There was more shaking as something sealed fo the side.
"Have to send grace to cut. Human not survive in rockys atmosphere. Rocky not survive in humans. Cant cut him out without mixing atmosphere."

Ryland sounds like he gets further away from the radio, theres a knocking on the side. And a muffled "stand back!"
[Simon immediately backs away from the wall the sound filters through, eyes wide with concern and...hope.]

[He waits anxiously, clutching the small sapling pendant in his hand for comfort.]

An arch of metal fell away, revealing Grace, standing there in a clear hall, atmosphere sealed, but transparent so the swirling stars and galaxy could be seen around him through the hexagonal planes. His hair fluffled up around the goggles hed pushed up to his head, glasses hanging wonkily, a bright warm smile like the sun aimed in simons direction, though Grace doesnt know his actual name yet. "Hey!, youre free" he said softly. Not knowing the full weight those words held. "Want to come up to the marry?"
[Simon pauses, still recovering from the large clatter of metal, before looking up to meet the face of the other. The rush of fresh air- well, as fresh as spaceship air can be- floods the sub, swirling in Simon's lungs.]
Grace. I didn't think you'd actually- I- yes, I'd...I'd like that, I think. Are you serious? This- this isn't a trick?
[He takes a step forward, full of the hesitance and suspicion he was raised to hold. Slowly, though, Grace can see those emotions just barely falter, replaced with possibility.]
"Of course its not" he smiled. Reaching out to offer simon a hand. "Come on up, its.. really hot down here, im sure youd like to cool down, and ill get you some food and water" he spoke tenderly. "Are you hurt?"
Food...? No, I- I won't take that from you, but...I'd be nice to get somewhere cooler, I won't lie.
[Simon blinks at the last question, unsure both of the answer, and why he's being asked. Surely it wasn't to actually see if he was okay, right?]
I mean, I'm a little banged up. Some scratches on my arm, maybe a concussion? Not a big deal- most of the blood isn't my own, so...
"You really should eat, ill get some fresh bandages for you and we can check for that concussion" he spoke kindly. Leading simon up to the mary. Being so tender with him.
[He nods in confusion, not sure what else to do. Most of Simon's brain is fuzzy at this point, purely clouded with relief. He still thinks half of this is a dream- that he's dead, still in that wretched sub- but chooses to follow along anyways.]

The hall of clear tunnels winded a bit, as it wenr upwards to the mary. Since its clear, that ment they had a wonderful veiw of thr stars as they move to the much brighter, cooler, ship. "How are you feeling?" He asked.

Specifically when Simon says it, and it gets Grace incredibly flustered. Eventually, Grace finally works up the courage to call Si something back (Darling, sweetheart, love, ect-) and Simon just. Freezes. Freezes, melts, and just holds Grace for wayyyy too long him to not realize his feelings-
Mutual nicknames across the board- though I haven't found one that perfectly fits Grace -> Simon. I've stuck with Sweetheart so far, but it feels like a placeholder TwT Suggestions more than welcome!!]

"You dont.. know what that is? Its.. the infared light arc streaching from the sun fo venus.. we discovered it was due to the astrophage caused by it actually. Its its travel path, its..wait- why..why were you sent out here? If it..wasnt to stop..whats been killing the stars?" He asked. "If..you dont mind my asking..., i...we. rocky and i, might be able to help?, hes an enginner and im a scientist,..maybe..we can help you?"
[With a bitter, tired laugh, Simon turns to the speaker.]

You can tell because!.." he went off on a side tangent about the diffrence betten the light of a dead star and living one, only shaken from it by a series of whistles and trills. "Oh! Right, sorrh rocky- hey if you wanna talk to him too go grab your AAC" he chuckles.
Theres scrabbling then a robo voice said
"Where human question?"

"Blood moon?, that's- ..thats not something ive heard of.. im presuming you done mean the earth phenomena.." he whispers.

"No, and a blood moon is typically an earth phenomenon fhat occurs during a total lunar eclips when the earth is between the sun and moon perfect and blocks direct sunlight, it makes the moon appear to be red, i get the sense were from... very diffrent places" grace whispers.
"Erid rocky home planet! Going back now after saving stars! Bringing grace with!"

That must've been nice to look at...Ever since the Rapture, the only Blood Moons we have are literal. I...wouldn't be surprised, if we're not from the same place. Seems likely-

"Ive never heard of AT-5 either..." he mumbles. "This ...honestly feels like your in another dimension but that would be..." he chuckled.

Theres more trills and whistles as grace starts to jot things down. "Ive got a bead on your ship, but it comes through warped. Probably that whole.... huh.." he hummed. "Rocky is asking how sturdy your ship is"
It's gone through hell and back, I'm sure it's sturdy enough for...whatever it is you have in mind.
"Do you know what its made out of?" Ryland asks translating rockys rapid fire trills and whistles.
No clue. Metal, but- not sure what kind. Probably just whatever scrap they had left to throw together.

S'far as I know of, it isn't an Earth phenomena.

I...uh- you want to take me with you? Is Erid some sort of...C.O.I branch off?
"What c.o.i question?" Rocky asked.
"C.o.i?" Grace mutters. "No, and a blood moon is typically an earth phenomenon fhat occurs during a total lunar eclips when the earth is between the sun and moon perfect and blocks direct sunlight, it makes the moon appear to be red, i get the sense were from... very diffrent places" grace whispers.
"Erid rocky home planet! Going back now after saving stars! Bringing grace with!"

That must've been nice to look at...Ever since the Rapture, the only Blood Moons we have are literal. I...wouldn't be surprised, if we're not from the same place. Seems likely-

"No,.. no i can see planets though the windsheild.., this is.. really weird.. and.. your radio coordinates are..showing up oddly too.. the only space station i know of is the ISS, and ..thats ways back in the milkyway.., thats.. huh.." he mumbles. "Ive never heard of AT-5 either..." he mumbles. "This ...honestly feels like your in another dimension but that would be..." he chuckled.

"You dont.. know what that is? Its.. the infared light arc streaching from the sun fo venus.. we discovered it was due to the astrophage caused by it actually. Its its travel path, its..wait- why..why were you sent out here? If it..wasnt to stop..whats been killing the stars?" He asked. "If..you dont mind my asking..., i...we. rocky and i, might be able to help?, hes an enginner and im a scientist,..maybe..we can help you?"
