"maybe this spell isn’t meant to be used on inanimate objects or we can try doing the complicated gestures together in unison next time on another inanimate object."

Lady looked at her brother then walked over to a nearby closet door, opened it and looked around for something

"I’m fairly certain it was intended to be used on inanimate objects.. hm. Next time I’ll make sure my magic is at its peak and try it on my own, and if that doesn’t work we can both try it in unison. Two spellcasters might have been too many."

He followed her over to the closet. “Need help finding anything?”

"I think I know where one has a shop yes. I saw it as I was passing by a small village while delivering some potions to a costumer. The inside looked similar to a mechanics shop. I can take you there if you like."

"We'll make a day of it."

 Wizardmon winced involuntarily as Cherish pressed the disinfectant to the long cut on his upper arm.

"S-sorry.." he murmured, not sure whether he was apologizing for flinching or for getting hurt in the first place.

"I was like that once, myself."

"Hello, Demyx. It’s been a long time."

"Yeah. Sorry about that. Lost track of time I guess." He chuckled. "How have you been?"

"Oh, can't complain. Things have been quiet, thankfully. Which is unusual for the Digital World, but not unwelcome."

Still holding the other half of the small machine, Wisemon takes a step towards Wizardmon and looks over his work.  “It’s alright.”  Amir took note of how his fellow Witchelny digimon massaged his fingers- this Wizardmon had more stitches on him than Solomon had.  

"Certainly, do so.  You’ve helped quite a lot, and by the looks of it efficiently as well."  Upon further observation it seemed like Wizardmon got the majority of the wiring done.  "You did quite a good job on this."  The older digimon held out his hand.  "I can finish the rest if you’d like."  With the way the wires were set up now Amir didn’t really need to worry about his claws piercing them unintentionally.

Wizardmon bowed his head slightly at the praise, slipping his gloves back on and handing the device back over to Amir. Feeling was starting to return to his fingers, giving him pins and needles that he tried to ignore.

"I'm glad I could be of some use," he murmured, his earlier shyness returning with a vengeance. He adjusted his cloak to better cover his face, just to give himself something to do, and picked up the staff that he'd set aside. "It's been a while since I've worked with anything like this," he admitted.

"I’ll pack up some sodas, snacks and beach equipment for us."

Lady turned and looked at the shattered vase then back at Wizardmon

"Don’t worry about the mess, we  can clean it up afterwards."

"I still have no idea what went wrong with the spell."

"There's nothing wrong with being a little blunt. Some people just need to know people better before they can be friends with them."

Lady smiled nodded

"Datamon might be able to make you a GPS that works in the Digital World. Maybe you can ask him."

"I haven't seen a Datamon in ages. Any idea where one might have set up shop?"

LadyWizardmon noticed Wizardmon’s nervous look and smiled

"It’s ok bro, you don’t have to swim in the ocean if you don’t want to. If you like, you can bring a book to read if that relaxes you. You’ll have to wear sunblock or your face will be as red as a Gullimon’s"

Wizardmon blushed slightly. "Well.. I suppose after something as eventful as this, the beach would be rather relaxing."

"Hmmm… no idea. We try and find a Datamon’s shop. Those little guy know a lot about technology. If we have no luck with them. We could try the Human World."

"I doubt GPS technology from the human world would work in the Digital World, but Datamon sounds like a good place to start."

LadyWizardmon hugs her brother

"I know what would relax you. How about a nice trip to the beach."

"The.. beach?" He looked a little nervous about the idea. "If that's what you want, Lady."

Lady thought on this 

"how about we go and buy you one then? my treat."

[im-institches]

"Don't be ridiculous, I'm not going to let you buy something like that for me. I don't know where to find a place that sells them in the Digital World, though. Any ideas?"

At Wizardmon’s reply, Amir absentmindedly nodded in response as he continued to construct the parts of the device in his hands carefully together.  The Wisemon didn’t say a word they both worked on their respective devices- he knew the most successful mechanical work was that made in silence.  

How he managed to work with that loud mouth of a sister of his was a test of patience (and a few curses when something went wrong when the Witchmon surprised him with her sudden outbursts of babble).  Though thanks to the pleasant silence, Amir surprisingly got his half of his machine done quicker than he expected.  He looked over the part of the digivice he completed and put the tools he was using back into his book.

Wizardmon focused intently on the delicate work, trying to ignore the way his hands were tingling slightly, until he no longer could. He withdrew them before he messed up any of the work he had already done, carefully massaging his fingers to try and get the circulation back. The stitches were particularly plentiful on his right, dominant hand, which he massaged carefully with practised precision.

"Sorry," he apologized reflexively. "I might need to take a bit of a break."

"Really. They had good judgement, especially considering how young they were. I'm sure they surrounded themselves with good Digimon."

Lady checked to make sure there were no injuries to Wizardmon and helped dust him a bit then hugged him

"Well you’re not wounded that’s a real good thing."

Lady said as she looked over at the shattered vase pieces

"I think by doing the gestures separately, we made the spell explosive. Do you want to try the spell once more or not?"

"I think I've had enough excitement for one day, personally," he replied as he cracked his back with a sickening pop. "I must be getting old."
