The possessed man stared at the back of the other’s head as he locked the door, dumbfounded. “Interesting…but…why? I would’ve expected you to just wait until I could leave Puzzle’s body without harming it and then go back to how you usually live. N-Not create me a body on your own to give.” His eyes shifted away and darted around before a gentle smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
The possession’s small stutter didn’t escape Para’s notice, but he chose to pretend that it did. Turning, he smirked playfully “What? So you could just run off and possess some one else?” His tone softened a bit. “You seem like you’ve got a lot of things you wanna do. I think it’s only fair that you get the chance.”
His grin returned from Para poking fun at him, laughing lightly as well. “How’s about I just follow you around, moving your things and shit!” His expression then softened once more. “But…don’t think I don’t appreciate it. No one has ever bothered to ask me that before. They’ve always just wanted me gone, nothing more.” He sighed lightheartedly before nudging Para with a smirk. “You’re a softy, you know?”
Para chuckled and nudged the other back. “Yeah, I know. When you see enough of the world, sometimes you get a bit soft in some ways. But don’t mistake me being nice as weakness. I just don’t like seein’ people get hurt.” He ruffled the possession’s hair a bit as he spoke. “Well, I don’t want you gone. You’re pretty entertaining to have around. I’m curious though- how long were yo trapped in that box?”
“For your world’s time? About 60 years after some loon caught me in a crazy contraption and threw me in that box. And now, after many decades, here I am, with the help of the boy with the raven locks.” He bowed gently toward the other before realizing he was complimented. “I’m…entertaining to have around? You enjoy my presence now that I have been found?”
“Of course. You’re spunky and clever. Been a while since I met someone I could banter with.” He bumped him lightly with his shoulder. “That’s a pretty long time to be cooped up in a box. No wonder you wanna get out and see the world a bit.” He offered him a small smile.
He returned the smile, trying to shake off the warm feeling growing inside him in the process. “You get used to it after a while, but it’s nice to get out. You seem like a pretty good guy, pretty laid back, not the kind to get angry and shout.”
Para chuckled. "You'd be surprised. Anyway, when we get ya a body, I'll be sure to take ya around to all the interestin' spots I know, sound good?" He smirked at him, then looked ahead. "Oh hey we're here" In front of them was an old, run-down looking house, ancient shutters creaking in the breeze.
