As much as I enjoy Mituna's tragic past and current problems, his character is ableist as fuck because of how mental illness is portrayed through him. So many people think he's a sweet pour baby despite him always yelling slurs and shit. Yes he can't control it but it's still sorta shitty. That and he's basically meant to be the type of person who talks shit on places like 4chan and Something Awful. He's gross
Hi, while I won’t say Mituna does not have a mental illness, as he is likely Bipolar as Sollux was, his comic behavior is not majorly reflective of a mental illness. It is however reflective of a traumatic frontal lobe brain injury. please read up before you start throwing the A word around:

He is a parody of 4chan, but he is also a very real portrayal of frontal lobe brain damage and its effects on behavioral compulsions, right down to the filtration issues, improper sexual behavior, vulgarity, memory loss, coordination and language jumble.
Mituna as a character has nothing to do with how other fans portray him, also. Both sides of the camp are often wrong. He is neither a nasty, vulgar shithead or a sweet baby. He’s a person disabled by a traumatic injury that prevents him from filtering his behavior, and it’s very accurate to real behavioral compulsions exhibited in very real people who have sadly undergone such an injury.
So yeah don’t throw that A word around so lightly. He has brain damage (mind, self-inflicted brain damage he sustained when… here comes those repeating patterns again, he sacrificed himself to save their session/his friends. Captors tend to do that a lot, huh?), if you actually read his dialog closely, you’ll see Latula was not kidding when she said there’s “more to him” than the nasty shit he says. There’s a lot of subtle cues in his dialog that reveal a lot more to him than just the sex puns and the garbled screaming.
Also, don’t send me drama baiting asks worded so aggressively. I don’t usually reply to them, but I don’t like seeing the A word thrown around without some research behind what you’re pegging as problematic. Real people with this same, real injury, do exist. Be mindful of that, and remember that they literally cannot help what they are saying as their control center is damaged. Just because you find his behavior “gross”, or the more light hearted subject of the character being a parody of an image board, does not mean that you are not actually saying extremely ableist things yourself.
