Henry, will you be going to see Emma in the spring musical even though she’s now dating your sworn enemy?

What does it matter who Emma is dating? I hardly consider it my business, so long as she's happy. And I can hardly envision her happy with Stride, so I expect the relationship will be ending any day now. After all, Emma is lovely in every possible way and Stride is quite the opposite. Have you ever worked with a substance so hazardous that it must be disposed of in a specially-built landfill and then promptly incinerated? Simon Stride is, like toxic waste, dangerously inconvenient.

So, yes, I plan to attend. I have flowers and front-row seat tickets at the ready.

to everyone: what have you been up to?

Greetings to the many inquisitive minds simply dying to know what Lanyon and I have gotten up to these last few weeks! Never fear, we haven’t been kidnapped or tortured, though Lanyon looked about five seconds from spontaneous combustion during some of our more tense study sessions.I’m afraid, my dear readers, that we have been doing nothing but taking midterm exam after midterm exam. And as I’m certain you can all surmise, I received at least a 100 on all aforementioned tests. Lanyon managed to do almost as well as me… which says nothing about our responsive degrees of intelligence, of course.

HL: I did have a more difficult course load than you, so in terms of weighted GPA, I actually—

GJU: I'm proud of how I did too! My Intro to Liberal Arts & Humanities midterm was pretty challenging.Now I’m sure you’ve a plethora of others questions for us, so ask away! We have nothing to hide. :)

How nice to hear from you, Simon! I appreciate your kind invitation, but unfortunately I doubt I'll have quite the time on my hands as you do what with, you know, meetings and award ceremonies and all those dreadful post-award interviews. I'd hate to leave you on your own after having my presence requested, though... I suppose I can double check-- oh! Look at that. It appears that I can pencil this in. Thank you for asking, Anonymous! My serum is coming along just splendidly, better than ever before, really, what with the lack of pesky interferences messing about. I have been able to work in blissful serenity for… what time is it? Well, for the last good while, no arguing with impossible Irishmen or taking breaks for meals… Why, I can hardly feel my fingers anymore! Bahaha! –HJ

Eh...Utterson, please, please tell me you've tried to get Henry and Lanyon to make amends.

Oh, I have! I’ve gotten very creative in my reconciliation attempts – I’ve been watching a lot of movies, you know, movies are so wonderful. So I managed to lock Harry and Hastie in the dorm together with that lovely song from The Little Mermaid, what was it called… oh yes, “Kiss The Girl”! I thought it fit the mood of their tiff very nicely. Unfortunately they simply climbed out the window… It is a fourth-floor dorm so I cannot imagine it was very easy. Oh well. I will keep trying! I’m thinking of making them a single plate of spaghetti for them to share in the moonlight, do you think that will work?

Lanyon, though I do respect your wishes, perhaps cutting ties was not a good idea. Henry will need someone to guide him, goodness knows he's a disaster case himself - could you please speak to him? That recklessness could have... less than ideal results.

HL: You think I don’t know that?? I’ve tried talking to him. I warned him before he even started this idiocy and I warned him while he was doing it and I warned him before I left the project. Henry is more stubborn than most natural disasters, and about as volatile. If he wants to get himself killed, or tried for unethical research methods, he’ll manage it no matter what I do.

(That’s not to say I wouldn’t help him if he came to me.)
