's go." I say to her.
With that instant I take one step towards Linda before launching myself at her, streaking towards her with the speed of an actual lightning bolt with the full intension of slamming into her with my Bolt Strike.
Whether she takes the hit or avoids it I'll immediately discharge the lightning around me with a small explosion. Following up I focus my internal power into my claws, the sharp razors lengthening with red light as I start slashing at her repeatedly with deadly honed Dragon Claws.
A few things went through my mind when the sound my dragon pulse exploding behind Miyako hit my ears.
First is how what she keeps choosing to do continues to surprise me. She didn't block my dragon pulse, or even try to dodge it. Instead what did she do? She chose to punch the damn thing! And split it doing so!
This lopunny really is something else! But... there was something that had me wonder about her response there. And it came from a smell I picked up through the dust and ozone.
Blood.
Not sure if it was the power I got coursing through me now from those two power up punches or not. But that chunk I threw definitely hit and hard enough to make her bleed. Which tells me that it is definitely possible to beat her. But I can see that she must have some sort of healing ability because as I see her standing up, whatever was bleeding, stopped already.
Either way, I need to keep pacing myself. I can't get carried away just yet. I'll get to go all out here soon with how Miyo keeps stepping her game up. My grin broadens and my pupils narrow from the excitement at the thought. I want this fight to last. But I also want to win. And it'd be rude if I didn't give us both enough time to enjoy ourselves. But I also know better than to underestimate the power of zekrom. Which Miyako's done a great job proving she has so far.
Speaking of which. I notice clouds suddenly appearing above us followed by Miyako raising her arm up to the rumbling sound of thunder. And when that lightning struck the rabbit in front of me, if just for a moment, my confident smile was replaced with a look of awe. As that surreal feeling came back again with what was in front of me.
Her body is glowing, electricity is arching and crackling off her. And I can feel the energy pouring off of her too.
Could it be?
This looks like the fabled move of Zekrom that my mother and the golurk of the tower back home would tell me about. And from the look on Miyo's face, I can tell she's not playing around anymore. So it must be...
I smile eagerly as I realize. It's Bolt Strike.
I really shouldn't...
I just said I need to keep pacing myself if I want to beat her. And I already took a thunderbolt to see how strong her electric attacks are. Which still stung despite my resistance.
But there's no guarantee I'll get another chance like this again. The chance to fight zekrom's power at all was just a dream before I met this lopunny. And I've got a boost in strength from the power up punches too, so I'd definitely be able to take it. And I got something for her if I don't take it well.
It'll be fine.
It's not smart though. She can heal faster than me, as I just saw. And even if I can take the hit, I should be saving my stamina for blows I can't dodge.
I stand there with my heart and my mind conflicting with each other for a moment before I snap to attention at the sound of Miyako announcing that she's coming.
There's no more time. Get ready.
I hold my stance, waiting for her to move. And the second I hear her feet kick off the ground, the muscles in my back tense, I widen my stance, plant my tail across the ground behind me, and thrust my arms forward to catch Miyako by the shoulders.
All in the second and a half she took hurdling towards me.
And I catch her with a boom, stopping her in her tracks, my body not moving an inch. Thanks to my strength being magnified by the power up punches I got off, the bolt strike feels a little lighter than the first blow Miyo threw at me and I this time my arms aren't shaking either.
WHAT A RUSH! But all the force has to go somewhere and I felt it go straight into the ground, which I felt break apart and upheave behind me for a few seconds before another loud bang managed to push me back a bit. An electric explosion came from the lopunny which I was expecting because Bolt Strike is more than a simple tackle.
It did break Miyo free from my grasp though, and left my body a bit tingly with a light ringing in my ears. However it didn't break my focus.
She did it again...
I've noticed a pattern with every strike she's tried to land on me so far. She opens with a shockwave or an explosion to throw me off balance and set me up for a solid hit. So if I'm right, she's going to try to hit me with something right now. And Miyako wastes no time proving me right.
Oh. She's definitely not playing around anymore. I recognize that red glow. She's busting out the dragon moves now! Thankfully I think I've seen enough of how she attacks to stop holding out now. Especially since I now know that she can heal herself quickly.
But, there's still one more thing I want to see...
My tail shimmers in a dark grey as I prepare an iron tail while the lopunny slashes at me. And I quickly spin my body around with a sidestep of her first slash and swing my tail with full force into her next slash with an audible 'tunk' to stop it while my back is still facing her. I then wrap it around her hand and wrist as I continue spinning around to make it harder for her to dodge my incoming punch. Which as I finish my rotation, I'm rearing up an uppercut as my fist and sleeve alight with a bright pink and purple fire.
Planting my foot down with a firm thud, I'll aim my fire punch uppercut straight for Miyako's stomach to send her high in the air with enough force to crack the ground beneath me and blow through the grass around us. Releasing my tail's grip on her as it hits and smacking it against the ground to summon a stone edge pillar beside me. I'll then break it off the ground with a kick across the bottom, grab it with one hand and throw it up after her.
If she tries to dodge out of the way or pull at my tail to throw me off balance again. I'll tug her forward towards the ground with another few spins around. I'll take care not to pull her low enough that I'll drag her through the dirt as I'll spin in place. This time faster.
After a couple rotations I'll fling the lopunny high up in the air with the momentum I'll have built up and send a fire lash after her from my lit sleeve. And use that to give me time to follow up with another dragon pulse while she's still in the air.
Normally I would jump after my opponent and catch them mid air here. But I still need to see if those wings are for show or not. Because if she can fly, then I'd be left way open. And she'll easily be able to dodge and counter me in the air.
I know she's not holding back anymore, so I expect her to start flying if she's able and I'll be watching closely to how she responds.
Tsubayuki@Makaio:"Do pardon me if it is a sensitive topic for you. You seemed surprised and even a bit nervous when you were first asked about your choice of disguise. It leads me to believe that there is a bit more significance behind picking a dewott than them simply living nearby." The lopunny stated, wearing her usual stoic and neutral expression. But had a look of curiosity and concern in her eyes. "If I may, and with respect, I would like to ask about what personal reasons you might have."
Tsubayuki had startled Makaio, just a little. She had a calm demeanour but her height and striking eyes led her to cut a very imposing figure. He had not seen a Lopunny like her before. She was definitely no average "mortal".
"I appreciate your courteous approach," he said. "You don't look like the sort to judge people over their backgrounds, so I guess I can humour you."
"My biological mother was a Samurott. No idea about my father. I guess it doesn't matter now," he said.
"I was very sick. Though I could not tell you any specifics. As far as I can glean from what I've been told, my mother approached him in a panic, wailing about how she was a bad mother and couldn't do anything else for me, and how this was her last resort.
And then she disappeared."
Makaio shrugged halfheartedly. It was plain that he did not have a high opinion of this Samurott. Whatever her circumstances might have been, Makaio had long since made his own decision on her qualities as a person in absence of the extra information.
"Anyway, that's why I'm a Tapu Fini now, and not a real Dewott. We're not truly related, Kekoa and I -- but the infusion changed my species."
Makaio clasped his hands together. "In short, I'm adopted. It's ... well! Haha. It's interesting.
... There are a lot of times where I don't feel like I deserve any claim to his legacy. I feel like there must be someone more deserving out there, but ... well, in absence of such a person, it's up to me to continue his work."
"It is what you would look like had things played out differently. I am sorry. I appreciate you being willing to share that." She stated with a somber tone.
The lopunny stares off into the ocean as she continues. "It can be hard, looking back and sometimes wondering what your life would be like if things were normal. Only to be reminded that there is nothing you can do about it now." She turns her head to glance at Makaio. "To have such responsibilities placed upon you without a choice. I can unfortunately say that I can empathize with that."
Her gaze shifts to the horizon as the water slowly begins freezing beneath her feet as they hang gently over it. "I could argue that having such a change happen so early in your life would be better than if it needed to happen after you evolved. Because at least then... you do not have memory of how your life was. As you said, you do not remember much from back then." The lopunny states, looking back to the Tapu Fini from the corner of her eye. "Regardless of that fact. Even if you do feel doubts about what you must do, you are alive and capable. Two things are enough in their own right. Would you not agree?"
"I know not what this work you're tasked with is, and I understand is it not my business either. But I respect you taking it on despite how you may feel about yourself." She rests her hands in her lap and turns her head to face Makaio again. "If it would help you to talk about that however, I would be willing to listen."
I really should start taking account the Mienshao's tail, despite my speed I can see clearly how she's utilizing it to lean back and avoid my kick.
In the end however I wasn't given the luxury to fully plan my next action, seeing how quickly she springs forth from her position.
Unfortunately I've already mostly committed to my attack to dodge, so as Linda's fist flies at my back I twist my form and raise my palm to catch her strike. The force of the hit launches me back just as she creates the stone edge, and I angle myself mid-air to allow me to slam feet-first on the rock.
My eyes narrow upon seeing Linda smash her fists into the ground, sending a shockwave of earth traveling towards me. Quickly I use the stored kinetic energy from the launch to leap off the stone pillar, flying through the air as I witness the stone shard shatter from the concussive force.
I land a good distance away from my original position, my pulse quickening as I comprehend everything that has transpired.
She's...really not giving me room to breathe, every action has an immediate follow-up or response based on pure instinct and experience, making any sort of analytical decisions impossible.
She's utterly relentless.
"Amazing." I mutter to myself.
The thrumming in my engine-like tail intensifies to high-pitch whirr, the blue electricity crackling dangerously as my own excitement reaches the next level.
"I need to pick up the pace, I'm really doing you dirty by not living up to being a Bearer of Zekrom!" I laugh loudly just as the blue energy snakes between my claws.
Hold your Mudsdales, Miyako. I can't go all out yet, that'd just be cranking it up to an eleven when we're still at about a seven...
...But I still need to show her that I'm not her everyday opponent, just like how she's been showing me.
Sucking in my breath I thrust my claws forward, unleashing multiple forking Thunderbolts of power that streak towards her form. However I don't stop there.
With the energy having further enhanced my form I kick off from my position, flying towards Linda with almost as much speed as the lightning I unleashed upon her. As I close the distance I leap up into the air before slamming into the ground a few feet away from the Mienshao, utilizing the force itself to crack the earth and attempt to knock her off-balance.
Whether this succeeds or not I don't care, for I immediately smash my fists into the ground anyways to unleash the most concentrated Shockwave I've mustered so far. A bright flash of blue light is seen on my form before a sphere of power rapidly erupts where my limbs connect, cratering the ground and launching my surroundings into the sky.
It doesn't surprise me that this lopunny was able to jump out of the way of that shockwave, given she was fast enough to catch my fist. Even though I caught her out in that position.
Certainly tells me I was right about needing that power up punch. And so early on too.
As Miyo lands off the to the side where the stone pillar was, I feel the effects of that punch kicking in. My body feels lighter as I bounce on my heels, the energy flowing through my muscles like a wave.
This should give me the time I need to figure Miyako out.
My ear twitches as I pick up the noise coming from her tail. She's getting hyped up. And that's getting ME excited to see what she has next for me.
"Show me what you got then! I'm honestly having the time of my life right now! So you better not wear yourself out too early." I respond as I stand ready for what Miyo plans to do next. And she didn't waste any time with that.
As she fires off thunderbolts at a wide range.
I don't flinch.
I know where they're going, and I can dodge them pretty easily. I even think about taking one on purpose for a moment to see how strong her electric attacks are.
But I know Miyako's smarter than just hoping one of them will hit me. So my focus remains on her as I see she's coming at me along with the lightning.
As soon as I see her leap up, I weave around the bolts of lightning, crossing my forearms in front of my face to block one of the strikes which causes my feet slide backward along the ground from the impact. And... Wow. Do I feel it.
I may have resisted that thunderbolt thanks to my dragon typing, but the strength of a zekrom doesn't disappoint. I take too many more attacks like that and that'll be it.
But the moment my body stops sliding, I feel the ground tremble and split under me as I see the lopunny smashing into the ground just shy from me. I can tell she's trying to throw me off balance again, which to her credit. She was closer to accomplishing this time. But I still feel that something else is coming. And what that was is a bright flash I had to shield my eyes from, through it though I could still see a growing sphere that I try to hop back from.
However two problems quickly show themselves as I do that.
First is that sphere got pretty big pretty fast and I end up caught in it. The tingling feeling it gave me tells me it was another electric attack of hers.
The second is that whatever she did, the ground that was under me is now around me in the air. And in pretty big chunks too.
Chunks big enough to use.
My fist glows a faint purple again as I get my footing on one of the chunks in the air and kick off it towards another I see close by that's a little bigger than me. I drive a power up punch into it. Making sure not to shatter it.
As another wave of energy flows through me, I spin my body around in a circle with the chunk and hurl it at her faster than the thunderbolts she shot at me, down where I sense Miyako is standing. All before the sphere starts clearing.
Knowing that that won't take her out if it hits, and that I'm still in the air and can't easily dodge, I open my grinning jaws. Gathering energy that glows in the back of my throat, ready to greet the lopunny with a dragon pulse if she tries to jump at me in the air before I land.
And if she doesn't try to attack me in the air, I'll fire my dragon pulse at her when I land. And keep a close eye on how she reacts.
The sensation of power flowing through my form almost makes my body shiver, as if a floodgate is threatening to overflow and yet I've only opened it slightly. When the draconic Mienshao envelopes her fists in a deadly aura, I take a lower stance as I prepare for her charge.
And she closed that distance instantly...
I've taken several of her strikes head on so far, brute forcing through them in order to gauge her power. Now that I've taken enough blows to be satisfied, it's time that I start actually fighting like how fight my Sisters.
When the first strike heads for my chest I immediately twist my hips, shifting my body so that I roll with the punch - said appendage missing me by inches. When she continues the onslaught I continue to bob and weave, utilizing my agility.
Just as she transitions from Power-Up Punches to Fire Punches I change gears. The crackling purple flames blow above my head as I duck down, only to slam both of my sparkling clawed hands together. The clap unleashes another shockwave, this one more intention to knock her off balance from the spontaneous force.
Utilizing this advantage I leap up my crouched position, utilizing my momentum to flip backwards with one foot extended out with full intention of cracking her in the jaw with my somersault kick.
Whether it lands or not I land a few feet away, my form continuing to crackle with blue lighting as the generator-like whirring noise continues to intensify from my tail.
Going in I had a feeling about it. And after my first punch was dodged, Miyo made it clear that she's not giving me free hits anymore. Which to be honest, I was waiting for that. Because while it's good to know how tough she is. It doesn't tell me much about how she really fights.
And that's what I'm looking for as I continued throwing my punches. Tsubayuki's proved to me that rabbits can move fast, and Miyo's showing me that those wings and tail of hers aren't slowing her down at all.
But that's not what I'm looking for here.
As I threw my punches, I kept my eyes focused on the lopunny, anticipating her to make a move to get me off of her. And she certainly didn't waste any time. Right after my first fire punch I see her duck under it and clap. And I see exactly what she's trying as I feel my body being pushed backwards. She's making an opening to get a hit in by throwing me off balance. Smart. But she's not the first to try this on me.
My tail reflexively presses itself on the ground behind me to let me keep my footing as I watch the lopunny for her next move with an excited grin. My mind instinctively looking at what she could go for from this position. And the moment I see her start to leap, I kick myself back off the ground with my feet putting my weight on my tail. Leaning back against it and craning my neck I barely dodge her foot. Only feeling the wind and a few sparks on my chin from how close she was.
Not bad. That would've gotten me if my guard wasn't up already.
After that I immediately lean forward, shifting my weight against my tail to put my body into a lunging position while Miyo's back is still facing me in the air from the kick. Ready to spring myself forward, the faint glow covers my fist for a power up punch once again. I'm betting that I'll only have time to get a hit off before she throws another shockwave or something with that energy she's radiating.
And once her back is facing the sky, I launch myself forward, my tail kicking up huge chunks of dirt from the force. With my fist at my side, aiming to catch the lopunny's gut just before she lands and carry us both several yards with the momentum, before extending my arm forward throw her ahead of me mid air with the full punch. To follow up I'll stomp into the ground to land that'll form a stone edge pillar ahead of the lopunny for her to crash into the side of. I then will raise my arms over my head holding my fist in my hand and slam them into the ground in front of me. Sending a plume of dirt traveling along the ground towards the stone edge from the force.
Should she manage to dodge my punch again, I'll immediately light the sleeve on my other arm ablaze and twist my body around to quickly to swing the air and send a flaming slash in her direction. I don't it expect to hit her. But it will give me time to swing my arms forward and slam my fists into the ground, digging grooves into it for a few feet before my feet will collide with a flat stone edge that'll rise to meet me head on with a rocky thunk. Which will shatter as I rebound off of it towards the rabbit, putting me in her face again in the short time it'll take the fire lash to reach her. My legs will light up with pink and purple flames, and I'll rear one of them back for a kick across her face while my tail snakes around the other side of my body to grab one of her legs and tug them to the side with the kick, intending to throw her body sideways and set up for a flaming axe kick into the ground.
I can't help but grin with glee as the draconic Mienshao is sent flying form my throw, her form tumbling through the air. In the end however it takes her no time to right herself before taking that landing like a champ.
For something that'd be lethal for many average 'Mons, she really made it look like it was nothing.
To my surprise I watch as she starts leaping through the air, closing the distance I've made between us in no time. Each time she hits the ground she stirs up a massive cloud of dust, leaving deep impressions in the earth when her feet kick off once more.
As she gets closer I let out a laugh when she speaks, my eyes narrowing with uncontained glee. "I think at this point it's safe to assume that neither of us are normal gals." As she gets closer, I take note of how she's preparing her momentum. She's not just removing distance between us, she's going to use all of that force to be delivered in one strike.
"As for surprises..." I continue, watching as she takes one final leap in the air as she's about to make impact. "Although they may not be able to kill us, we both still have plenty more we haven't even begun to reveal..."
I do not dodge.
My legs tense as I bring up my claws in an attempt to catch her punch...
...and I feel the force of a collapsing mountain impact with my palms.
The sheer downward momentum of her punch combined with my Legendary-reinforced form causes both of our bodies to deliver all of the kinetic energy below my feet. It immediately shakes my form to my core as it travels through me, spreading out through the bottom of my soles and causing the ground itself to crater as if something massive stomped down upon me with its gargantuan foot.
...In a way, something did.
Bones creak, muscles scream, and my palms feel like they're on fire as they start to smoke from the sheer power of the strike.
As the cloud of dust starts to disperse, I'm still standing there with her fist still caught between my two hands. Shaking, but still standing.
If I were in the Isle right now, I would've been able to withstand this much more easily. Whether I've overestimated my capabilities outside my home or underestimated Linda I'm not sure, but the fact that I'm still standing is a feat I'm gonna take pride in - Bearer be damned.
A distinct hum starts to radiate from my form. "Speaking of surprises..." I growl in a low tone, giving her a pained smirk. "...It's time we kick things up a notch, shall we?"
My tail starts to glow a bright blue as the lightning power within it begins channeling, causing the lines across my frame and my hair to light up. I don't direct this power to any particular point in my form, I merely let it release...everywhere
A shockwave of electricity erupts from all directions with me in the center, the energy releasing a kinetic force to launch the surrounding dirt in hopes of propelling the Mienshao backwards. I don't expect to send her flying like last time - she's too sturdy, instead I aim to create a small amount of distance.
Lightning crackles across my form, the blue energy particularly dancing between my raised claws. Already the pain in my body is turning to a dull numb - a factor due to me being a Bearer.
With one movement I raise a hand to her, only to beckon with a finger.
I see MIyako standing firm as I fly in. And knowing exactly what she about to do. I only have one thought running through my mind as we collide.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!
Seriously. This girl has guts to take hits like these head on and I respect the hell out of it. And I can tell she's not being reckless about it either because as the dust settles I see she caught my fist with both her hands instead of trying to stop me with one.
She's gonna make this a fight to remember. And to think there's an island out there with more mons like her...
But before I could start fantasizing about how much fun meeting and fighting other beholders would be. My ears catch a humming sound just before Miyo's voice. Then I see her literally start to glow, and I couldn't tell if the tingling I was feeling was my growing excitement or the electricity that's coursing through the lopunny. I certainly couldn't hide the former as it was clear in my eyes and on my face. Before I knew it, I felt myself getting pushed away, and by electricity of all things. And it Leaves my fur standing on end.
The shockwave didn't send me far though. I find that when I land, I'm standing about the same distance across from Miyo as when we started. Speaking of whom, I both see and feel the power radiating off of her. And with this new blue look to her, she really does look like the dragon of ideals that I saw paintings of on the walls of that tower back home as a kid.
Part of me still can't believe this is happening. It all feels so surreal, something I don't think I've ever felt before in a fight. And I'm loving it!
Watching the lightning crackle off of her as she raises her hand to beckon me forward. Fire escapes the sides of my very eager and toothy smile as I slide a foot back and widen my stance. "I thought you'd never ask."
Miyo's already been taking my hits really well head on. And seeing now that she's powered up, I can only assume she'll take hits even better. So it just wouldn't be right to not do the same. And I know just the move do so.
A faint, golden glow covers my fists. And my legs tense leaving dents in the ground under my feet just I kick off the ground to lunge at the lopunny. Putting me next to her with my first aiming for her chest, all as quickly as it'd take you to blink.
She can take the punch like she has been doing so far, and like I expect her to. Or she can block it. Either way all I need is for it is to hit to get it's effect. With just one it'll increase the strength and weight behind any attacks I throw out after and it'll let me keep up with the powered up rabbit without burning any extra stamina. And if this fight goes how I hope it will. I'll certainly need it.
It won't be as strong as my other attacks so far. But as soon as it hits, I'll throw a couple more punches before the aura around my fist get replaced by a bright purple blaze, as I'll start to rush her down with more jabs that lead into hooks and uppercuts that'll be aimed at her sides and face one after the other. With the force of my punches carrying the fire a bit past where my fists stop.
Should she dodge my initial power up punch, I'll keep the aura over my fists for the follow up punches until I land one or two, before I switch to fire punches.
Come on! I know you're fast and I know you're strong Miyo, now show me that this new look of yours ain't for show!
I feel my shin connect with Linda's chin with a loud clack, my fanged grin widening even further with satisfaction...
...only for said grin to turn to an expression of surprise as I feel her wrap her arms around my waist.
Suddenly my world is spinning as the Mienshao twirls us, the wind causing my hair to blow violently. It didn't take me long to regather my senses, especially when I feel her shift her grip from my waist to my ankles.
Oh no you don't...
Taking my past experience when I sparred with Renaetta - one of the best grapplers among us who tends to toss me around WAY too frequently, I immediately prepare myself for what's to follow.
When Linda slams me into the dirt, I grit my fangs from the sudden pain and twist my body so that I can face the Mienshao as I rebound into the air. Just as her sweeping kick comes in I lash out with my hands and my feet, allowing my palms to catch her leg while my heels dig into the earth to prevent myself from being flung by the momentum.
The impact causes a loud bang as the surrounding air ripples, my muscles tensing as the kinetic force from the blow almost causing my body to rattle.
A low whistle escapes my mouth, my expression shifting to a smirk. "...Damn girl..." I purr. "Honestly if I wasn't as sturdy as I am, you probably would've broken more than a few bones." My eyes start shining with excitement, my grip on her leg tightening. "But let's see how well you stick your own landings~"
With that I use my strength to turn my hips and fling Linda into the air. If she's gonna have me go for a ride, I fully intend to give her a taste of being airborne as well.
I had a fanged grin as my throw worked planned. But just as I swung my leg, the loud and satisfying bang from the impact was there. But instead of seeing the lopunny flying from my kick, I see her standing there with a firm grip on my leg.
Once again I was surprised to see someone holding their own so well taking my attacks head on. But I'm starting to expect as much from Miyo. And what she said next got me excited for another reason, because before I knew it I found myself hurled into the air.
My body was flipping around rapidly for a bit before I twisted myself around to stabilize my body to be upright as I'm sent flying through the air.
And it feels great. Being so high off the ground with just the sound of the wind in my ears, and my hair blowing wildly in it. Seeing the village the both of us came from as I look around me. The mountains and forest on the horizon beyond that. And Miyako moving further and further away.
It's that feeling of flight that I've chased after since I was little. One I can only hope to imitate with a good jump. I will admit though, this is a bit higher than I've been able to get to myself, but that won't be a problem.
I close my eyes as I feel myself start to descend, taking a long deep breath in as gravity takes a hold of me. And after a few seconds, my eyes shoot open with a grunt as I breath out sharply through my nose. And a bit of fire escaping the ends of my grin. My eyes narrowing in focus as tense my legs and my back in preparation for the landing.
And I land with a boom. With a shockwave through the grass as a dirt cloud got kicked up from the small dent in I made hitting the ground. I stood firm as dug my heels and tail into the dirt while I kept skidding a few extra feet from the momentum. But as soon as I stopped, I got on all fours and gave a good leap out of the cloud as it was still rising, and through the air back to the lopunny.
This fight has only just stared and it's already is some of the most fun I've had in ages. And we're only using raw strength! I'm just itching to see how things will get when we start really showing each other what we can do!
"That was one hell of a throw!" I complimented as land, still needing to take another leap to get back to Miyo. "Not many mons would be able to walk away from a landing like so easily either." I point out as jump again. "But that's what making this so fun!" I continue as I rear my arm back to throw a punch when I land. "Because we don't have to worry..." I start as I aim my strike for Miyo's face. But intend on hitting the ground, as normally I expect my opponent to dodge out of the way of such a telegraphed attack. "About surprises killing each other!" I continue on impact.
Should she dodge out of the way, the force would make a crater. With a shockwave from that would upend chunks of the ground, sending them in the air around me.
Forget a brick wall, the impact on the Mienshao felt like I just punched a mountain. Not many Pokemon are capable of taking such a hit without getting knocked back - my Sisters being an exception, and Linda managed to stand her ground.
Oh, this is going to be something~
Linda's growing smile didn't go unnoticed by me, I recognize the feral glint in her eyes - the look of a warrior finding a good fight. I was so focused on that look that I didn't notice her suddenly move, shoving me forward with surprising force.
As I stumble backwards I see her rearing back for her own strike, the direction of her gaze followed by the angle of her arm telegraphing where it's going to go...
...However I'm not gonna block it.
I want to feel the hit, I want to gauge just how strong this Mienshao is - and there's no better way to determine that than taking the hit yourself.
So I let myself stumble back with my stomach wide open, her punch moving with the force of a lightning strike that smashes me dead center in the gut.
Spittle flies from my mouth as I'm sent flying back, my body flipping through the air from the impact. I manage to quickly right myself before landing on my feet, my claws leaving deep grooves in the earth as I slide back several feet before stopping.
"Damn..." I wheeze out, wiping my mouth with my arm as I attempt to replace wind that got knocked out of me.
This girl...is very strong, stronger than most mortals out here. If she were a Bearer like me or my Sisters, the power of a True Legendary would put her on the same level as Rohesia or Renaetta - or maybe even Vasilika.
With my breathing leveling out, lips shape into a fanged grin as I look at Linda. "I'm going to enjoy this..." I purr, my body crouching down to the ground.
Seeing how strong and durable she is, this means I don't need to pull my punches~
I focus on my muscles, the stinging in my stomach turning to a dull throb. In one motion I kick off, covering the distance between me and Linda in an instant.
Just as I'm about to reach her I jump in the air and delivering a knee, aiming straight for her face.
I notice something in the brief moment just before my fist connects. Miyo didn't regain her balance. She isn't attempting to block my punch. And lastly, she doesn't look shocked at all.
I see what she's doing.
She wants to take this hit.
I was left surprised by that as I watched her tumble away. And as she started sliding back on the ground I couldn't help but laugh out of respect and joy from the confidence she had behind that decision.
Not only has it been so long since someone's willingly taken a hit from me, let alone to judge my strength, this also told me that getting a good hit on this lopunny isn't going to be easy. She had the reflexes to react quickly to that punch in such a small window.
She's going to be tough to beat for sure. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
Seeing how she's already shaken off that hit and is getting ready to come at me again, tells me that she'll be able to take whatever I throw at her. Meaning I don't need to hold back at all. And I'm betting she agrees.
So I stand waiting, knowing that if I move too soon, Miyo will react accordingly. Watching carefully for the lopunny's next move.
And it happened just as quickly as I expected.
It took her two steps to close the distance between us, the second one putting her right in front of me. And with how her body is positioned, I can see what she's going to do. So in response, I plant half of my tail on the ground in a spiral behind me, preparing myself for when she kicks off the ground.
I know I can block, but I wanna get a good hit in more. And sometimes if you wanna do that, you gotta take a hit every now and then. That and I want to see how a hit from her feels to judge how many I can take.
Once she jumped at me, I jumped backward with her and open my arms, ready to grab her. As I do, I put my weight on my tail as I tilt my head back to take her knee on the chin. And even though I jumped in the same direction as her to soften her blow, that shit still hurt.
But with a the dull throb I now feel in my bottom jaw from the lopunny's knee, I snapped my arms around her waist, holding her with a tight grip so that she won't slip away from what I got planned.
Carrying my momentum from the jump, I lean our combined weight to the side, putting us off balance on my tail. And once I've done that I push my tail against the ground with enough force to kick up a cloud and chunks of dirt. Sending us spinning so fast that I can see my ponytail looping around behind the lopunny in my grasp while the world around us turns into a blur.
From here I'll loosen my grip to let Miyako slip out of my arms from the momentum and grab her ankles before she can get away. And I'll continue spinning with her a few more times before throwing her into the ground.
After that I'll carry that momentum, spinning around one more time and twisting my body, gearing up for a sweeping shin kick that'll hit her as she bounces back up off the ground to me.
I listen eagerly when she lays out the terms of the fight, the anticipation making me repeatedly adjust my weight from one foot to the other.
To fight while only using our physical capabilities before slowly integrating our power? Just thinking about it makes me even more excited. It allows us to demonstrate every aspect of our ability while also not forcing us to reveal all our cards, savoring the greatest for the last while also not letting it end prematurely.
Am I drooling?
I quickly wipe my mouth to see a faint wet splotch on my hand, letting out a chuckle as I shake it off. "That sounds good to me." I purr. "Course, probably should put in a few extra measures just to be safe." I cross one of my arms under my chest as I scratch my cheek with the other. "The fight ends when one side surrenders or is physically incapable of continuing. It IS a friendly spar, after all."
"As for the rest?" I continue, my arms falling to my sides as my eyes narrow. I lick my lips. "Sounds perfectly fine to me~"
My gaze focuses on her, noticing her shift to a battle-stance. I see the subtle signs - her muscles tensing slightly, her breathing quickening, and her gaze focusing on. The confidence and excitement she's radiating more than signifies that she is a warrior who has participated in countless conflicts and won, so I know for a fact that this fight will be something I am going to thoroughly enjoy.
Even though I feel the surging energy within my form just aching to be released, I contain it. I'll have plenty of opportunities to show her my stuff throughout the fight~
The air around us stills - as if anticipating the inevitable clash. My heartbeat quickens, the pumping sensation and sound pounding in my ears. My eyes narrow to slits, my grin threatening to split my face.
She said she's ready, so I can't let her wait in suspense~
"Then here I come." I finally say in a low tone.
With that I move, my body crouching down before kicking off all in one motion. I streak towards her, closing the distance as one of my hands clenches into a fist. Using the momentum I thrust my fist forward, aiming to strike her straight in the stomach.
I feel like a little kid again with how excited I am hearing those words come out of this lopunny's mouth. Like a special kind of anticipation that you get when you open a christmas present.
I keep my eyes focused on her as she leaps towards me. And I see that fist and form. Straight for the gut huh? Alright.
Normally I'd meet punch like this with my own to test the waters and see how hard most mons can hit before knocking them on their ass. But I already know that Miyo isn't most mons. So instead I shift my body to move my arm and my tail in front of me to block her hit.
And when I did... DAMN! You'd think the sound of the impact was thunder. The force creating wind that blew through the grass around us, and I could even feel it blowing through my ponytail.
My pupils narrow as they are focused on the lopunny, my smile widening as I can't help a giddy giggle from escaping me due to my anticipation of the fight that we're starting.
My turn.
Just as quickly as my arm and tail gave a bit from Miyako's punch, I respond by pushing them back out to throw the lopunny off balance as I follow up by hurling my other fist forward at her chest. Putting a bit of weight into it too. Causing my leg to lift behind me to keep my own balance.
The more I interact with this Mienshao the more I gain a sense of a kindred spirit from her. She is someone who holds great respect for strength and power, who isn't afraid to voice her thoughts.
It's kindling a greater competitiveness in my soul. It has been a long time since I've felt this desire to push boundaries.
My thoughts are stirred when I hear her shout her challenge of a race, the earth kicking up as her purple frame speeds towards our decided destination - faster than I expected from one of her size.
The crimson irises of my eyes glow as they narrow - contrasting greatly with the sheen of the black sclera, my fangs gleaming when my lips twist into grin.
"You're on." I purr, the fires of my ambitions already intensifying further.
My talons dig deep into the earth before kicking off with an equally large spray as I dash after her, my form low to the ground in order to maximize efficiency.
It really has been a long while since I've grown this excited over the prospect of a battle - and even longer still by a mere race. It makes sense since at this point I've fought my own Sisters more times than I can ever count, we've all memorized each other's fighting styles - leaving no room for surprises anymore. Even the prospect of fighting them at our full power doesn't really excite me as much as it used to.
But with this draconic Mienshao? She's not one of my Sisters. That is why I am so excited.
She is something new and unknown, her fighting style not memorized and her abilities not predictable. Even though she isn't a Bearer, I know for a fact that the sensation I desire so greatly will be obtainable if I fight her.
Although I'm not the fastest or most agile of my Sisters, I'm still dexterous enough to outpace most of them. Yet even with myself not at full power due to being far away from the Isle it's still a surprise to see how much distance Linda created between us.
Mienshaos have a reputation of being limber and incredibly agile, yet Linda is different - being larger and containing far more muscle mass underneath her silky coat. The fact she can go this fast shows just how much power she has. Watching every step of hers smashing into the ground and creating holes in her wake as speeds across, it's almost memorizing - as if she's a force of nature.
My fangs grit together, noticing that her headstart means she will win at this rate.
I can't let her beat me.
Feeling my electrical power channel into my legs, blue light radiates from my tail as I start pumping Zekrom's energy into my legs. My surroundings begin to blur as I pick up speed, my movements growing faster and faster with every bit of power that flows into my limbs.
The purple Mienshao's frame starts to grow closer and closer as I keep pressing myself, my expression turning to almost feral glee as lightning crackles around myself. With every moment I can see the distance vanish...
I finally reach her, yet I don't stop there. I continue to press myself with greater intensity, my aim is to leave her in the dust!
Yet as my gaze shifts to her with that same glee, I find myself immediately becoming distracted. The same intensity of her eyes, the same competitive grin, I feel the amount of power I'm pumping into my being slowly lessen.
Her expression reminds me of myself when I recently became a bearer, the prospect of endless challenge and growth when I finally had the strength to keep up with my ambitions - before the weight of responsibility took its hold.
Perhaps that's another reason why I am so eager to take this fight despite the inevitable verbal berating when the others find out. Not only is this a spar with someone new, it is a spar with someone who reminds me very much of myself - back when I was still living the new high of wielding the power of a True Legend.
By this point I realize just how distracted I've become, having stopped using my power entirely. Due to me having been focused on Linda I've been purely using just my strength, and now the two of us are slowing to a stop since we have already arrived at the field.
The Mienshao was very much focused on herself as she sprinted here, I'm not sure if she paid attention to my fixation on her as I ran. What is certain however is that she doesn't know who won...
I know though... It was a tie. Although I used my power to close the distance between us, ultimately our speed was equally matched when we only relied on our bodies instead of any other powers.
I can't help but laugh wordlessly, the fact that a race between us ended in a draw only increases my hopes for the inevitable fight.
A small trickle of sweat slides down the black surface of my forehead, I quickly take a hand and wipe it from my brow. "Alright!" I chuckle, my laughter dying down. Despite previously being lost in thought, the fire in my belly still isn't quenched - if anything it grew. "This really is a prime location, no need to worry about our surroundings."
With that I turn to face her, my clawed hands resting on my hips. "Since you are the one who challenged me, why don't you decide the terms of our spar?" I smirk, leaning forward slightly as I look up at her.
There are many possibilities for the rules. Full use of our abilities or simply resorting to just the strength and speed that our bodies possess. Regardless of what she chooses, I will enjoy it regardless~
This lopunny... Looking at her out here, I can sense the power within her that'll soon be feeling for myself. It's getting me all excited. But I have to curb that excitement a little with what Miyo just said as she's given me something to think about.
"Terms huh?" Yeah I guess those are a thing for friendly fights aren't they?
"You know those aren't something I think about too often. Most mons are either too scared to ask me to fight, or it's the type of fight where only one person gets to walk away." I explain as I fold my arms under my chest and tilt my head slightly, my eyes shifting upwards as I think about our options.
My heart wants to make it a no holds barred. The idea of fighting a zekrom is something I've wanted to do since I heard about the legendary dragons as a kid. And experiencing that power, especially seeing how Miyo caught up to me... Ooohoohoo! I can feel my blood pumping just thinking about it!
But I also need to use my head. If we did go all out, while I'd hate admitting this, she very well could out do me. I know I'm strong physically, but when it comes to things like my dragon breath or special attacks? I wouldn't call them weak, but I'd be lying if I said they would likely match a legendary right now.
But I reeeeally want to see it for myself. Hmm... Maybe we can start out with what our bodies are physically capable of and then letting us go all out.
Yeah... Then we both get a good fight, AND I'll see what power a legendary pokemon truly has. It's a win win.
So since thinking all that through only took moment, my smile returns shortly after my last sentence as I look back down at the legendary lopunny to give her an answer. "For us though, I think we should see what each other can do with what our bodies are capable of. At least to start off." I state as place a hand on my hip and raise the other into a clenched fist. "Once we feel we've both warmed up a bit we can start mixing in our physical attacks. After that, if we feel like we can push it further. We can go all out." I explain, as I can barely contain my excitement.
"If that sounds good to you..." I start as I take a battle stance with my arms and tail at the ready. "Then I'm ready when you are."
My blood is pumping already and my breath is steady as I'm now waiting for the lopunny to make the first move.
When she mentioned that there is an empty field nearby, I bite my lips - said action nearly drawing blood due to my sharp fangs.
She does have a point, we can have a lilâ teensy spar with no one getting caught up in itâŠ
Nope! Câmon Miyako, youâve been over this before! You know how things will turn out, the last thing you need is to get in trouble. If you cause any issues at all, thereâs a really big chance that theyâll just send you back!
Iâve been wanting to leave my home for a long time, this is the first time Iâm even talking to someone who lives outside! Is it really worth the risk?
Realizing the possible consequences, I manage to barely push the temptation to the back of my mind again. I take a shuddering breath and force myself to put on a straight face.
When I start listening to the giant Mienshao talk again, I hear her speak about fighting my other sisters. Now that causes me to pause, the sheer concept of the thought being absurd to me.
Now I can understand the prospect of wanting to fight a Legendary, but to fight MULTIPLE Legendaries - Bearers or not?
At that point I donât think the word âambitiousâ would even be enough to describe that sort of idealism. Not to mention this girl is talking about it as if itâs actually going to happen, seeing her wording and tone of voice.
The best part? Itâs for sake of creating a legacy to pass down to her eventual descendants.
Sheâs not fighting for power or dominance, but for glory.
Yeeaaah I could see she was gonna go for it from the look on her face. And it seems like sheâs a fan of my motivation too with that grin she made after I mentioned it.
Heh, off to a great start already.
I couldnât help but raise an eyebrow a what she said me not being a âsisterâ of hers though.
âMe with a legendaryâs power huh? Iâm not sure how I feel about that idea. Certainly wouldnât call it cruel though.â Thatâs not a lie either. Iâm as strong as I am thanks to the work of my ancestors. But that power took generations to build, so to have the blood of a legendary being thrown in... I wonder if that would even be possible.
Iâd have said that out loud had Miyako not kept going and broke my train of thought when she mentioned that other sisters of hers would also be willing to fight. At that point my eyebrows raise in a bit of surprise as I was going to ask her if any of these sisters of hers would also be willing to fight me later anyways.
Guess Iâll have to get her to introduce me to them later if a fight with her is as good as Iâm expecting it to be. âSounds like thereâs a lot more than just a few of you huh? Makes me wonder where you all are from. But you can tell me that after we get back.â And as I say that I felt myself get yanked down by my arm to be just in front of Miyakoâs face. And from the look in her eyes, she canât wait to fight any longer.
Hehe, good.
I honestly canât wait anymore myself. My heart is pumping from feeling the energy Miyako is letting off herself and like hell if Iâm gonna stand here in this village any longer.
I feel my grin widen in response to her wink. âWouldnât dream of it.â I reply as I head in the direction I came from to the fields. Calling out to her once we get out of the town, âLast one thereâs a slowbro!â Before breaking out running. As I do I can feel myself grinning as my eyes shine with excitement.Â
If she can pull me down to get eye level with her like that. Then I think Iâll finally have someone I can let loose a little bit against.
And it didnât even take a minute until I got to a spot in the fields thatâs a safe distance from the town. And as I look to my side I see Miyakoâs already here too.
A shame we didnât have someone out here to tell us who won.Â
Linda@Miyako: The dragoness wears a smirk as she approaches the legendary hybrid. âIt seems a normal lopunny is difficult to find these days. Youâre the third one in a row that Iâve seen with something to set them apart from your kind. But if someone told me that there was one of you out there that had THE dragon of ideals in their blood, I would have called them crazy. And yet here you are.â She stated as she tried her best to mask the excitement in her tone.Â
Her tails swayed back and forth behind as she placed a hand on her hip. âNow Iâd be lying if I said I didnât care to see just how much of their power you inherited for myself, since Iâve always dreamed of a fight with zekrom since I was a kid. But I can wait for that until after I hear how you ended up with it. Was it something you were born with, did you earn it through a test, or something else?â
She leans in a little with an eager look in her eyes. âOf course if you want to just have a spar instead Iâd be more than fine with that too.â
[PoV: Miyako]
And here I was thinking that Iâd have to go out of my way to talk to someone, but it turns out that someone seems to be taking the initiative. When I turn to address the source of the voice, I realize that I need to look up in order to even match the gaze of the person.
Seeing the look in her eyes when I offered a spar got me even more excited than I already was. But that excitement was quickly being washed away by an equal amount of disappointment when those words left her mouth.
Any other time? Are you kidding me?! My ears droop as Iâm practically pouting at her response. âAww seriously? Thereâs an open field just outside this town that would be perfect!â I point out trying to convince her to let me fight her, because I can tell that she wants this just like I do.
But when she started answering my question I now need this fight with her. âSo you were a normal lopunny before being chosen by zekrom then.â My face lights up as I lean in raising closed fists up to either side of my face like I was a kid again. âAnd that power as great as the real thing too? And youâre not the only one on top of that?!â Had I forgot about her saying she isnât supposed to be fighting Iâd have assumed I was dreaming. DAMN IT! I was getting excited again too!
Maybe I could ask her to introduce me to a few of them at least. But she started talking about me before I could get to that. And compliments too? You wonât hear any objec-Â Hey what are you doing?
My bewilderment is clear on my face as I turn my head to follow the smaller mon circling me. Clearly caught off guard as Iâm not used to someone just casually inspecting me like this. Most mons are too scared of me to do so for the reasons this lopunny is pointing out. Believe it or not people get nervous around an apex predator as she so accurately puts it.Â
I stand upright again with a confident smirk on my face. âAll that makes my bloodline something to be proud of.â I state with pride as I should. And while this lopunny circles me I get some good looks of my own on her. I hold my chin with my thumb and index finger as I get a better look at her once sheâs in front of me again. âAlthough youâre not without a powerful presence of your own which Iâd expect from one bearing a legendariesâ power.â Yeah, sheâs got a sturdier looking body than Tsubayuki for sure, a pretty strong pair of wings, and I can practically feel the power radiating from her.
...
Iâm not leaving without at least something damn it. The more I see and hear the more frustrated I get. Surely there has to be some way I can convince her to have a fight with me.
I feel myself smile even wider at hearing that Iâve already won her approval as she continued on. And I could listen to her compliments all day. Because sheâs not wrong about any of it, and I feel myself puff my chest a little as she strokes my ego.
Honestly it shouldnât surprise me that she can sense idealism now that I think about it. Zekrom is the dragon of ideals after all, so it makes sense. I look at her with half lidded eyes and grin. âYou really do have the blood of Zekrom in you since you can sense all that. Because youâre damn right I got big dreams that Iâm working to make true. And those goals I have are to uphold the reputation my ancestors made for themselves and make them proud. I still have plenty of time to decide what mark I want to make. But fighting your sisters if they have legendary blood like yours would be a great story in itself to tell my future kids. And as for my name...â I start as I point my thumb in towards my chest. âItâs Linda. And speaking of things that would suck, are you sure you just canât fight in a crowded area?â I ask in an attempt to convince her to consider a fight if thatâs the case.
âAgain, we can spar in the fields outside of the town so we can let loose without putting the people here in danger.â I point out, because I believe she could light a few of the houses here on fire with her lightning if she isnât careful. And I could destroy a house or two if I miss an attack.
A smack a fist into my palm as I look at the lopunny with a grin of excitment and confidence. âIn an open area like that we could let loose without anything to worry about! And we can come right back once weâre done. Whaddya say?âÂ
Come on Miyo, donât leave me hanging. You and I both know we want this. And who knows when weâll get to meet another mon like each other again.
Deep in the cave known as victory road, a tall purple weasel is wandering about the corridors passing glances to and fro. âFor a place said to have a lot of tough pokemon living in it, itâs been pretty damn quiet.â She comments to herself followed by a sigh of disappointment.
With her hands on her hips she continues walking and thinks to herself. âDid word about me get around that quickly?â She gains an annoyed frown while pondering on that thought. âThatâd be annoying because this place seemed promising after fighting those rydon and medicham.â She shrugs as she continues on, keeping an eye and an ear out for any pokemon that could be lurking nearby.
Asa was wondering within the caves of the mountain, today there was a gang war going on, so she was stuck patrolling the caves as her family was out fighting. She didnt see anything of interest, till she herd some groaning. Cautiously, she stepped to look around the corner, to see a meinshao walkingâŠShe raised a brow, she didnt recognize this one, but they deffinetly had some dragon scentâŠso she shrugged.
âHey! Purple gal!!â Asa yelled as she smiled, âYou a traveler or a battler? Cuz if youre a battler youre in the wrong Side of the mountain!â Asa laughs slightly as she smiles.
âHmm?â Lindaâs ears twitched in response to hearing someone yelling and turns her head to look back to see whoâs trying to get her attention.
Her eyebrows raise in surprise to see an unusual looking scrafty that is close to her height. And as the scrafty continues to ask her a question she turns to face the lizard fully to answer her. âIâm a bit of both I guess.â She answers with a smile of her own. âWhy? Whatâs wrong with me being here?â She asks with a confused look.
Asa chuckled as she crossed her arms a bit. âWell for one youâre in one of the nesting areas! This is the more calm part of the place, where young are usually raised.â She points to some burrows where little deino squeaked as they were being cared for by scrafty and some excadrill. âNot exactly a good place for causin a fuss because of the babies.â
Lindaâs eyes widen upon hearing where she is which shifted to an âawwâ expression when she saw the young dragon. âGuess itâs good I havenât found anyone to fight here. Wouldnât want a little one to get hurt.â She turns her head back towards the scrafty. âGood thing you found me then huh?â She says with a friendly grin.
âWell since Iâm not gonna find anyone to fight here, mind pointing me to where I will?â Her smile falters a bit to show a bit of a troubled look as she continues. âIâve been looking for quite a while and havenât had any luck. Only seen a couple mons when I first got here. And itâs a shame too because I heard some pretty strong mons live here.â
âAlpha sections, bout two levels up. Near the top level but, thats where my grandmas den entrance isâ She laughs as she rubs her neck. âThough if you wanted a huge range in battles right now, you came at a bad time. Theres a gang war going on and everyone whoâs a class A n up are out, soâŠIf you want i can offer a spar?â She begins to walk out, as she pets some of the smaller dragons who were pulling at her tail. âI know i aint that big for a mountain breed but i got some skills to spare.â Asa smirks as she extends her hand, âAH! Almost forgot, names Asa, im the 7th strongest on this mountain.â She smiled, âNâYou?â
A disappointed frown grows on Lindaâs face as she heard what is going on and crossed her arms. âA war huh? Well, that explains why I couldnât find anyone for a while. And Iâd hate to interfere in that.â She said as some of that disappointment was replaced with a bit of surprise and then optimism as she heard the scraftyâs offer. âSounds good to me.â The mienshao stated as she followed Asa.Â
Linda then tilts her head a bit and raises an eyebrow. â âNot that big?â Coulda fooled me. Youâre easily twice the size of any scrafty Iâve seen before. Although I guess I canât say much myself now can I?â She joked as she gives a friendly grin and a wink as she shakes Asaâs hand. âThe nameâs Linda, dragonborn mienshao. And itâs nice to meet one of the strongest here.â She places her hands on her hips. âAnd now that you got me excited for this spar, where to?âÂ
