The Shibuya Duo

Hey! Pumpkinmon here! And Gotsumon too! Back and ready to hit the streets of Shibuya yet again! Hey Gotsumon, how are we still alive? I don't know Pumpkinmon, but I'm definitely not complaining! (Ask/rp blog for the two troublemakers, Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon) Tracks- ShibuyaDuo

"I see, what things do you like from this world?" He asked to the Digimon in a bored tone, as he expected that they would mention something useless or random.

"Batty? do you mean some Digimon like Myotismon?" He asked later to Gotsumon, as he knew that there were different vampire Digimon, so he wasn’t sure about which one Gotsumon was talking. Then he wasn’t too surprised by the remark that they mentioned, as people thought that his own partner was some mutated dog. "That makes sense, as humanoid Digimon indeed may remind people of the costumes used for some parties."

Alex wasn’t surprised by their reaction, as it was clear that those concepts would fly over their heads.

"We like going to the casino!"  Says Pumpkinmon. "Yeah, Pumpkinmon is really lucky at the slots!  Boy was he winning a lot.  But then we got thrown out cause someone thought we were kids in costumes."  Gotsumon mentions with a slight frown.  "Other than that we love going for ice cream and riding on top of the cars."  The both say with grins on their faces.

Gotsumon nods, "Yeah that's him!"  The duo shiver at the thought of him.  "He deleted us once before.  And tried to take over the human world!"  Pumpkinmon adds on.  "But he was defeated by the digidestined twice." 

They quickly change the topic.  "Wish they didn't sometimes."  Gotsumon grumbles.  "Takes the fun out of somethings."

Chakmon watched Gotsumon throw himself at the bushes expecting to catch his friend, but to little avail. Any prospect of this being the Gotsumon who was friends with Wolfmon’s partner had pretty much vanished as he never heard or saw of him hanging out with a pumpkin shaped Digimon.

Chakmon hung his head and sighed a bit in response to his disappointing realization. He then shook his head and snapped back to watching this new Gotsumon jump around trying to find his friend.

"Well I might as well introduce myself, I’m Chakmon, the Legendary Warrior of the Human Spirit of Ice." he said as he lent a hand trying to help the Gotsumon up. "Your friend must be very stealthy if you’re having this much difficulty finding him" the bear joked. "How long does it usually take for you to find him?"

"Something the matter pal?"  Asks the rock digimon when Chakmon sighs.  But when the snow bear introduces himself Gotsumon grins at him.  "I'm Gotsumon, but I guess you already knew that huh?"

The golem blinks, "Legendary Warrior...?  Like the digidestined?"  He takes the offered hand and stands up.  "Boy is he."  Gotsumon laughs.  "Hmm, takes me usually a good hour or so to find him.  Or I kinda give up occasionally and he finds me 'cause he get's bored of waiting."  He shrugs.  "All depends." 

Funny thing is, Pumpkinmon was indeed near by the two just far enough to catch pieces of what they were talking about. 

And part him wanted to jump out of his hiding place by three large boulders and introduce himself to this new digimon.  But that would ruin the fun.

It had been a while since he had seen other digimon, and he could barely keep in his excitement.

"Nice to meet you too, Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon! I’m Mammothmon, but you can call me Mercutio!" He smiled, his ears twitching. The ultimate level knelt down as they neared him, since he…really didn’t have a neck to look down with.

"Mercutio is is then!" Says Gotsumon with a smile on his rocky face.  "You're really nicer than the last Mammothmon we met.  Say..."  Pumpkinmon laughs at his new thought as the Mammoth kneels by them.  "Do you wanna play with us?" 

Gotsumon nods eagerly, "Yeah it would be really great to have a new 'mon to hang around with us!"  And maybe Mercutio wouldn't mind letting them ride on his back.  Last time they tried to ride on the Mammothmon in Myotismon's army they almost got squashed- but it was still really exciting.

The taller being gave a little chuckle as he was quick to follow after the duo, spiked tail swaying behind him with each step while he folds his arms behind his head. Feeling a bit jovial at this point, the Steelswarm soon began to hum aloud a happy tune.

Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon lead Roach to their usual snack spot, where a human groaned at the sight of the approaching digimon...and their more intimidating looking friend.  "Just take the ice cream."  Says the vendor pushing the cart to them and walks away.  She really need to find a new place to sell it.

Reaching into the cart they pull out an ice cream with big grins on their faces.  "Go ahead and pick what ever ya want buddy!"  Pumpkinmon nods, "Yeah its free!"

The Mammothmon stood there idly, scrunching a few leaves under his massive feet boredly. He heard the shuffling of feet behind him, as well as a few curious whispers. When he heard a small voice pipe up, he had to shift his big fuzzy self over to see where it came from, and his sights landed on two small digimon.

"Oh, uh, hi there you two!" Mercutio waved back to the duo with his trunk.

Yep, this Mammothmon definitely wasn't the one from before.  This one sounded much nicer.  Gotsumon is the first to speak.  "Nice to meet ya big guy!"  He lifts his hand up again to greet him. 

Pumpkinmon does the same, but nears the bigger digimon a bit.  "Yeah!  I'm Pumpkinmon and this is Gotsumon."  The two were really glad this Mammothmon wasn't like the one they used to know.  Boy was that one always grumpy.

Perhaps Puppetmon would have noticed the Gotsumon— perched in a tree almost exactly over his head— had it not been for the Woodmon that chose to interrupt at that exact moment. He obviously must not have been watching where he was going because he bumped right into the Dark Master.

 ”Hey, watch where yer goin’!” he exclaimed.

"Why don’t you watch where you’re—” The Woodmon audibly swallowed the rest of his sentence when he saw who he was talking to. “L-l-lord Piedmon, I didn’t—”

"You’re annoying," the puppet grumbled. His hammer was in his hands before the Woodmon even had a chance to think about turning and running away. A moment later there was no more Woodmon, just bits of data.

Pumpkinmon has no idea what his friend just witnessed.  The rock digimon just watched the scene unfold, mouth agape.

He was stunned to see how quickly the Puppetmon disposed of the Woodmon.  Yeah, sure, the tree digimon was being rude, but that didn't mean he deserved to be deleted just like that.  That was certainly a reminder of what these Dark Masters we capable of- at least from what Puppetmon told them.

Gotsumon gulps, hoping that what happened to the Woodmon wouldn't happen to him or his pal Pumpkinmon.  And right now he defiantly didn't want to be spotted yet.

 ”Haha, well, I couldn’t even tell them the answer outright.. I had forgotten,” he admitted. He’d used to live in that castle before Piedmon and Myotismon had both shown up, but the virus Piedmon had infected him with had affected his mind just as much of his body. It was a little embarrassing to think about how much of a batty old man he’d been. “So, you two’ve been back to the human world, I’m guessing?” Travel between the two worlds was easier than ever, elthough Gennai still had to keep a close eye on it. It wouldn’t do to have a stray Digimon wander bleary-eyed through a portal and panic on the other side.

"You still helped, so it counts!"  Says Pumpkinmon with a big smile.  Oh boy, if Gennai told them about him living in the castle before Myotismon he'd have to deal with a lot of excited and childish questions.

"Yep!  Actually I think we may have hatched back there instead of back at Primary Village for some reason."  They don't know why or how that would have happened though.  Gotsumon continues.  "It's really fun in the human world, but it's always nice to be back in the Digital World again!"  Nothing beats home after all.

 His girlfriend? He would like to think so, and the mention of it brought a dreamy look to his face. He let out a deep sigh as he reached for one of the flower stems that lacked its petals.

"She’s my partner," he replied diplomatically. Arukenimon would probably get mad if he called her his girlfriend, wouldn’t she? "She told me she would be back to pick me up, but it’s been hours now. Oh, I hope nothing’s happened to her.."

He hadn’t actually thought of that possibility before. Now he was actually concerned.

Pumpkinmon giggles a bit. Looks like this guy must really like his 'partner'.   Especially with that look he just had. Wait...Looking back at the flower stems and then back at Mummymon something seems to click as the Pumpkinmon looks like he's realized something.  "Hey, were you doing that love me, love me not thing?" 

Gotsumon blinks at his friend.  "Huh?  What's that, Pumpkinmon?  A game or something?"  The pumpkin digimon shakes his head.  "Uh, kinda Gotsumon."  They stop talking about it as Mummymon speaks up. 

"Maybe she wants to take a break and relax by herself?"  Says Gotsumon as he shrugs.  "You don't think she's mad at ya for some reason?"  Says Pumpkinmon.  The two don't know who this lady of Mummymon's is, so they didn't really have the right to assume things.  "The Digital World's really nice now, so I don't think anything bad would happen to her."  That's just another assumption.

Gotsumon: I don't think I like these 'teenage' things!

Pumpkinmon: Me either. Maybe I can reprogram her if I pull out her safety mechanism. *tugs on nose piercing*

"Uh...Thanks...I guess?" He blinked at the smell compliment before perking up a bit to the mention of snacks. "Snacks do sound nice. Heh, why not?"

The duo grin at Roach.  "You're welcome!"  Pumpkinmon gestures for both to follow.  "Alright!  The more company the better, follow me guys!"  The pumpkin digimon is already heading off to where they saw some really tasty treats. 

Gotsumon follows, but pauses to make sure their new friend was following.  "We'd better catch up with him, other wise he'll get all the good ones!"  He had a big smile on his face though, like he knew his friend really wouldn't do that.

Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon were hopping from place to place, full of energy as usual.  That is before they notice the big Mammoth digimon.  The sight of the Mammothmon makes the duo pause and stare.

"You think that's the same Mammothmon that went with us to the Human world Gotsumon?"  Gotsumon shrugs.  "I don't know...Maybe?"  It takes them a moment, but they work up enough courage to approach the giant furry elephant.  They sure kept their distance though.  "Uh, hi pal!"  Pumkinmon and Gotsumon wave up at the massive digimon.

"Makes sense then, and I suppose that you have stayed here, because it’s more fun than the Digital World." Alex said to the two Digimon, sighing when they did the dumb pose for the second time.

"Well, they went to my city thanks to the war that slowly destroyed their world. Therefore they wanted to find a new home, but sadly the human world isn’t exactly the best, as people were afraid of them." He explained why those creatures appeared in Berlin, as he didn’t know if the Japanese Digimon came to Shibuya for different reasons.

He listened to the Digimon when they introduced themselves, noticing that they were a bit disappointed when they knew that he wasn’t a Digidestined.

"I have a Digivice like the Digidestined, but I don’t use any special artifact for evolving my partner. I just need to activate my AIM Burst for that, which is a manifestation of my own essence." Alex told to the Digimon, thinking that they may be confused after hearing those concepts.

Both nod.  "Boy is it more fun!  You humans have a lot of neat things!"  Like the street's traffic lights.  Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon blink as Alex tells them more about himself, or more like the things he's had to deal with.

"That doesn't sound like it was good at all..."  Says Gotsumon with a gloomy look, wars were never great.  It reminded them of the time they were in Myotismon's 'army'.  "Yeah, most humans don't like some digimon...but then again some digimon are really bad.  Like batty."  Pumpkinmon nods as he mentions that.  "But were good 'mons, and most people think were...what did that guy calls us Gotsumon?"  It takes the rock digimon a minute to remember.  "Kids in costumes I think."  They shrug.

And now they look reeeaaallly confused as he explains the mechanics of his Digivice.  "Yeah, Okay." Is the only thing they say as they listen to his explanation.

 Wizardmon sighed. “I haven’t seen Gatomon since I came back,” he admitted. “I keep looking for her, but she always seems to be just one step ahead of me.”

Honestly, it felt like he had been just missing her for the better part of the year he’d been back. She was always just out of reach.

He was startled when the pair proclaimed that they would keep an eye out for Gatomon. Of course he knew that the pair had good hearts— he had always known that, it was the one thing he always knew— but he still hadn’t expected it, somehow. He wasn’t used to people offering to help him, even still.

"I— thank you both. If you see her.. tell her I’m looking for her. Coming from you, she’ll probably believe it." After all, if the two of them were back, it wasn’t so improbabl for Wizardmon to be back either. "I would be very grateful."

"Really?  Wow..."  Pumpkinmon is having a hard time getting the fact that the two couldn't find each other.  Or at least Wizardmon couldn't find her at least.  "We'll keep a real good eye out for Gatomon pal!"  Gotsumon nods quickly.

"Yeah!  And when we do spot her we'll tell Gatomon you've been looking for her and help get you two back together!"  This time they both cross their arms and nod.  It looked somewhat funny considering they were trying to be serious. 

"No problem, Wizardmon!"  Exclaims Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon, still full of energy.  "It's the least we can do, after all we're always running all over the place.  We'll bump into Gatomon sooner than later!"  It wasn't often the duo took a goal seriously, but this was for a friend.

Puppetmon reached fifteen and surprising no one sped through the last five numbers very quickly. He pulled his hands from his eyes and looked around. Sure enough, his two new playmates were nowhere in obvious sight. At least their game wouldn’t be boring. He hated when his games were too easy. He also hated to lose, of course, but he liked things to at least be challenging before he won.

He slung his hammer onto his back and hummed as he walked into the forest. Most forests had the sounds of Digimon who lived there, but this one didn’t. This was Puppetmon’s playground and the Digimon knew better than to make a sound when he was around. He had killed too many of them out of sheer boredom.

 ”Hehe, you guys are good at this,” he giggled as he stopped to peer behind rocks and trees and under bushes.

Pumpkinmon still in the old log, keeping as quite as he can.  Though he was really excited- it wasn't that often they got to play with another digimon that wasn't each other.  Briefly, the pumpkin digimon wonders how long it'll take before he's found.

Gotsumon on the other hand...well it would seem that he didn't go that far away from Puppetmon.  The reason the golem realized that was because he heard the wooden digimon's voice- though slightly muffled.  Pumpkinmon was right, he most likely gonna be found first.  'Oh well, might as well not try to rustle these leaves to much.' He though to himself and tried not to move that much.

Oh how adorable! She was taken aback for a moment at first. But she always told herself to stay put to see how they really are. And already she witnesses just how silly they can be as of so far. Sayaka smiled and even giggled at their little joke. Sure it was lame, but at the same time it is downright adorable!

"Hello! If it’s okay with you, then sure." This will probably be a fun encounter, who knows.

The two were relieved that they weren't annoying this new girl.  At least not yet- though they had no intentions of doing so what so ever.  And they made her giggle! 

"I'm Pumpkinmon!"  As he says that he grabs an ice cream from his friend and offers it to her.  Looks like it was strawberry flavored.  "It's definitely a-okay with us!"  

The rock digimon nods, "Uh huh, we got plenty!  I'm Gotsumon by the way!"  Spending time with a nice human girl was great to them. Good thing she didn't see how they got the ice cream though- the two trouble makers paid a visit to that one vendor again.  Think that the poor guy just gave up chasing them.

Pumpkinmon! Doesn't that ax in your head hurt?

"My ax?"  Pumpkinmon shakes his head.  "Nope!  Doesn’t hurt at all.  Actually, sometimes I forget about it being there." 

He reaches up and pulls the hatchet out.  “See, no problem here.”  The ultimate puts it back in its place.  “Feels funny without it.”

 ”Yes, they remembered you. I think those kids remembered all of the Digimon who they met during that time,” he said fondly. He was supposed to be neutral but he had a very obvious soft spot for the Digidesteined. “And I really wasn’t all that useful. I just gave them some advice, really. Like how to get through the Gate after Myotismon went through.”

"That's really nice of them!"  Pumpkinmon wonders if they'd ever get a chance to hang out with all the rest of the Digidestined. Specially Matt, TK, and Gabumon.  "Never did get to give Gabumon that ice cream...Maybe when we met them again we could all get some!"  The mere thought makes the two get goofy smiles on their faces.

"I don't know pal, that sounds really useful to me!"  Gotsumon nods as he states that.  "Yeah, especially with batty's Gate!  Those cards of his were confusing..."
