so what exactly happened to mournful?

The short answer is I’ve lost motivation.

The long answer is I’ve lost motivation because I’m dealing with some IRL issues at the moment as well as looking for a job.

I also don’t believe Mournful is up to the standard of quality I’d like it to be.  I’ve always said I don’t want to put out content I am not proud of.  With how I’ve evolved as an artist, both in my quality of art, and in my mindset, I cannot be proud enough of Mournful to release anything right now.

I cannot give a definitive answer as to whether or not Mournful will continue right now.

There's an au where the mournful downtown exist because it's canon, it's called the end of the joyful

(gonna assume ‘downtown’ was autocorrected from ‘doesn’t’ for answering this, in which case)

Two things:

1. You asked this to the wrong blog, this is AskOlathe.

2. Yes, that’s how a game with multiple endings works.  It’s possible to see different things happen.  Mournful takes place after the LEAVE THEM ending.  If you prefer the JOIN THEM ending, I’d recommend you follow the development of LISA: THE GRATEFUL.  If you can tolerate the developer and his magnetic attraction to discourse, it’s an interesting idea.

ASKOLATHE IS OFFICIALLY ON HIATUS.

Previously, it was just “I’ll answer it now and again when I can”.  I am now officially placing AskOlathe on hiatus.  I’m working on a new project.  I cannot fit in Mournful, AskOlathe, AND this new project.

However, I may use this blog to post teasers of the project, as it IS technically related...
