You know, as an art student, I'm very supportive of different styles for illustrations, different rendition of characters, artistic freedom in general. I don't really tolerate this kind of petty rant about such minimal details on my own preference of how to draw.

About Daisy being tanned: you know how she's the princess of a desert land, right? For me it's natural that she would look at least more tanned than Peach. About the eye color: green eyes are more common and are just as pretty as blue eyes, and I don't know of many Mario Bros. characters who have them, so I made Daisy with those instead of being a clone of Peach.

Another comment about this whole situation: I think we should embrace differently colored-skin characters as much as we can. It saddens me to think we play videogames because we relate to the characters in them, and some people can't relate to any of them. The majority of our population has tanned, black skin, and I don't think it's a sin to include that sort of detail in games. It took so long until we had a playable brunette in a Mario game, and I related to Daisy as soon I set my eyes on her, she represents me, and I would feel very happy if lots and lots of people would feel represented in games, and feel the same way I do.

That's just my opinion, if you don't like it, you can simply look somewhere else for a Ask-Daisy blog. I'm not competing in some kind of most realistic character contest, I'm showing you my rendition and my headcanons of Daisy.
