This is my opinion here, but I feel like a lot of people often do a lot of things just to get someone’s attention or to stand out in a group of people. It’s pretty easy to just go out and try to find love, but I honestly do believe that its when we’re not actively hunting for a match where we find someone who completely compliments us. Now this may different for some people, because some people just naturally stick out more than others and I’m not saying it’s bad! However, I do think it’s important not to try to be someone you aren’t to attract others. Be proud of who you are and embrace who you are. Someone who can learn to love you and accept you who you are is someone who deserves your own love and attention. 

Unlike A, I’m not particularly a romantic, but I do believe in fate--that some things are just meant to be. So don’t try to force things a certain way. As hard as that may be. To put it simply, if it isn’t natural, it isn’t right.  

But going back to this quote, yes. Love is something that finds you. You will find it when you’re completely not expecting it. When you are trying expect love, you will easily be disappointed when it doesn’t go the way you think it will. This is why you will be so much more happy when love finds you when you aren’t looking for it; because your expectations are low. 

Love is a gift and a chemistry that is special between two people. Be gentle with it. Treat it with respect and with care. It is pretty fragile.

s/o to the girls

it absolutely breaks my heart when girls are constantly compare themselves to others. i know that, in a sense, it’s inevitable and it’s going to happen, i mean, i’m guilty of it. but you can’t let it take over and control your life! tbh: no one is the same. you can not be her. and she can’t be you either! everyone is their own, unique person. 

so what if you don’t have a thigh gap? so what if you have stretch marks? so what if you don’t have full lips? does that mean you’re any less of a woman? does that make you worth any less? no. no no no no NO! she’s human, you’re human. you might think she’s flawless, but i can guarantee you that when she looks in the mirror, she sees nothing but flaws.

you don’t have to look like her, because you aren’t her. you are you. and you’re the only one who can do yourself justice. you have to be proud of who you are and have confidence in yourself. i think that’s what makes a girl the most beautiful, when she’s just brimming with self-confidence and knows exactly what she’s worth. that’s what attracts people’s attention.

I actually recently went to the beach and I feel like I have something I could share about this post in particular. I spent about 4 hours at the beach about a week ago and about 2.5 of it was spent in the water just playing with the waves and swimming in the waters. I had noticed that after swimming in the waters for so long, my skin had actually felt really really smooth and clean. 

This may be a stretch for some people, but I think this caption pretty accurately depicts what I’m trying to say. We as people are prone to making errors pretty often I’d say--don’t be hung up over your mistakes and move on because your God has already forgiven you for your sins. He has given us that grace to be able to live day by day without constantly worrying about being struck down for a past mistake or sin we made. Of course, I’m not saying it’s okay to just do bad things because you’re always forgiven, (keeping in mind it’s your actions that will ultimately define your character and not your thoughts or words) but to those of you who are still lingering over past struggles, please do yourself a favor and linger no more. Live for the present. Move on from the past. Keep the future in mind.

anyway, this quote is so extremely true. ACTIONS will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS speak louder than words. it doesn’t matter if you’ve known that person since day one, if they don’t support you and show you that they’re willing to be there for you, they’re not really your friend. friendships are priceless. and if a friendship is genuine, you can bet that both of you would do practically anything for the other~

speaking from experience: i have a friend who is pretty much the other half of my soul. she and i always joke we’re pretty much the same person in two different bodies. i would very willingly put my life on the line for her and i’ve only known her for 3 years!

it’s A!

Hello hello people of tumblr!! I’m A~ I’m pretty much just like any other typical college girl... some random things about me? I love tea, I have an addiction to pinterest, I’m a total photography nerd, and I’m definitely a romantic, but more than anything, I LOVE meeting people and making them smile~ (I also use the “~” a lot. Don’t ask me why, I just like it.)

so confession: I’ve kinda never made a blog before in my life... but I was talking with K and we decided “why not? it’ll be a new experience” so that’s how this thing happened~ but regardless of my obvious lack of blogging knowledge, I would love love LOVE it if you’d talk to me!

K and I would probably win the “weirdest way to meet and become friends” award and our history together is actually pretty crazy. Coincidentally, we’re very similar and, for whatever reason, tons of people always come to us for advice about lots of different things and, tbh, we were pretty good at it. So we decided to take our thoughts to a wider audience by making this! (yay!) I promise that we’ll try our best with whatever you ask us, so give us a chance!!

it’s important to remember that you can’t be perfect. i mean, let’s be honest, no one on this earth is perfect~ there have been a lot of times when i didn’t do something or missed an opportunity because i was too scared to fail, too scared of what other people would think if i didn’t succeed, so i missed out on things. which sucks for me. but i think the biggest failure is not living life the way you want to because you’re scared of what the world will think... that’s not living, that’s hiding.

so be yourself, be different and always, ALWAYS try new things.

I’m just your average male college student with a fairly open summer schedule looking for things to do. I had joked to A a couple months ago about making vlogs or blogs about our experiences in the past since it always seemed like we had an endless amount of things to talk about regarding our people relationships and how we both always knew the best way for other to handle them. Caution: This idea is filled with 30% spontaneity, 40% reason, 25% experience, and 5% wisdom. Bear with us. Pls.

A and I have a pretty crazy history that starts off in a pretty unsuspecting place so #1: Be open to people you meet ANYWHERE because you never know what role and impact they may end up having in your lives. I cannot not stress this anymore. People randomly appear in your lives all the time, and sometimes, we just let them all pass by us. I’m not just talking about when you’re looking at the cute girls pass by-- I’m talking about EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. I can tell you for sure that often the people that end up meaning the most to me come not when I am searching for friends but when we meet in a completely natural and maybe even unusual manner because even nature is unusual. 

Don’t be shy, ask away! Don’t be shy, live away! Don’t be shy, be yourself! Don’t worry, it’s K. Don’t let the judgement of others impede you ever.
