Satinka screams as she falls through a portal she was pretty sure she accidentally opened up given the circumstances. When she falls out the other side she lands roughly onto a stone floor, grunting at the impact. Her pink butterfly wings flutter as she stands up, shaking her head. She dusts off her puffy skirt and looks around, noticing she's in some sort of dark castle, so she summons her magical wand with a large heart shaped pink gem that glows. Oddly enough, the light doesn't go very far. "Huh... well that confirms the presence of magic here at least..." she mumbles to herself
The sound of a bird flying around is all that is audible in the massive dark hall. “Who are you?” A woman’s voice asks as a brightly colored falcon with blue feathers on its back instead of brown land within the radius of Santinka’s light. The falcon is glaring at her intensely. “You are not supposed to be here child.”
"Uh," she stares down at the bird. "Monarch," she comes up with on the spot. "Butterfly Monarch, and you are...? S-sorry if I'm at all rude, birds don't talk back home... the portal was probably my doing but I don't actually know"
“Ah, secret identity.” The woman’s voice said, sounding amused. The falcon then transformed in a flash of light and standing there is an older woman wearing robes made from falcon feathers. “Come with me child, I am the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.” She said kindly. “Which is a dangerous place to be for the unprepared.”
"Yeah, a couple actually... I can change forms," she shrugs. "Thanks, I'm still figuring out what I can do, not a lot of opportunities back home for learning about my abilities," she admits, staying close to the sorceress. "Monarch is acrually brand new, everyone calls me Butterfly Princess or Demon Princess depending on the form but it doesn't feel like they take me seriously when they call me that so I'm trying to make myself sound more mature"
The Sorceress chuckled as with a wave of her hand, the darkness lifted revealing the Great Hall, at the end is a raised throne with a mirror behind it. “Well, you’re not the first one from another world to come to Eternia, and I somehow doubt you’ll be the last.” She said leading up to the mirror. “I’m going to contact the hero of this world to come pick you up, shouldn’t take too long.” She explained holding her hand up to the mirror, the reflection changing to a grand looking palace, and focuses in on a young man wearing a white tunic with a pink vest, at a grand feast sitting next to the king and queen, the three of them laughing about something.
A moment later the young man stops laughing, looks thoughtful, then gets up, makes an excuse, and walks out with a green tiger following him. “He’ll be here shortly.” The Sorceress said lowering her hand and the mirror returning to normal.
"He, uh... didn't look like any of the heroes from my world... they're all adults, ranging from fresh out of school to older people, but he looked my age. I'm... not a qualified hero, or even a hero student, just a vigilante that wants to help," Satinka shrugs. "You recognized thay I had a secret identity, does he too?"
“That he does.” The sorceress admits. “I didn’t think you’d be able to see into my mirror, Adam will have to forgive that lapse in judgement.” She sighed. “In any case, you haven’t seen him transform yet. When he uses the full power of the universe, he transforms into He-Man, defender of the universe.”
"Sorry, but I'm afraid I've never heard of him back home. The universe is broad, though, could just be because I'm from too far away," she shrugs. "But, uh... well my power's not entirely magic... at least I don't think it is. Genuine magic doesn't exist back home, only things that mimic it. I also can't turn it off entirely or, like, control it at a lower power output than this"
“We’ll find a way to help you master it.” She said kindly.
A few minutes later, Adam walks into the grand hall, still dressed as he appeared in the mirror. “You called me Sorceress?” He asked as he approached. “‘Cause my dad was kinda annoyed that I left in the middle of the party and…who’s this?” He asked seeing Santinka.
She waves awkwardly, "Butterfly Monarch, I, uh... I'm from another world..." she introduces herself awkwardly. "Nice to meet you"
“Nice to meet you Monarch.” He said giving a casual wave. He then glanced at the Sorceress who nodded. “I’m Adam, Prince of Eternia.” He introduced himself. He then glanced behind him at the green tiger that seems to be trying to hide behind him, and chuckles. “And this is Cringer, my fearless friend.”
"Doesn't look so fearless to me," she chuckles, powering down to a simpler version of her look, losing the wings and her frilly, extravagant japanese style princess dress looks more simple and peasant-like. "Then again, animals can usually sense power and I got more than enough at my disposal so maybe a less powerful form would be less intimidating. No need for 100% when 25 will do," she shrugs, her hair is darker now, no longer white blonde and the lightest of pastel pink, instead it's more dishwater blonde and a normal shade of light pink, her dress is also less sparkly now, though her eyes are still a shockingly bright shade of pink with unnatural shines in the eyes that seem to reflect her emotions. "A pleasure to meet you both, I've never met royalty before"
“It’s mostly a confidence thing.” Adam chuckles looking back at Santinka. He then whistles as she powers down. “Nice. Although in my unbiased opinion, not as neat as mine.” He said drawing a sword from his back.
“Oh no, he’s showing off.” Cringer said moving away from Adam.
“By the power of Grayskull!” Adam shouted. Outside, thunder rumbled, the hall’s lights started glowing brighter, and from the depths of the castle, a massive energy surge rose and focused on the sword. Within moments the nineteen year old prince was replaced with a large man with equally large muscles, a breastplate, a skirt made with strips of leather, like an Ancient Greek warrior, and hide boots. “I have the power!” He-Man yelled. He then pointed his sword at Cringer who is now trying to run away, and an energy beam shot from the sword, hit Cringer, and transformed him, making him bigger and giving him armor, and an armored saddle.
"Nice," Satinka grins, and in a bright flash of purple she's back to 100% but instead of a butterfly princess look she's got demon wings and horns, wears a more lolita inspired black princess dress with red and dark purple accents, and her previously pink eyes are now a deep midnight purple. "But a bit one trick pony in my opinion," she flips some hair away from her face, sounding a little less playful and a bit more sinister now. "I got my base range of 5% to 100% power for each form, a rarely seen third power I've only used at full power or higher, and I can push myself beyond 100% power... oh, and muscles come standard," she chuckles and scoops up Cringer like he weighs nothing at all. "My base strength is 2000 pounds, but at 100% power I can well surpass that limit," she explains while petting Cringer like a kitten
“Impressive. But Battle Cat doesn’t like being held like that.” He-Man chuckled as Battle Cat growled. “Well, you’ll fit in with the Masters of the Universe if you want.” He added. He then held up his sword again. “Let the power return!” He shouted as energy shot out from the sword and returned to the depths of Castle Grayskull. With another flash of light, Adam and Cringer were back to normal.
“Come on, let’s get you to the palace where you can meet mom and dad, and please don’t tell them that I’m He-Man. I don’t want them to worry.” Adam said sounding sheepish. “At least I won’t have to lie about where I went this time.”
"Most cats don't like being held," Satinka chuckles, putting him down and powering down, with a flash of pink light to go back to the kinder looking appearance. "Sounds like my parents. They're soldiers but don't want me getting involved in any fighting. Almost didn't let me go to the best school in the country we're currently staying in because it's a hero school. Couldn't participate in school festivals either. I... can barely socialize actually... if I'm not doing my homework, I'm out trying to helo the heroes without using my strength or actually fighting. The only powers I've used enough to master are The Power of Friendship and The Power of Hatred, depending on form... everything else I'm figuring out as I go," she sighs, moving closer to him. "But at least I don't gotta power way down here, it's easier for me to control my powers with higher outputs"
Adam winced. “To be honest, I know my parents would be proud of me. Father says that I need to make something of myself to be a good king, but I don’t want them to worry. There are two others at court that know though. Man at Arms, he’s our weapons master and captain of our guard, and Orko, the court magician, and jester.” Adam explained as he guided her out of Grayskull, across the drop bridge to a vehicle, similar to a motorcycle, and shaped like a falcon, large enough for the two of them and Cringer.
"You're doing better than I am, then. Nobody else knows back home... I don't talk to people unless I have to so I don't have friends... growing up constantly moving from military base to military base doesn't leave much room for socializing and I never learned from my parents because they socialize different than normal people... they're exactly what every military wants, organized, focused on their work so much they fell in love over cleaning their weapons properly... they're sweet, and I know they care, it's just... they're really bad at showing it... and now that I'm older they're barely home"
“Well you’ve made one friend.” Adam says getting into the driver’s seat.
“Two technically.” Cringer pointed out. “Now that you’re not so scary.”
"That sounds way too easy," Satinka chuckles. "I thought you had to know someone for years before tbey were your friend?" She climbs in with Adam
“Eh, sometimes.” Adam said as Cringer climbed on to a wing of the craft. He then activated it and it started flying. “Meanwhile some people can become friends instantly.” He finished as he flew the craft back to the palace.
"That makes about as much sense as my powers, which so far seems to be very little," Satinka sighs. "But... I guess that's why I have such trouble with the light side of it... can't really use Power of Friendship to it's full potential when I don't wven understand how making friends works... the Power of Hatred is a lot easier"
“Well, that almost makes it sound like you’d fit in with the Forces of Evil.” Adam groaned. “How do you feel about literal bone headed demons with nasally voices?”
"Honestly, depends on how fun their plans are to foil," Satinka chuckles. "Nah, I'm no villain. Just a moody teen. I won't lie, I've picked fights and hurt other kids before but I was young, my powers hadn't even come in when I started fighting other kids. And they'd just developed when I stopped. But I haven't fought in a decade. Only helped. Mostly from a distance because how I'm helping is almost globally illegal these days"
“Why is it illegal?” Adam asked curiously as they landed in a hanger.
“Look who decided to come back after his joyride.” A girl about Adam’s age sneered while leaning on a wall. “And on your parent’s anniversary too.”
“Teela! Sorry, but you know when the Sorceress calls you, you have to answer.” Adam stammered out.
“And why should she call you? To lecture you on your laziness?” She shot back. “I swear Adam, you keep disappearing like this and you’ll never make a great king!”
"Oh, uh... well, powers appeared back home very suddenly, our society wasn't built for everyone to be able to suddenly do the impossible. For safety, it was deemed illegal to use powers in public without a license. A heroes license. Vigilantism is when you do that job without a license. Villainism is terrorism with powers. I use my powers to give the heroes a boost in big fights. Legally, they have to arrest me too. I got really good at losing a tail"
“Oh, who’s this?” Teela asked suddenly noticing Satinka.
“Oh she’s from another world, like mother and Orko.” Adam explained. “That’s why I left, she appeared in Castle Grayskull and the Sorceress summoned me.”
“That’s…a valid reason.” Teela sighed.
“Oh, introductions! This is Teela, she’s my childhood friend, practically grew up with me here in the palace. And…I’m sorry I didn’t get your name.” Adam said to Satinka awkwardly.
She thinks for a moment, "well that depends on how many light-years we are from earth. My name isn't what most people call me. Most people call me either Butterfly Princess or Demon Princess, but they don't take me very seriously so I'm trying to rebrand as more mature so they do, came up with Monarch just today. Think I'll keep the butterfly and demon parts, makes it sound like I'm 2 different people and helps me keep my identity protected"
